Brotherhood was awesome but it was too cliched honestly.The first series,however,while having its flaws,was better.It had more depth.And im being pretty objective since i was reading the manga already when i watched the first series.

@euphratesf MORE depth? The depth is why I prefer Brotherhood. In the original series everything seemed to come and go too quickly. Where as with Brotherhood they took the time to explain everything with greater detail.

@euphratesf Yeah but the explanations in the 2003 anime were forced and infested with deux ex-machina, the 15 first episodes of brotherhood were rushed because they were mostly things already seen in 2003 FMA, however there on, Brotherhood take time to follw the manga in a very detailed way, being able to explain all the situation in a more convincing and coherent way.

Brotherhood is actually the Manga Version of FMA, so technical this is like the beginning of FMA. I still prefer this one, its so much better than 2003, but that one also had a few good things about it. But I still prefer this one, it was a masterpiece with Edward's ending and everyone elses. I mean, the two brothers Ed and Al were together and Ed marry Winry, which I enjoy! So Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is one of the top anime series I've enjoy!

The funny thing is, if you look up the history, there was a Persian King named Xerxes who married a woman named Amestris. I love the connection. Even the names of the soldiers hold significance (The Hughes tank, the Mustang plane), Hiromu Arakawa put so much time and effort into everything it's remarkable.
