  • God damn it I'm trying to dance to this music but it keeps skipping.

  • An Xbox 360 is better then this rig.

  • 240p we meet again!

  • oooh....Intel Pentium!!! lol

  • i had that board and the south bridge died :/ and that took away my new case and video card... :(

  • 450w? Damn.. That thing would not even power up my MARS-II Series videocard..

..not so strange, it eats 700w for lunch, and in SLI it takes 1400..

  • HAHA Porn Music FTW!!!

  • How much RAM did he use?

  • @trumbachd1 over 9000

  • Fuck my life, this is still better than my computer.

    *Sad face*

  • Once upon a time this was powerful gaming system kids.

  • I still use that corsair vx 450 on my core i7, 8gb ram, evga 560 TI. Salvaged it from 2007

  • @Garyyx24 wow....

  • @BenRSilva what lol.... it powers my rig perfectly fine because the amps on that thing is insane

  • If you overclock the CPU to 4 GHz-ish and use a 460 GTX (or equivalent) instead of the 8500 GT, you will play most 2011 games just fine at High-Ultra settings/1080p. Only titles like The Witcher 2 or Crysis 2 (with the DX11/textures pack) will require you to tweak some settings, but you should be fine if you know what you're doing.

  • Suck Enough Gaming System

  • yeah old school ncix with music : vintage video ^^

  • @LordTrazaza1 i have a old pc under my bed

  • maan, pentium has better cpu cooler than core i7 today :P

  • great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • so old and slow now hes all in ur face about whats new (thats good)

  • About the CPU, i think an easier installation would be to tight to cpu in diagonal direction and not in a circle.

  • wow 4 years old and these parts blow!

  • Linus this video was painful to watch, I am begging you please dont ever stop talked at 99999 words per minute.

  • if thats good enough, then my pc SUX!

  • jesus christ....that shit is terrible

  • @POPCORN454545 3 years old

  • Lol Ghetto PC!

  • 5.34 @ bodybuilder

  • would it be safe to build one on an open case like this and it still run properly ?

  • why the 8500 ? there were better cards in 2k7 :p

  • wow graphics cards were puny a couple of years ago lol

  • i looking for his comp case

  • name of the case please

  • lol old school NCIX

  • @ijoshtech it is pretty funny to see how much more advanced ncix tech tips has gotten now compared to this video.

  • Should've went with AMD. Any "gooed enough" gaming rig needs an AMD processor. Much, much cheaper.

  • @GarrettBMXes You are right.

  • damn linus ... !!!

you still got 2 years warranty from corsair PSU..

    sell it now !!!

  • ppl who want to save extra money you can purchase a generic brand video card which will still come with at least one year full local warranty by reseller, any 80plus psu has to meet power consumption and quality component guidelines and efficiency, corsair is one of the most expensive but you can get equal quality cheaper psu's in the low end range. The money you save can be invested in a slightly better vid card and cpu heatsink for overclocking. choose low end up to date components of corse :)

  • He broken the motherboard!!!!

  • It is a computer and thas it.

  • @D0wnshift He's just talking as he's doing it... better than dead air.

  • 2:55 "Go ahead and pull the motherboard out of the box, take off the anti-static bag"

Thank god for these wicked tech tips.

  • HELP HELP!! I NEED HELP INSTALLING MY POWER SUPPLY?? How do I do it?

    Lol.

  • @jdcrispe95 Where it says dont open, well you open it. Make sure you have Power on before doing this. Otherwise you might see other day.

  • @hunterto99 lol he doesnt show how to put it power supply..

  • i hate the fourth one ive broken two heatsinks on it -.-

  • In my school computers start up the system in maybe 2-3 minutes but they have a 3 GH/z Pentium Processor and 1 Gig of RAM

  • My school's computers run like they cost like 50 bucks lol

  • @Delcaroll we got a new ones so they run like a low end computer :D, though we still got some OLLLDDD ones that run like they're from the 90s

  • @camdened123456 :| i actually spent 45 minutes booting it once then waiting 5 minutes for internet exlplorer 5 to start -.-''

  • Do an updated one of these videos, I plan on building a new compter and need some help buying some stuff. Don't have to much money to spend so make it less than 700$? haha thanks

  • Shit it's only been 3 years, and these components are completely garbage. My new $2000 i7 rig is gonna be a joke in 3 years from now. Lame.

  • @supersteveg2a not really, i mean, they constantly release new crap that is not necessary unless overclocking/latest framerate is your job lawlz

  • @supersteveg2a Not really. Long as your not a 3D mark addict then just keep uprading your video card and rams sometimes and you can keep the system well at the top for maybe 10 years or so?

