I'm Polish- first of all mant thanks to all warm words among comments here from non-Polish people. We Poles love freedom and human dignity of all people (not only Poles) and this why our fathers and grandfathers fought so fiercely in WWII- if you love freedom such as we do and feel you can't let lunatic nazi ideology kill and persecute the weaker you are the first to fight...as we were.
I judged the Poles by their enemies. And I found it was an almost unfailing truth that their enemies were the enemies of magnanimity and manhood. If a man loved slavery, if he loved usury, if he loved terrorism and all the trampled mire of materialistic politics, I have always found that he added to these affections the passion of a hatred of Poland. She could be judged in the light of that hatred; and the judgment has proved to be right."
Monte Cassino, Arnhem. Poles visiting Holland should go to see the Polish Paratroopers graves that are in the British Airborne Cemetery at Oosterbeek. It will break your Polish heart. Made me very sad. Hail the Poles. Brave bastards. Tough men.... Men of Valor. Never forget the Poles.
@maggiethefox The polish paratroopers were the only ones who,ve been dropped at the right spot during operation MARKET GARDEN.
They could make the contact with the other side of the bridgehead...as they were sitting in the line of fire!!!
Sir Winston Churchill called the operation a succes, (A..Hole) everyone knows what happend that day...but the brave Polish brigade was forgotten.? why?.Dont make excusses to me.. i know that Polish people are simple in their yes and no and go til the end!
Polish soldiers was the best in WW2. Did someone know about Battle of Wizna if not there 720 polish soldiers was fighting with 42000 german soldiers+cannons+airforce FOR 3 DAYS.
Westerplatte 1939, 200 Polish soldiers, for 7 days fought in the face of an overwhelming force of 3,400 German Wehrmacht, battleship Schleswig-Holstein and Stuka bombers...

Odrodzono armię i na pewno fakt ten skrócił wojnę o kilka lat w myśleniu ogólnym (udział polskich wojsk w wyzwalaniu europy i świata)
Pozdrawiam

Im grateful to express my thanks to Poles for
their gallantry in WWII...
Britain was pushed aside at Yalta
and bad policy left us unprepared for the World war we should have been much better equipped to face.
Know that the sacrifice of Poles was taught in our
schools and moved me deeply. Know that your people settled here during the war,
and that your wargraves and communites are thriving and respected by
ordinary people here. 68 years on we salute our brothers in arms. An Englishman.
