  • Legend of Zelda 2? Fuck you. And Legend of Zelda wasn't that good? Yet another completely idiotic statement from the biggest idiot in the video game industry.

  • for example: Amnesia the dark descent, Bioshock, BF3, Assassin's creed, Metro 2033 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. But there is also alot of bad games that is poorly made and are just made because they want to earn money (I still enjoy them but are still shit compared to some master pieces) for example the CoD series. Using the same engine as CoD 4 just tweeked, and given to the public broken and almost the same as the previous because they want to make 1 game a year. But this is only MY opinion

  • This is my opinion, alot of old games are bad because they were poorly made and cheap or spin offs but there is alot of good retro games made that are deeply and amazingly created for example legend of zelda ocarina of time, donkey kong and castlevania. But there is alot of good games now too that are well made not hasted but most of them are created by a smaller studio or a good studio that is not owned by EA or Activision (sure there are some good games that came from them.)

  • Also I'm partiucrlly baffled by rpg fans who hold up the 16 bit era as some kind of golden age. Yes Final Fantasy 4-6 and Ct is kind of cool (though if you actually look at the story and plot of FF4, it really isn't that good by today's standards, especially if you think FF13 is REALLY BAD. Does Lighting REALLY have less depth than Cecil, when you factor in her character development? Is the villain really any lamer than a random space alien who comes out of nowhere?).. Id bring up Dual Orb but.

  • It took a lot of balls to post this and I'm glad you did. Thank god for talking the wall off nostalgiaa nuts eyes. If people really think the snes and genesis is that amazing they should try downloading some snes or genesis games they missed, and realise the hard way many games on that console really wern't that good.

    Well done man

  • Zelda 2 wasn't THAT bad. It was off-kilter, but it wasn't shit.

  • I'd much rather play the original then something like COD or Gears of War. :/

  • Pretty funny, but also fails to make a point. Tu quoque does not win an argument, and neither does isolating a ton of crap old games among the few real gems.

  • JANK

  • AMEN!

  • What he's saying is not completely wrong...but in the end it's all a matter of opinion and I have a feeling that the more dislikes this guy gets the truuer what he says is

  • I agree with most you say, but I still like Zelda 2. Also I would say that it is wrong to just say "The games were shit" for some games you stated (like Legend of Zelda) but rather "They haven't aged well" (which really is the case for the first one)

  • There's so many things I'd like to say about this video and retro games, but I could never fit all of my thoughts in this really tiny comment box...

  • Guess he doesn't take into account retro pc games that actually had better narrative and options

NWN Baldur's Gate and fallout and the rest of them that are better then a large amount of games today.

  • @TheSuperweasle For all those grea told games you are overlooking the countless terrible ones (JamesNintendoNerd has more than a few emotional issues thanks to all the shitty retro games he played) and this what Jim is talking about! The good/bad games ratio didn't change, it remains exactly the same!

  • I still enjoy playing many old games. Just because you may not doesn't mean there shit.

  • Is Final Fantasy 9 one of this guy's favourite games? Music from it plays in a lot of his videos.

  • well i have to agree with the for each gem on system there is another 10 pieces of shite statement because when i replayed a few game boy games recently i loved tetris dr.mario and super mario land 2 but the rest of the games i got sucked balls

  • Ah yes, "the audience is more intelligent", and all that fun I had with video games back then was fake.

  • @SandwichTaker You aren't paying attention.

  • i agree with 70% of the stuff you said, but at least back then, the hardware didn't break after 0,1 miliseconds (obvious exsagiration) of play time, at least there wasn't as much fps garbage and at least the fanboys weren't as fucking stupid. but still, good video.

  • We almost always have the same opinions, but damn, Legend of Zelda isn't good? WUT?!

  • @thekow

He didn't say that. He was talking about Zelda II which was indeed absolute garbage.

  • @SkyF0X9 Um, yes he did. 4:45. I quote: "Even some of your classics like THE ORIGINAL LEGEND OF ZELDA... Let's be honest, it wasn't that good. There was no direction, zero pacing whatsover, the combat was a crapshoot at best, and of course it looked like shite."

