  • Thank you soooo much for this video..Aspiring MUA trying to build my kit and this video HELPED!!..Going to MAC now..Thanks again

  • Great vid!! Your pictures are soo beautiful!! Are you a model? In the last picture with the format blush what's the lipstick you're wearing, it's gorgeous!!!!!

  • Also try Warm Soul, Dollymix, n Sweet As Cocoa... They are some of my go-to colors for med to deep skin tones. They are some of my favs! I do makeup as well. I'm NC42 I wear Margin as a blush, never thought abt using it for a highlght for deeper skintones.. Great suggestion!

  • How long agao did you buy the 'devil' blush, because I went to a Mac counter and they didn't have it. They hadn't even heard of it.

  • @originalivy tht's probably because you went to a counter. this product is offered at MAC pro STORES only, you have to find a location that is a MAC Pro store

  • @originalivy I don't know if you've gotten your hands on the devil blush, but if not you can call MAC and order it.

  • LOVE that you show the blushes on your cheeks. That is helpful :)

  • So do your think that nc45 or jus women of color in general.. Would that contour color be better than blunt?

  • I agree...could you do a detailed tutorial on how to apply...I'm struggling also!

  • so refreshing to have a guru speak about cosmetics for anything other than pale skin and you're so well spoken -- nice job!

  • I have a problem when it comes to blush .. My problem is with applying it .. can you do a tutorial. or can you give me some tips .. im a beginner .. thx ..

  • I love the fact that you explain so well what you use and how you use the products...absolutely gorgeous!

  • i love amberring rose it was my 1st blush also....

  • Thanks for explaining the different ways to use the MSF!

  • Thanks so much for this video....now what would it take to get you to do my makeup and teach me how to apply eyeshadow? Like seriously, send me a message.

  • You're just beautiful! :D

  • Hey thanks for the great color selection ;) Question do you happen to know where i can find "devil" at? I'm mesmerized with that color now.....

  • Where are ur ads? Are u still a partner? Youtube must really be tripping bcuz some of my fave gurus seem 2 suddenly not be partners anymore while people who shall not be named, who give fake sponsored reviews and false critiques still have their partnerships! Makes me so mad! Anyways I love this vid as usual! I need to finally get Devil blush & Shadowy 2 contour. Shadowy's actually is on the MAC site which makes me so happy since they discontinued the foundation stick u previously talked about.

  • What is the name of the gold eyeliner that you use at 8min40 excuse i'm french and i don't listen to english well

  • uggghhh you are sooo pretty!!!

  • the sincere blush can darker women use it as highlight maybe since its so light?

  • WOW that first pic blew me away!!

  • you need to stop it now

  • Your photos are so gorgeous!!!!

  • Thanks for the review! Can you do a video review on all your MSF's, i've been buying them from blog sales at the Mac Community on Live Journal, i'm still in on the lookout for Stereo Rose and Petticoat so if you see anyone selling them please let me know!

  • This video is great! I love blush so much and it's nice to see a video showing women of various skintones how to wear it. I'm an NC50 and I also love MAC Goddess (it was a limited edition but if you can find it it's amazing!).

  • @CreoleBabyBritt I'm gonna check out MAC Goddess!

  • Hi Jackie, great video!! Question: Are you going to Imats this year again? I met and took pics w/ you and would love to see you again! xoxo

  • Hi Jackie, I'm NC50. what do you recommend for a contour color?

  • OMG, Ambering Rose is my everyday color..love it!!!

  • its soooo true like you are so much happier. i love this you.

  • I Love your videos!!!

  • Great list. I would add Gingerly & Peaches. For reference I'm NC45

  • @AlejandraPrincess I'm NC50. I just got Gingerly and I LOVE! I totally agree with this.

  • i love ambering rose!! love love love!

  • all the colors are gorgeous and I love that u put photos so we can ssee thnx :)

  • jackie honey you should do a makeup class fr blending colors. come to nyc i will the first person in line. you will help lots of people and i know tht you will get lots of support

  • I dont think devil is avilable anymore?

  • is there a tutorial for the blue eyes on your photo for the coppertone blush?? that was just gorgeous!

  • Thank you for this useful video:)

I'm intrigued by Pink Swoon I'm NC50 have you another video with that blush?

  • what foudation color are you?

  • What lipstick is that you are wearing on the pic before u view the tut

  • your favorites always become my favorites!.....Can you please do lipliner next??

  • I am terrified of blush. I own 3 but only wear Hushabye (sheertone mauve colored) but its discontinued. As for Comfort, love it...i wear it everyday and get so many compliments on my makeup. Thank you for this vid...i am looking forward to stepping outside of my box!

