First off thanks. I'm not that pleased with the tone in this video. I'm getting better at capturing what this pedal sounds like. The pedal is one of the best distortion pedals out. This is the distortion coming out from the pedal. Other things due affect the pedal tone such as the amp, cabinet and guitar. I've seen this pedal used for $50 and it's a steal at that price.

I think on this clip on might have had it set to 1. I prefer to have it off. It let's you have a fuller voice of the distortion and it does not produce that much noise for a high gain pedal. check back soon I'll have a new clip up.

That's pretty much how the pedal sounds. The amp and 4x12 cabinet help to create a bigger sound. If you are using a smaller amp is does sound good just not as big.

How do you compare the Uber Metal with other pedals ? .... Boss , Metal Muff , Metal Master ?

I've played the boss mt-2 and the metal master. The mt-2 is a good pedal but is a kinda dated. That pedal was made years ago. Metal master was ok but no mid control and when you put that my different kind on pedals into one something has to give. It's all personal choice. The uber has it's draw backs as well. (I don't like how it sounds with EMG pickups) Digitech has a new distortion pedal called the Hardwire TL-2. The TL-2 is a monster.

Lose some of that bass and re-adjust the treble and presence to make it sound less fizzy. There's no way that tone would work with a band as it is now.

I agree. This tone would not work in a band. I not too pleased with how how the sound turned out. But it has plenty of treble? When I play in a band I use allot of bass and get a sick low end tone. The uber metal pedal is great for getting a tone that is heavy and fun to play along with cds'.

Well, you've got your mids scooped, and you've got the bass and treble way up there to compensate for it. If you turn down the bass and treble, you'll still be left with scooped mids, but your tone will be more full-sounding and clear. That's how you get a good tight tone.

Dude, you should record your sound direct. I did it to ONE of my songs ,(Red Sector A by RUSH), and it turned out better. I'm also going to redo all my tunes here on youtube in STEREO and DIRECT into Sony Vegas 7.0