I'm well aware he was talking about Zelda II for most of the video, but not the whole video. Maybe you should watch everything and/or work on your comprehension skills.

  • Screw you, Super Metroid ans ALttP are two of the best games ever. Way better than shitty Other M.

  • I'm actually playing the original LOZ for the first time and I have to say I think it's pretty good. Just to see what all the fuss is about, I'm playing it without the help of a wiki so I ended up drawing my own map and making notes as I go.

So, yeah I think it stands up. I won't compare new vs old, but why would you? That's like comparing the telegraph back then to email today.

  • Ive listened to the podtoid for a while and had no idea what this guy looked like! Totally not what I expected LOL!

  • THANK GOD FOR JIM

  • Just a fat fuck who doesn't know what he is talking about. "Retro-gamers?" It doesn't take a retro gamer to notice the devastating drop in quality when it comes to story, music and level design. Also, you fat fuck tend to forget, that most of today's games have their roots back in the 90s when they had creativity. Back then, small groups of people wrote programs because they liked to do so, now they write games because they are employed by huge firms. See the difference you fat fuck?

  • @Szederp

Yup, because he's fat he doesn't have any credibility. Logic.

Devastating Drop in quality when in comes to story, music, and level design?

Yeah, because NES games like Super Mario Bros and Metroid had SUCH compelling stories...oh Metal Gear Solid?

Music? Right...because beeps and bloops are so much better than full on orchestra. Skyward Sword should have all 8-bit sounds because it'll make it better.

You need to get some perspective. People were greedy then, and they're greedy now.

  • "Legend of Zelda II"

    Go fuck yourself.

also, none of the final fantasy games from the past ten years were particularly good.

also, bioshock up to and including the scene with andrew ryan was pretty much brilliant (a bit clunky, but whatever) everything after that, though? i don't think so.

  • @astrochiken Actually on the subject of bioshock you can calk that one up to corporate money grubbing. Insomniac never actually wanted the end of the game to be like that but 2k insisted they have a really actiony ending.

  • @astrochiken

Hey, he's entitled to his opinion. Zelda 2 isn't exactly the best game of all time.

Final Fantasy didn't start out too good either. The first ones kinda look and play like crap, and really don't hold up.

Yeah, pretty shallow argument involving Bioshock there.

  • @joshscorcher yes, but comparing Zelda II to pretty much all of the games he mentioned it with is patently ridiculous. and thats not nostalgia talking, either, i didn't play Zelda II until last year.

and now that you mention it, none of the final fantasies were particularly good.

i also totally love the super mellow-dramatic mic toss he does at the end of the video. it makes him look like such a dip.

  • @joshscorcher i gave your comment thumbs up because you're joshscorcher XD

  • I liked bubsy back then

  • Hey, Rocket Knight Adventures/Sparkster was actually pretty fun.

  • Castlevania 2 was a good game, some people are just thick.

  • @GryffinDarkBreed

Or lack the patience to deal with frustration.

  • And if Jim doesn't convince you, folks, try watching a few AVGN videos. His entire show is basically devoted to proving how much old games sucked.

  • Brilliant! Perfect! I hate nostalgia gamers just as much as you do. Like fuckers who still refuse to admit there's anything better than GoldenEye on N64.

  • I hate ignorant nostalgia whores who think EVERYTHING was better back in the 80's and 90's, when we had just as many good and bad game then as we do now. It can be argued that things are more or less the same. We still have shit license games, Every new game tries to copy the big dog (games constantly try to rip off Mario and Sonic then, and games now try to rip off Call of Duty and Halo), and when a developer tries something new, people bitch that it's different.

  • Super Metroid is great and all, but the newer 2D Metroids were done way better. Metroid Zero Mission and Fusion was so much awesome rolled up in one. If Super Metroid was remade with some of Fusion and Zero Mission's ideas in mind, it would be even better than the original.

  • There were allot of good games back then and there was allot of shitty ones. Today there are allot of good games also, but look at all the games that come out today that are shitty also. Probably more than half the 360 and ps3 games are shooters with awesome graphics, with the same game play with small changes being mass produced.

P.S I thought that Zelda 2 was a great game, and you gotta look back to when it came out. It was only the second game and there wasn't an overhead standard yet.

