  • hope logan had a cup on

  • @1:25 - Classic facial expression.

  • WOODcOcK?!?!?!

  • that actually made me laugh

  • "There's only one way to pitch to the Babe,"

said Howell and I'll quote 'im.

"You wait until he digs in good,

then fire one at his scrotum."

  • Yur gay get a life

  • Paul Newman.

    Whatta Boss

  • I was really routin for ya butch why thank u flat nose XD

  • That's the best way there is to win a fight. Get the other guy off guard then kick him in the balls as hard as you can. Works every time LOL.

  • 1:19 lol ouch XDDD

  • I love how when he's talking to Harvey he sounds like a pussy, but then he talks to his boy and you realize just how REAL and DANGEROUS your boy Butch is.

  • This cat hit him so hard HE FELL!!!

  • THIS is what best friends are all about. He yins, you yang. He zigs, you zags. He takes a shot, you pound yours and tell him to man up. Simply put, when friends get together, this should be their film. Newman and Reford wrote the book on chemistry, and very few actors have been allowed to add to it.

  • Dr leonard -in fact Ted Cassidy who played Harvey , also played Lurch from the Adams Family and was in fact 6'9" - oh shit I just checked - scientologist - not tall? and you who believe that we arrived here in a giant clam shell - fuck Ron Hubbard - but visit me at peckerwoodsmith at you tube

  • @PeckerwoodSmith Why did you bring Scientology in to this?

  • Lol I'm a direct descendant of Flatnose

  • Did all these guys really existed ?

  • @essertpitay where do you live, on Mars? Of course they existed! Butc cassidy and Sundance kid was 2 very famous gangsters!

p.s. the very tall guy who's knocked down buy paul Newman was LURCH on the ADDAMS FAMILY!!!

  • @alessandromagno76 They weren't gangsters...they were outlaws. There is a difference.

  • @dahoss65 you're right, I apologize...

  • @essertpitay

You didn't know? This film is all based on real events. I don't think Harvey "Kid Curry" Logan was that tall though.

  • @DrLeonardBonesMcCoy He wasn't that tall. Just Hollywood throwing in their 2 cents lol.

  • Flat nose was shot in the Moab area C. 1905, roughly

  • @IExposeMormonism

.....and harvey was kicked roughly in the honeymoon area by the look of it.

  • @norristerse hahaha

  • Love this movie, this scene in particular!

  • It's a great movie. But Butch and Sundance weren't the original wildbunch

  • My favorite scene :) A pure myth, of course; Butch Cassidy would never have gone up against Harvey Logan, one of the West's most vicious killers. And the famous Ft. Worth photo shows the close relationship Butch and Logan actually had (with Logan's hand almost tenderly resting on Cassidy's shoulder--an unheard of thing in Victorian photos). They clearly were very close friends. But the scene and movie are wonderful.

  • now thats how you do it....straight to the nuts PAUL NEWMAN IS THE MAN

  • 1.2.3 GO!!

  • i read that when ted was asked to sign a poster of this character he wrote over the crotch lol

  • Haha, that was the best fight ever!

  • so perfect

  • best Western ever in my Opinion, because it was so multidimensional, in personality, music, etc.

  • Ted Cassidy lost a fight against Paul Newman, but he still had the greatest voice in cinematic history.

  • Lurch!! love that guy

  • 1...2...3...GO!! Haha!!

  • @JuanMacready I hope you die of testical cancer you worthless, spectating bag of shit.

  • @OffspringFTW65 I thought your comment was harsh and distasteful at first but seeing what it was a reply too, I now full heartedly agree.

  • I would pay a billion dollars for a butch cassidy DLC on red dead redemption.

  • 1:05 look at that smile! XD

Paul Newman... and Robert Redford... incredible! I loved them in The Sting and I loved them in this movie!

  • I was really rootin' for ya Butch!

  • When I saw this scene in a countdown show a few years ago, I literally fell down laughing...

  • Well if there aint gonna be any rules lets get this fight started.

  • The scene where Newman and Katherine Ross get on a bike and BJ Thomas's beautiful song plays in the background just made me cry. Raindrops Keep Fallin On My Head is a beautiful song that encapsulates the innocence of the 60s. I had tears in my eyes and just had to jerk off to Katherine. I love this movie so much.

  • whats this song called?

  • As ever with YT we seem to be drifting a little from the original subject ,but i loved the clip, great post.(sorry to be boring)

  • Bromance

Cuz there's always a way to make a lil money off whoopin the big guys ass

  • How to win a fist fight 101

  • paul newman kickin lurches ass ahahaha

  • Boy I got vision where he rest of the world's wearin' byfocals!

  • I can't believe that the guy who played Harvey is actually The Lurch (You Rang?) from "The Adam's Family".

  • Yeah, he sure was a good one, and he at least had a nice enough manner of speaking, and another thing which went in Theodore Crawford Cassidy's favour, is that he did not swear!

  • awesome!

  • HELL YES

  • haha i love that scene!

  • they dont make them like they used to

  • JuanMacready you need some love, to make up for the attention you missed out on from Mummy and Daddy when you where a wee baby.

