WTF are you talking about? Fraps is a screen recording program. It records what is on the screen. FPS means frames per second. The higher that number the smoother gameplay is. And no you cannot use fraps to change fps. Thats up to your hardware.

Crysis isn't a CPU limited game, but GPU (graphics card processor etc) limited game, with the worst quad core or some nice core 2 duo's with a very good graphic's card can ofcourse run crysis, and some other games run very smooth, because they ask alot from your graphics card, GTA 4 uses less from your graphics, but more from your CPU, the whole fucking city is alive, then like just some NPC's doing they routine on Crysis, wich doesn't ask much, you need a quad of 3,5Ghz or more to run it nice

How did you got your CPU that high on a 680i , did you changed your bios??I'm oced mine to 3.0 and it wasn't stable

I set FSB to 1600mhz, set vcore to 1.51. Then set ssp, and mcp volts to max. Also disable any power saving options(e.g speed step). I had to down clock my ram to 667mhz for it to be stable.

Not at all. I've been running this BFG 8800GT OC at 700/1700/1000 with 1.2V custom BIOS for over a year. But good point I bet my video memory gets a good workout during this! I know my gpu and cpu do, as they run around 55C for the cpu and 80C for the gpu.

I used the commandline file, so I can set things above what video memory I have. I believe my quad at 3.6Ghz helps. As GTA4 seems like a cpu hog.

No. I'm not using anything to accelerate it. I'm suprised it played that well! I don't understand these problems everyone is having with this game. My PC plays it perfect. When I turn a few things down I get 40FPS average.
