  • 6:56 it says us air force on the door

  • uh genius...oshkosh is one word.

  • Where is the exhaust?

  • The p-15 I drove was on Andersen afb Guam. I was there from 79-81. We thought we had gotten the Rolls Royces of trucks when this showed up. They had to build a whole new addition to the station just so it could fit somewhere. I had great times riding on top and driving to calls.

  • I believe it is 5 or 6 K gallons of water. I don't recall exactly.

  • @krubackfamily 6,100 gallons of water, 515 of AFFF. Each water turret cranked out 1,200 gpm. This thing was a beast to drive, You had to crank hard on the steering wheel to get that front bogey to turn, even with the power steering. It took a while to get it going, and more to haul it to a stop. I was a rookie at out station, so I usually rode the back turret. Now THAT was COOL! Great vid, thanks for posting!

  • This is in Hawaii isn't it? Thats an Oshkosh P-15. I bet this one is, or was, stationed at Hickam Air Force Base. What a wonderful truck. Thank you for posting this video.

  • They sound sweet with their twin detroit diesels

  • Oh and also. Do you have a video of the inside of the cab by any chance? Thx! :)

  • Now thats a HUGE truck! I wonder how much water it can carry?