  • @ipatchi002 Look at it this way. Nowadays it's really hard to release a shitty game. It has to be a flop, a game made to be shelled out at the same time as a movie, or it's someone with more in their wallet than in their head financing the project.

Nearly 30 years ago, shovelware flooded the market and crashed the gaming industry. We don't have that kind of floods right now. Games are always similar today? Look at how many Tetris rip-offs were made!

  • @ipatchi002 You're proving his point. Zelda 2 was a shitty game, it just seemed cool as a kid, I've tried picking it back up and playing it, it's awful. It doesn't matter when it came out if it's no fun.

  • @Tylerpoeactionhero i still think its a good game. The only thing i can say would keep me from playing it is i beat that game like 50 times, lol. But honestly if I hadn't played it that much i would deff pick it up and play it again.

  • i have the majority of all game consoles up to date, besides the 360. I would still much rather play my snes or nes than any of them. Hell I would rather play pandora on C64 before CoD or Halo, any of that junk.

  • The idea that video games are all bad today is ignorant, but so is the idea that video games are better than ever. While I absolutely love games today, from Super Mario Galaxy to Gears of War 3, I don't think you can judge games based on era. For example, I love plenty of games from nowadays, and plenty of games from the past. I enjoy Castlevania: Symphony of the Night more than Gears of War, though I love Gears of War. I enjoy Tales of Vesperia more than Shining Force II, though I love SF II.

  • Played Super Metroid for the first time in Virtual Console and it's one of the best games I've ever played.

I don't think anyone defends or remembers the shovelware from the past, but mostly 2D classics.

  • @MangaPlCTURE Omg I grew up with and am a HUGE fan of the Metroid series, and i agree Super Metroid is one of the best games to this day!

  • Comment removed

  • As a retro collector and a fanatic, I mostly disagree with this stuff, but I still appreciate your insights. ^_^

  • @WestPictures Wow, really? Super Metroid is my favorite video game! What was wrong with it for you?

  • He just started playing games in 2005, didn't he? Did he ever play a Super Nintendo? A Genesis? Turbographx? N64? You just watch AVGN and say it was all shit. Simon's Quest and Die Hard... Nice try. New games today are great but, gratuitous cutscenes, far too much story emphasis, 5 hour single player campaigns, and pissy bitch baby difficulties are getting hella old.

  • Dear Jim,

I recently played a retro game on the NES, that hooked me in from the beginning and I loved every minute of it. How can I be blinded by nostalgia for an old game I've never played before?

    -Your average gamer

  • @Dialgadude You never mentioned the game. I think it was a dream you had, cos most retro games really are shit.

  • @Dialgadude What did you play though? The idea that games were ALL better in the old days is ludicrous. People still play Super Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda because they were fucking CLASSICS. 90% of the games released then were NOT classics. Just like today. Gears of War is likely going to be a classic of the 360 - I'm going to assume that Bomberman: Act Zero will not.

  • I fucking hate people on gaming high horses that think they are so amazing for liking retro games better for no fucking reason AT ALL.

  • Verbal diarrhea

  • I played Zelda 2 for the first time when I was 17 years old and loved it. No nostalgia goggles. I do agree though that Zelda 1 hasn't aged that well.

  • this explains duke nukem perfectly. in my mind duke nukem forever has ruined the duke but actualy its exactly the same as the old one but im not 12 anymore

  • Zelda for NES: Not that good anymore

Zelda Link to the Past: Still fun

  • @WestPictures And Zelda Majora's Mask: greatest game ever made.

  • I just want to say here:

    Super metroid is not fun.

Metroid Fusion and Zero mission are amazing

  • @WestPictures Super Metroid too hard for you? lol

  • good thing there's angry video game nerd :)

  • @iAmNobodyAndSoAreYou That is cuz you suck ass too much to get far in FF3. GET BETTER BITCH

  • Fuck your punk ass motherfucker, Zelda 1 is not shit, YOU ARE. You fucking suck ass at it.

