im doing this in my school, im playing Arles, but my director is completely destroying the comedic aspect of it. She said no southern accents, and Arles and Thurston have been transformed from these lackadaisical news reporters into serious uptight assholes like you'd see on fox news or something... watching this clip i've laughed nonstop but in our production of it i haven't found one thing to laugh at...

I saw this play a zillion years ago! Genius! A young actor friend of mine insisted that we see it. It has GOT to come back again - wonderful theater magic, you simply forget that you're not looking into a small town's personal life!
dude omg we are doing this for are middle school drama show this is so funny i thopught i wouldn't make it last year but we did it so good everybody asked us to do it again the best show ever.
I perform the day after tomorrow as Arles. Wish me luck?

@Shishpanik The phrase you look for isn't in the play itself, it is in the Television commercial advertising the show being in your local vacinity