  • @justmymage u mad?

  • @supersteveg2a so it is better to buy an xbox console ?

  • @supersteveg2a Kinda true, but remember that the budget on this one in the video was right under $600.

  • @supersteveg2a welcome to technology

  • @supersteveg2a Those components were already garbage 3 years ago. I'm rocking on a two year old system that I spent about $700 on. I'm playing Metro 2033 on very high settings. Looking at the games coming out towards the end of this year, I don't expect my computer to be so garbage. Even if you have the kind of rig you say you have, you're just spewing libel that a console fanboy might nearly say.

  • @supersteveg2a Your rig is sooooooo 2 months ago. You should totally upgrade to sandy bridge architecture.

  • @supersteveg2a no it will be quite rusty after 4.5 years :0

  • @supersteveg2a

Well, if you think about it, someone with a build consisting of these parts would probably only be playing games that came out before or shortly after they made their computer. I'm still running a Pentium 4 @ 2.4Ghz, and it will still play most games that came out even in '08. It cannot, however, play things like Crysis or Starcraft, etc etc. Honestly, it's lasted me 8 years for what I've played on it, so I can't complain about things truly being obsolete.

  • @supersteveg2a its been a year no new intels have came out but AMD has the new x6 series XD

  • @supersteveg2a dye-shrink and replacements for the x58 systems coming Q4 2011 - Q2 2012, get ready to sell! :)

  • @supersteveg2a Remember is a "good eough" pc so is like you bought a core i3 and a 6770 today. I played Crysis 2 with a pentium 4 3.2gh ht, 2.5gb ram and an hd 4670.

  • @savagemessiah82 Wow. That's quite an accomplishment. I'm assuming you didn't play on full graphics at 1080p. I'm a graphics whore, and I need very high settings at more than 45 fps at full HD. I'm so terrible. Funny...I just upgraded to 12 GB of RAM. It wasn't necessary, but I got it for $40, so I could not pass up a deal like that. I'm not bashing your rig, I personally just wouldn't be able to handle gaming on that setup.

  • @supersteveg2a welcome to the world of pc gaming my friend :P

  • @supersteveg2a

yes but most people are not dumbasses and build an amd gaming rig for $800 and use the $1200 in 3 years for a brand new gaming rig

  • @supersteveg2a then dont spend a shitload and dont be a dick n complain about taht shit who cares when u got money to blow anyway, if ur gonna spend 2k on a comp then u shud stfu tech is like that

  • @sexking83 holy shit man. im just kidding around. chill. i love my computer. its fucking boss. besides, this is a good enough system. mine is way past good enough.

  • @supersteveg2a lawl k, i hate the assholes that spend a shitload on their computer n 3 years later they complain like a child spamming every corner of the internet

  • @supersteveg2a nah your i7 rig is gone be a joke either next year with Ivy bridge cpu generation and new gpu's or in 2013 with haswell cpu generation from intel and then another gen of gpu's to go with it

  • @MrMousekiller9s.. I have really old PC, AMD x2 5000+ from 2006 and 9600gt and it can run all new games from 2011 in 1080p on medium/high setings. Most of the games are console ports. So if you are not opsesed with maximum setings, I7 wont be a joke even in 4 years... i doubt that new xbox/ps3 will have stronger procesor..

  • @XSpaceStormX depends what is for you a playable frame rate , i don't play lower than 40 or else i don't feel like playing properly and i'm not sure you can play very demanding games with a stock clock 9600gt .

  • @MrMousekiller9 Portal 2 ,Dead Space 2 and similar games 60fps but in Metro, Crysis 2... around 30 fps /advanced(medium). 9600gt is low end dx10 card but In my opinion some options are automatically disabled (not suported), so thats why it can handle new games., and yea as i said also because of xbox and ps3

  • @ khantko that was '07 ma man, and btw where you got the PC case ?

  • That's some stone age shiznit!

  • @heynicetry I guess any one who watches this show is bound to see that comment, lol. I'll give a thumbs for this one, even though it's pretty immature, lol.

  • these look like my school computers.O:

  • I cant believe that costed around $600 back then. That setup cant do shit now...

  • @STEPHENOHYEA indeed

  • @STEPHENOHYEA time's passing by, mate. Time's passing by. High-end gaming PCs from today are going to be the same in like 3 or 4 years.

  • hahaha great old video

  • Ghetto tech mod- bolt a box fan next to the open side of your PC case

  • Where's the power supply?