  • I bought a mac shimmer blush called peachtwist, it looks alot like comfort on camera. Until now I hated it as a blush, but it looks like I am supposed to be using it as a cheekbone highlighter. If you can't get comfort you may want to try peachtwist

  • how did you get your lower eye lashes looking soo long???

  • @kenoras they are naturally like that, I just wear mascara.

  • Great video. Some other great colors are Notable (LE) & Desert Rose for woc.

  • sooo helpful thank you!!!

**what were you wearing on your lips in the pic with the Format blush?

  • @KofiClrVXN you're welcome! it was probably Vegas Volt lipstick

  • this video was very helpful, cuz i find that the orange blush doesn't do much for me at night. i guess i could add a little more at night, but then again i don't wanna end up looking like a clown. so i'm gonna try out the ambering rose and or raizin blush. thanx very much for this!!!

  • I'm shade C6 in Studio Fix... Where do I fall in the Medium -Dark scale?

  • @lilpumpkinpie, thanks for responding to my post. Yes, I will enjoy the blush.

  • You are so creative and beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

  • i really liked that you showed your favorite blushes for all complexions, since im NW18 and watch you, really appreciate it!

  • I love sweet as cocoa, is there a matte version of it

  • format is actually my only blush lol, i got it when u said it in another vid! great vid though! i was looking for a orange blush so i will def be trying out devil and coppertone, most orange blushes show up pink on me for some reason, but since we are the same complexion i will check those out!

  • haha i luv the way u say jackie-o

  • Hey hun, you dont wear any of the mineralize blushes like gleeful, or lovejoy. Girl i love those on clients of your complexion. also did you like any of the highlighters from the champale collection or any blush duos from the too fab collection in 2009?

  • @VirgoVixxin lol I hate mineralized blushes, lol especially because I have oily skin. I already get enough of that highlighting effect by using cheekbone highlighters, I find the mineralized blushes are just too much sparkle for me

  • In the 'Sugarpill Teal and Purple' and the 'Birds of a Feather' video are you wearing the Face Atelier foundation?

  • great video!!! it was perfect!

  • Would ambering rose suit lighter complexions? say NC 25-30?

  • @Bowiegirl75 if used sparingly it might

  • Omg every time I look at your vids I always end up at MAC at the weekend lol

Thanks so much this vid was very helpful I have been looking for a bronzer but MAC bronzers are to light for my complexion (nc45) but format blush is absolutely splended darling! That pink swoon is also on my list smashing vid lol

  • ohh i was waiting for a good video for blushes for women of colour thank you!

  • thanks for doin this vid waited patiently for this

  • I'm surprised you didn't mention Dollymix, Warmsoul and Sweet As Cocoa. They are great for women of color. I will be trying Ambering Rose(sp?) and Pink Swoon. I will also keep my out for Candlelight. Thank you as always.

  • @Divalawgirl they are all nice but not amongst my favorites

  • lol that was mine too =) *ditto moment* I <3 my ambering rose and blunt!! =)

  • I like how u explained what highlights& blushes go w/ other colors!!! I have tons of blushes& use the same blush& highlight everyday b/c Idk what blushes go w/ certain looks! Thanks a bunch for sharing!!

  • Thank you.... thank you..... thank you....!!

  • great vid...love ur energy in your recent vids :)

  • That raizin and format blush are pretty! I'm most def getting those...

  • Great info!!!

  • I am a bit darker than you. NW 50. I own raizin and i love it. but would you say that your mentioned blushes in this video would work for me as well? I know you said "a few s hades darker than me" but does that include women that are like nw 50 or even 55? Also, do you think the shadowly contour would work? and LASTLY how do i email you. do i have to be friends with you first???? thanks

  • @ladieesc0 well I'm NW45 lol so yes, you're considered a few shades darker than me, if Shadowy isn't dark enough for a contour you can add a teeny bit of Carbon to your brush (or any matte black eyeshadow) and contour, sometimes I do that on myself for a little added definition!

  • great video!!! :] i love when you use mac products too! makes it much easier for us to find.

  • @cosmolovee some people prefer I use MAC, and some people don't lol I can't please everyone so I just use what I have and what works for me and my clientele

  • love you videos!! quick question what is the name of the palettes that you store you eyeshadow tin pans and blush tins? And where do I get them?

  • @MIKA8703 they are MAC palettes, I just removed the dividers

  • Great Colors! I love them all :-)

  • Great faves!!

  • i luv blush videos.u give great advice,thanks!

