this is why kids are ignorant about things the last generation knew: sure it's a little campy and not a great history piece and it doesn't compare to today's animated series, but this is how you get kids to learn about history's great conflicts. 'Marvel shows can't show Nazis to kids'... Captain America STARTED with showing Nazis to kids!

@jbray34 OOOHHH that bugged me soooo much when I first watched this as lil kid and it STILL does. It's such a perfect setting for Cap to infiltrate Skull Island with the Spidey-Friends. I don't understand what they were thinking benching Cap for this one for fucking Hiawatha Smith who they're essentially showing doing the same things Cap would. Boomerang for shield.

Even though Cap showed up in "Pawns of the Kinpin" and "SLSH" THIS is what he's all about and the show butchered the chance.

@ARMquaman I guess they figured that since Cap had already guested twice already, they didn't need him a 3rd time. However, they should have saved one of those guest appearances for this episode. After all the Red Skull is Cap's number one enemy.

... the bad thing is, you would never see such a story today-- the casual references to WWII, Hitler, etc. the Nazis are clearly villains here, as they should be-- but political correctness in "children's television" prevents such stories from being created.. this entire series needs to be put on DVD, and fast..

Thanks soooooooo much for putting this up. Loved this show when I was a kid but Marvel won't release the DVD set. I've taped every episode but this one because no one has the balls to air it since it's got...... gasp......Nazi symbols. WTF????  It's not like the Red Skull & the Nazis are the good guys for Christ sakes. This politically correct generation is going to grow up so sheltered that if they meet the slightest bit of resistance they're going to fold like a cheap suit. Thanks again

@hypnodance The sad thing is that in the most recent Avengers series, the producers had to choose between Nazis with lasers or the allies fighting HYDRA with guns during WWII. They went with the latter.