  • please---can you do a good enough game system video - with AMD and ASUS

  • how much ram ?

  • I wish a 'good enough gaming system' cost $600 Australian, nowadays ;_;

  • guys its a 2007 video..

  • i just bought a premade Dell i7 quad core Nvidia 3D ready. lol

  • @pikachuthesquirtle you shouldnt buy computers, just build one

  • @masik7290 see not everyone is a spoiled brat like u. buying 1 premade cost less than half of wat u need to build 1...

  • DUDE when you put the intel heat sink on you should do it criss crossed that is why you are having trouble.....

  • zorry press and rotate

  • pulse and rotate, not press with force the cooler fan the procesor

  • i was wondering, im planing to buy a asus g73h gaming notebook that has two hard drive slots. it comes with a 500 gb hdd so i was thinking of putting an intel ssd but wondering if i should configure it through raid 0 or just have it seperate. are there any other solutions for cheap fast hard drive solutions?

    thanks

  • @whitekid1324

Are you trying to RAID an SSD and HDD?

  • where are you from?? Finland??

  • i miss the old days when the intel stock cpus were actually decent.

  • LINUS? that is one weird ass name.

  • HeY buddy Nice vedio, Subscribed, Hey could you please suggest me for a good mobo in $150 with intel e 7500 cpu and $54 for graphic card .I want to play crysis and nfs like high end games.Thanks.

  • Hey linus where could i get one of those test bed cases?

  • i want to upgrade me video card but I'm NOT sure what will work in PC, I have a ATI Radeon HD 4800 series right now what can i get that's better?

  • @agnus420 Dude, Just get GEforce, Its more recognised, I dont know anything about ATI radeon. GEforce is the best brand, get an Geforce 8400

  • @rocknroll980 lol 8400

  • @PcMrGaming Oh yeah, did I say that? shit, well I update my mind in few days, 9500 good.

  • @rocknroll980 Are you retarded? That is a huge downgrade.

NVIDIA is crap at the moment except for the GTX460.

  • @rocknroll980 You're not too smart, are you? Don't give advice unless you know what you're talking about.

  • @agnus420 I guess you should wait for the ATI 6000 series that will come in a few months.

  • u suck ... that y u get5 stars mon lol

  • This system is a joke compare to what we have today.

  • @kevingong Thats today this was made 3 years back.

  • We need the 2010 edition of this vid.

Can't wait to see what you'll choose.

    Cheers !

  • we need 2010 edition\ Good Enough Gaming System.....

  • Thumbs up if he should make a new vid with more current components.

  • WHAT IS THE CASE???

  • I had an 8500 GT... IT SUCKED lol

  • anyone know where i could get one of those open cases(test bench)

  • Don't laugh ;D my secondary computer is still running strong after 6 years with a AMD 3200+ (2Ghz) and a nVidia 6600GT :D

  • @jylounen Amd 64 4000+

    nVidia 6100.

Sadly, this is my primare computer.

however, on monday. i get my new gaming computer. my first build ever! ^_^

  • Use a better case =)

  • this was my first build in early 06'

    C2D e6300

    Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3

    Evga Geforce 8800 GTX

2 Gigs of Corsair Value select memory(lolz I know better now)

and matching 160 GB Western Digital Hdd's in raid 0

she was my first and i still have it serving as my media player 4years old and still kicking arse

  • I , myself for under $ 500 make my system with Core 2 Duo , Ati radeon HD 4870 , 1 Tb Western Digital HDD , Still , i don't know what mainboard to get. Any advice ?

  • I built a pc much better than this for under $600!

Amd Phenom 8400 x 3 (I know its not good, nor bad though)

    ati sapphire HD 4670

    2gb ddr2-800 corsair gaming ram

    500gb WD caviar

    500w cit 27 amps (12v) psu

Some other components not that all important.

for £289... and I can play bad company 2 on high @ 26 fps. My 5 year old pc outpreforms this one.

  • why wouldn't you use an athlon ii it's like 50 bucks and with a cheap micro mobo you can get both the cpu and mobo for around 90 dollar. If you want to save more money use newegg no taxes. You can get an athlon ii for 50 dollars, a mobo for 40$,then a 9800 gt+ 50$ with an antec 300 50$. You can get a 500 gb hard drive for 60$ and a cheap ocz pus for 40-50$ with a 6 pin that can play crysis at 1600x1050 resolution. If 2 core isnt enough get a athlon ii x4 it performs pretty well for the price.
