did you experience overheating problem? mine overheats. i tried running about 3 mins and it actually melts the plastic cap where my ss connector is tapped. im afraid it would even melt the wire when prolonged. any suggestions to prevent heating will be highly appreciated. thanks
@rbeenlio I suggest you DO NOT use plastic coated wires ... instead use a ridged / Stiff Stainless steel wire to connect your cell inside your main chamber this way if there is any melting the chances of your wires coming into contact with each other (causing a SPARK) is minimal 2 wire touch inside you main chamber > SPARK > IGNITION > YOUR DEAD! Don't use soft wire in your main chamber if you are having heat issues OR EVER for that matter ! what is your running stats Volt / Amps / Temp ?
this setup seems to produce the most HHO with the least amps my research has found. Stan Meyer were catching up to you. haha Although it will be a while. Going to Hardware store and tinker with other setups. Its a great hobby although big oil frowns on it ahahaha
@TTUMIT hey man can you tel me what's wrong i got some of thos pats from lowes and made one just like you did and add some good amound of baking soda no gas is coming out only steam?
if you hit it with 2v-3v and BIG amps, it will produce very well and not get real hot. however, if you hit it with 12v even at low amps, you will find it makes more steam than gas.
your 1/4 inch plate gap will work quite well. some will tell you that you have to get it down to 1/8 inch or less. not really the case. you will just have to use a fairly stong electrolyte to get a good reaction is all.
all screws/bolts/washers must be stainless. if its in the soup, it must be stainless.
This was the easiest plate cell design i have ever seen and it looks to be working the best.

great video man but I have a few questions
1. how do you determine which side is positive and which one is negative
2. why don't you have any neutral plates (are they not needed)
3. suppose you wanted to make a 6 or 10 plate system, would you just follow the same pattern or would you have to add anything?

3. if you wanted to make a more than 4 plate system could you continue to use the same pattern of negative positive negative etc

is your plate arrangement - N N + ? or is it something different?

I believe the arrangement that I did here was a -N+N-N+ Hope that helps.

Thanks for the comments, I will try and put them into practice and see what results I get.

I did have problems with those neophrene gromets getting quite brittle after a while ... but they worked out ok for good while ...
I think it was heat that made mine deteriorate ... you might do better with them than I did if you can keep your device cool ...
good luck to you ... lets see how it does making bubbles in the soup ...