  • The shadows that u have on look amazing and I'm in need of a good neutral everyday shadow that I can wear to work. Please do you remember what's on your lids??

  • Thanks for sharing.:-)

  • this is such a helpful video... my 1st ever blush from mac is raizin and i havent had the confidence to get a different shade b/c im afraid it ont look good on my skin tone...xx

  • Hi! Helpful video, thanks. I hv a question. I've been on the search forever for a straight-up mauvey purpley blush with absolutely no hint of red. Any recommendations? (Similar to the one u had on in the 'by candlelight' pic) I'm darkskinned NW45 (studio fix powder). Thanks. Ps: did u try Tea Petal cremeblend blush? Its a good one too, I think. Stay blessed.

  • Nice Video!

  • ambering rose is the first blush i bought and i love it

  • I am an NC 40 and Ambering Rose looks good on me. I just have to use a light hand.Shadowy work well as a contour colour for me. I like the fact that it has no glitter in it. Margin works on me too. I really want to get Devil. It looks awesome. Pink Swoon works with my Lady Gaga lipstick. I also have Sincere and it looks alright on me, not a favourite. Comfort MSF works well as a blush for me and so does By Candlelight as a cheek h/l. Thanks for your recommendations.

  • Ok, so when i went to a make-up school/class I was given a MAC kit that included Pink Swoon blush. I would use it on the fair skinned girls in class. That was 2 Years ago and since then I had not touched it thinking the color was not for me. Thanks to your vid I just picked it up and put it on my cheek, and HOLY HELL. It looks beautiful on me! I'm an NC 50 for reference

  • OMG the freeze frame in the video at 2:43, do you have a video for that? The look is so simple yet so sultry and definately a going out look. Please please do a tutorial on that look if there isn't one already!

  • am definately gonna get for some of da blushes thnx for dis vid

  • I'm a NW43,45 and the MAC associate recommended format. It was really pretty when she applied it in store, but when I used it at home, it looked kinda orangey-red to me. I wonder what happened cuz I'm scared to wear it now.

  • I was so lucky to get mac comfort in a blog sale $15 was so happy. It highlight my nw5o skin like no other!!

  • MAC blushes suck!!! The color pay off is aweful. NARS is definitely a better brand, the colors are more complimentary to women of color. All of that crap doesn't apply well, and there's entirely too much shine/ shimmer. I was NW45 in MAC, when I wore it. If it works for you great, but it's definitely not the ' go to' brand.

  • @latensa1 I concur I only like blunt for contouring

  • @latensa1 wow, I wouldn't say all that lmao every brand is good for different things, when I'm doing my look on a client I honestly don't need the blush to pop out and scream at me, a nice flush of color is what I'm looking for so that it doesn't clash with the eyes, lips, and rest of the face. I'm more than happy with my selection of MAC blushes :) I have a NARS blush and I like it, but it doesn't scream at me OMG THESE ARE AMAZING, it's just another blush to me lol

  • Always love ur clips gal but the difference in your effects of contouring pic n ur current cam n lighting were a huge difference. Love that pic! Lighting was fab! Thanx JackieO!

  • Thanks for the info.....I love all those colors.....love your make up 2!

  • Girl, you could smear dirt on your cheeks and still be gorgeous, but your blush recommendations were very helpful! I'm an Ambering Rose freak myself and I'm addicted to Pinch Me and Peachtwist.

  • This is off the subject, but i really like the colors in your room.

  • Why u only use Mac? Just curious...

  • @pabritova because they have a pro program, more bang for my buck

  • @lilpumpkinpie05 MUFE has a pro program too babes

  • @3menandalittlelady yes they do which I currently have an account with, but they're still on the pricier side! whether some people like it or not most of MAC's staple products like their foundations and shadows still work amazingly well in photoshoots

  • @lilpumpkinpie05 oh nice i envy u then lol

  • 2:47 that picture of u is so freakin beautiful

  • Plz plz do a video on what it's in your kit? If it's long it's better

  • Is devil blush still available to buy at the Mac pro store? :/ I want it lol

  • @lareyna2107 yes it is!!!

  • Awesome video..I am a MAC pro artist and agree with all your picks. What was the name of the countouring blush that's only avail at the Pro Stores? what are your thoughts on Style Demon(MSF) and Blunt...just curious.

  • Thanks for doing this video!

  • have yoy ever tried la femme blushes? they are fab!!

  • @tnstylz37 yes I do, I use them in my kit :)

  • Great video!! I love ambering rose, sweet as cocoa was my very 1st blush! I think I'm gonna have to pick up a few of your favs!

