Thanks for posting this clip. What a jolly happy tune. Its nice to hear what Gertie Millar sounds like. One can quite understand why she was so popular at that time listening to this song. Gertie Millar was born in 1879 and would have been about 36 at the time of this recording. A great actress and singer of that era.

To take a bus from Chalk Farm to Camberwell Green nowadays, you would be lucky to make it under an hour and most of the time you would be stuck in traffic. Gertie is lovely, isn't she? She ended up as the Countess of Dudley, and her country house in Worcestershire in now a romantic ruin.