    Classic film.

  • @darthhix JuanMacready is a little 15 year old child that has access to the internet. Unfortunately, he can legally make comments such as the "crap movie" one. I read on his Channel and he apparently thought John Lennon's death was funny too. Perhaps he will grow up, perhaps not, but nothing can be done. Anyway, you are correct, Classic film in all ways imaginable, won 4 Oscars, nominated for 7. One of the best ever. Danke.

  • @JuanMacready I think you need to die a horrible jigsaw death.

  • @dbzfan66 he really does i think the one with the needles

  • @JuanMacready the fuck is wrong with you are you actually disabled

  • WILL YOU STOP YOUR DAMNED SWEARING? UT'S SO NOT NECESSARY, AND WHY THE HELL DON'T YOU JERKS WHO DO SWEAR, GET YOURSELVES AN EDUCATION?!

  • @bagpuss211 i swore once calm down

  • @JuanMacready You haven't killed yourself yet?

  • @jsnody317 Nope, but the bisexual commie Newman killed himself.

  • @JuanMacready You should just off yourself

  • @jsnody317 I'm glad Newman died of lung cancer.

  • @JuanMacready You're just too good for this world

  • @JuanMacready you need to chill out

  • @JuanMacready You're like Harvey in this movie clip. You just need a good swift kick in the balls.

  • @JuanMacready Thankfully the old english fuck Oliver Cromwell got an infection in his kidneys.

  • @jsnody317 Yeah but at least he carried out genocide in Ireland and Scotland first. Newman was just a bad actor who copied Marlon Brando in everything.

  • @JuanMacready if he wanted to be like Brando he would have eaten himself to death instead of getting lung cancer. I'm glad Cromwell died of a urinary infection because he is your hero.

  • @JuanMacready Wow, you are a nutter.

  • @JuanMacready At least Newman died and had friends who cared about him. I'm sure that's more than anybody will be able to say about you.

  • @jsnody317 At least he died.

  • @JuanMacready Yes, everybody dies. Newman was loved by many. You just suck fat dicks.

  • @JuanMacready you suck fat dicks

  • @JuanMacready

You are a very sad man.

  • Butch Cassidy and the sundance murloc.

  • Paul Newman.

    gah.

    <3

  • God Bless Paul Newman.....they simply do not make them likehim anymore.

  • Boy I got vision and the rest of the world's wearin' bifocals! R.I.P Teddy!

  • @bagpuss211 man!....i was gonna say that you beat me to it

  • How painful for poor Lurch, I'd have so loved to se him clovver Paul Newman, not that I@msaying that Paul should have kicked Theodore where he did, he'd have been beter of giving him a tickling, or a cuff round t'ear! Rest In Peace Dear Theodore!

  • Boy I got vision where the rest of the world's wearin' bifocals!

  • Cracking good film, Best I've seen yet: R.I.P Theodore!

  • Man! RIGHT DEAD IN THE CLACKERS...!!!!!!!

  • RIGHT IN THE CLACKERS..!!!!

  • hehehe

  • I love sundance at 1:05..haha..this movie is one of the best.

  • I would appreciate folks not swearing on the web, it's not worth it, given i shall continue to report you!

  • Great new book (Did these stories really happen?), at amazon, has in depth info on what finally became of the real Butch and Sundance!

  • gold.

  • lurch? in a western? Too good! R.I.P Theodore, long may your soul survive, you bonny lad!

  • 1 - 2 - 3 GO!

  • Ted was absolutely terrific in this clip, shame he's sadly no longer here to hear that being said of him, RIP Theodore!

  • well thank you flat nose...

thats what sustained me in my time of trouble

    love it

  • is this movie worth 2 buy?

  • ABSOLUTELY! It's a classic, hilarious, heartwarming... one of my personal favorites. You can't go wrong with Paul Newman, and he's great with Robert Redford in this movie. If you like this, you should watch "The Sting" too!

  • Buy it, i t is a great movie. And as info, this is the first movie I took my wife to 40 years ago, when we first started dating. This scene was hilarious back in the day.

  • @cpguitars1 back in the day? It's still hilarious! You guys have good taste in movies.

  • CLASSIC movie !!! Thank you for posting this !

  • They don't make them like this anymore. Eastwood is the last man standing.

  • Absolutely jaw dropping seeing the gorgeous Theodore Cfrawford Cassidy getting knocked about, I say, I felt sorry for him! Rest in peace Theodore!

  • fuck off with your fucking advertising

  • One of the best scenes ever!!!!!!

  • Jaw dropping, given my hero got knocked the stufing out of, but that's just ithway it is! RIP Theodore!

  • i love this. Butch is the man

  • Lurch in a classic Western. Priceless.

  • "I don't know if anyone who never saw the movie in a theatre can appreciate

the reaction the kick-in-the-balls moment got. There was this huge gasp,

followed by the enormous laugh of relief and surprise. Especially, I think,

    surprise.

Western heroes didn't fight sneaky. Gary Cooper would have turned in his

badge before he stooped to such a thing. Can you imagine Randolph Scott

    doing it? Or Gene Autry?"