  • i am a nc50 and hunny i love format and ambering rose i also love dirty plum

  • Simply gorgeous.

  • thank you so much for doing this video! I've been waiting for it ;)

  • My fav MAC blush is Peachtwist...I love it!

  • may you do a tutorial on putting on lashes please!

  • Thanks so much! This has been very helpful :) I am just getting started on YouTube please take a look and give me ant advice you can. I really respect your thoughts!

  • Girl you gettin it! You are so pretty and your channel is awesome!!!!

  • OMG I love the second photo (with you in the blue)! What is that on your lips?

  • wow! i just picked up format today! thought id try it out as my everyday blush for this spring/summer....it looks awesome and i'm glad u made this video, makes me feel like i made a good decision on going with that.

  • i'm olive to tan and i've been rocking coppertone for years! definitely a favorite of mine.

  • wow!! I love all of these blushes!

  • I have never seen devil before but I fell in love. I will be going to the mac pro store to get it when I go and buy items from the new cute collection. I really want to try that lavender lipstick

  • Yay I have all your favs for women of color, I feel good about my blush choices lol

  • I am a NC45 in MAC products, can I swear Sincere? Or do you think Coppertone would be a better natural everyday look?

  • @mrscdmackey I am nc45 and I love coppertone!

  • @sweeteababy0427 _ok thanks I will try that one

  • @mrscdmackey at NC45 you're about a hint lighter than me so you can definitely wear Coppertone

  • @mrscdmackey im a NC44 -NC45 and i have coppertone , its a everyday blush , looks fab on our complexion , Go get it !

  • you are soo pretty and i lover how arched ur eyebrows are...most eyebrow specialist cant ever get my high point correct

  • Ambering Rose was my first and last mac blush...I prefer NARS's Taj Mahal....but I will definitely give some of these MAC colors a try thanks for posting!

  • I LOVE your favorites videos. It makes approaching the MAC counter easier :)

  • What are you wearing on your eyes?

  • format blush looks awesome

  • how long do mac blushes last? how long should you keep them

  • @smsgrl5 powder products don'd breed bacteria as quickly as liquid, so if you manage to keep them up to a year they should be fine

  • I remember when Format was eyeshadow. Its my first blush/eyeshadow combo.

  • I really hope they bring back the Warm and Cozy collection, I use my Mulled Cider eyeshadow very sparingly, wish I would have bought two

  • Thanks so much for showing the product on the skin. Can you review the cream blush as well?

  • What type of highlight do you recommend that is in stores for darker skin women... PLEASE REPLY!!!

  • @mscocodimples you can always highlight with a concealer that's one to two shades lighter than you, it will definitely be very natural looking and will photograph amazingly. apply with a makeup sponge

  • I like Love Rush by MAC also, I have to try other colors as well. I just bought Lokoum by NARS it's a cream blush, love the color. @4colouredbeauties, she has a couple of eyebrow tutorials

  • I feel bad for asking, but do you know of any good blushes for people that are too pale for Sincere? :'[ I have a sun allergy, so I never tan... I've been to multiple MAC counters, and they always recommend Sincere or Blushbaby, and both shades honestly just make my face look dirty. (Blushbaby = way paler than Sincere, and it seriously looks like someone messed up contouring my face when I wear it.)

Is the problem that I keep getting beige-toned colors? I noticed both are beige/something...

  • @cloudswirls have you tried Peachtwist? I think it's a beautiful peach flush of color for fair complexions, remember it's not always the blush itself but the way it's applied, use a very light hand, don't feel bad for asking either!!! please let me know how it works out :) then there's always Peaches blush. it's basically the matte version of Peachtwist, but it's the same idea. I don't know what your undertones are but they def won't look dirty on the skin and should warm ya up

  • you are so beautiful!! you could be a model..

  • @pingirl32 aw lol thank you sweetie

  • Love Ambering Rose. Love the gold glow it gives. Don't need a highlight. Thanks for the video.

  • Raizin was my first MAC blush. Special place in my heart.Great video. Nice list to hand over to the nearest MAC worker

  • Devil looks like a must have

  • @KellyJelly9976 it most definitely is, you can also use eyeshadows as blushes :) Rule eyeshadow is another one of my favorites to use

  • Your eyebrows are always on point! Do you already have a tutorial video? If so can you direct me to it, thanks! btw love your videos!

  • Thanks for sharing...Ambering was the very 1st MAC item and blush I ever purchased...not I gotta so out and get Devil and Raizan =}

  • love your make up! The blushes are hawt gotta get Ambering Rose!

  • Ambering Rose was the 1st blush I EVER hit pan on! Love it!!!