(William Goldman, "Adventures in the Screen Trade")

  • Votapardo, I saw it at the movies when I was about 17 years old. Not knowing anything about it. When it started in black and white and very boring I almost left. But when it got started I said shit this is good. When it was over I said the best I ever have seen. Then come the sting. Two great movies by two great actors, they don't make them like that any more.

  • @Votapardo It's true what you say..Hoppy, Gene, Roy, would've frowned on doing such a thing, let alone, seeing that in any of their movies, and I still love them..But, this is the real world, baby..! I'd just been awarded my brown belt when I saw this film..First of all, look how big ol' Harvey is; and, that knife! In a real fight, there ain't no rules, and Paul Newman was not a big guy; I'm at least 6'1, and I say nail 'im good..!!! Right dead in the clackers..!!!

  • I just watched this movie last week. No doubt one of the best scenes in any movie ever made!

"Rules?!?! In a knife fight?!?! No rules!!"

What a great line and Newman's response and actions even better!

One of the top ten movies ever made!

Newman and Redford were great in it!

  • @chops333333 It's like, "There's no crying in baseball..!" Funny as hell! I'm 6'1, and I'd still kick that cat in the nuts! And, did you see that knife..? In a real fight, I'd get a friggin' bat..!

  • Harvey should have been the leader--he was the smartest one--who else would have thought of blocking Butch's kick with his balls? Pure Genius!!

  • AWESOME!

  • epic figh !!

  • "That's what sustained me in my time of trouble." Haha. One of the best movie lines ever (this film is full of them), and it's funny every single time I see it.

  • I love that you insulted this in three different ways, but still watched the clip :-)

  • Anyone who talks like you is not in the right. No intelligence in the things you say.

  • dirty fightin, dirty boys, butch cassidy + the sundance kid FTW!!!!!

    awesome bromance flick.

  • Harvey Logan is a distant ancestor of mine actually, on my father's side. He was my great great grandmother's cousin in law or something.

Sort of an idiot in this movie though.

  • wasnt really a fight just an ass kicking!

  • i love when Redford waves and smiles, it's unfair to put so much handsomeness in one film

  • They don't get any cooler then Paul Newman!

    I miss him already.

  • @PoutinePete me too :[

but he left behind quite a legacy. you cant say he didnt do great things :)

  • what we got here is a failue to .....

  • communicate, perhaps?

  • "maybe there's a way we can make some money off of this--bet on Logan"

"I would, but who'd bet on you?"

Still the best buddy film--often imitated, never duplicated. It's a shame they only did two films together--they tried to work together again in the early 2000's but couldn't find the right script.

    Redford has never been better.

  • I guess that's the last time Harvey ever popped off.

  • LURCH!

  • I love the way Harvey blocked Butch's kick!! Great scene!!

  • I just realised that Harvey is Lurch from the original Addams Family :-D

  • PWNED

  • 1 2 3 go

  • i was really rutting for you butch!!! to hetch with laffirs!!!

  • love to!! the look and wave!!! can't beat it!!!

  • 1-2-3 Go!

  • that made me laugh. I loved the movie... great script

  • differant class

  • love that scene, it just always makes me laugh :)

    Butch, ya fox :P

  • Look carefully when Logan says "Sundance, when we're done and

he's dead you can stay....." the guy on

    Logan's left is moving.

  • the guys behind logan are fake. im lookin at em and they aint moving at all!

  • butch was nails

  • Cheap shot, that Butch wouldn't had him in fair physical combat, but that's what separates a brilliant criminal mind from a simple burglar.

  • "RULES?!? IN A KNIFE FIGHT?!

Cracks me up every time =)

  • neither?

  • I am reladed to Butch Cassidy!!

  • im currently reading the script and the action line for this scene goes like dis

"As he finishes speaking Butch delivers the most aesthetically exquisite kick in the balls in the history of the modern American cinema"

  • epic hahaha.

  • Instant classic

  • that was fantastic!!!

  • haaaaaa that's funny lol nice trick

  • chep shots the whole nine yards

    but a great movie

  • 1:26

    HEADSHOT!

  • "Well, since there's no rules lets get this thing started. Someone count one, two, three go." CLASSIC BRAINS

  • LOL! That was the shortest fight ever! XD

  • 1:11 best moment of all

  • One of the funniest scenes in the whole movie, along with them jumping off the cliff to the river.

  • "Rules?! In a knife fight? No rules!"

    [gets kicked in the balls]

"Well, there ain't gonna be any rules. Let's get the fight started. Someone count 1, 2, 3, go."

    "1 2 3 GO!!"

    [KO]

    Awesome scene.

  • Just goes to show how important (not) it is to know the rules.

  • RIP Paul Newman, a fine actor.

  • Isnt that "lurch' from 'The Adams Family"?

  • Redford's smile after he says "love to" is my favorite thing in the movie! Cracks me up everytime!

  • Ahhh a little funny does the world good. :)

  • That was honestly the best fight ever!! hahahaha!!!

  • Kicked his ass.