  • Destructoid is a shitty site. I swear that they either are new to games or they did play old games but just sucked too much ass at them. Faggot mods banned me after making up stupid ass personal attacks against me after I destroyed them and a bunch of whiny kids in a forum who were dickriding new games and talkin shit on the classics.

  • Show me a 3d game as fun as Mario 3.

  • This was an awful rant the only examples you used were games that were considered bad and you pretty much made out those were the only games back then

  • oh thank god im not the only one!

  • Preach it Jim.

  • It's not that all games were better back then, it's that there was at least some variety. Nowadays, it's all first person shooters. Nothing against the genre, but when they're rebooting X-COM and Syndicate as first person shooters, you know this shit's gone too far!

The gaming world really could use more variety, more complexity, and more 2D graphics!

  • @nightsdreamparadox You do know back then there was nothing but platformers and side scrolling shooters on the SNES, NES, SEGA GENSIS.

  • @nightsdreamparadox very well said. That is exactly what I think too! :-)

  • Comment removed

  • When we look back at the games we have now they will probably be retro and shit too.

  • Awesome Possum? Glad you didn't say Rocket Knight Adventures since Sparkster is the man! In RKA, you might think less of him for not taking the princess at the end, but that's because he's going to Neo Kobe City to go clubbing in Snatcher. Also, look at his manliness in Mitsumete Knight. Actually, don't. It's freakin' weird. But you can see it here anyway. watch?v=aJC4BlM36ow

Thumbs up this comment if you think Sparkster's the man!

  • Another monkey aping opinions formed from watching AVGN videos. Nice references to Castlevania II, Fester's Quest etc.

  • @Roodwurm well how exactly? Just because AVGN was the first on the internet that was popular that said it was bad? Need I remind you the reason the Nerd even did Fester's Quest was as a requested Review and even then he had so little to talk about the game he had to combine it with other Adam's family games just to make the video worth watching at all. Now if he was saying games like Jekyll and Hide which hardly anyone played then you'd have something.

  • All I know for sure is I was a bad enough dude to rescue Ronnie.

  • ....did he just say Zelda 2 was shit?

  • Good vid :) Then again though, I think the simplicity of the older graphics did drive some very inventive games that focused on only what was totally necessary (addictive and captivating gameplay).

But yeah... I like the new games too :)

  • I think it´s a shame the videogames is divided into modern games and retro games while people seem to disregard every pc and amiga games made in the 90s. That´s where the things got interesting, and i think some genres did a lot better back then. RPGs were a lot more imaginative and diverse, a lot of hybrid genres existed, the developers were experimenting and coming up with crazy design ideas. That´s why i love "retro" games, though i would say that i just love good games, age doesn´t matter

  • @thepezdispenser

I´d take DreamWeb over any game released these days. I love that game so much :D (and no, it isn´t nostalgi, i played it for the first time last year.). And Xcom is the best game ever made, still waiting for something that can surpass it.

  • I don't own any modern consoles, however I do have a modern PC with dual graphics cards and a 3D screen. I split my gaming time between modern PC titles and retro consoles like Dreamcast, PS1, Sega Saturn, SNES, Genesis and Nintendo 64. I find the shit-to-good ratio to be roughly the same on all of these platforms except the old machines are cheap, the games plentiful or easy to copy.

  • I will defend iCarly's honor.

  • The first LOZ is actually pretty good. I played and finished it for the first time in 2010.

  • I agree partially. Average game production value has soared. However, look at the the big games these days: sequels, spinoffs and ripoffs. It's not worse then before but there are some unfortunate trends nowadays.

PS: Jurassic Park on the genesis ruled fool. So did Zelda II. And Bubsy was mildly enjoyable.

  • the problem is that, back then, it was mouth to mouth:someone told you(and showed you) that awesome game, and you know what was there

now the internet subliminal adverts convince you "this game is awesome", but you have no way to see how it "feels"

I myself am a retro gamer, and I know when I find shit while mining for gold

in fact, I only had a genesis and a computer back then, so I don´t suffer nostalgia clouding my decisions.I am also spanish(read "got few bucks"),so I can´t allow failing

  • just listen, there´s a good retro(final fantasy 9) in the background

there are good retro games, and lost jewels , but there also are lost shitpiles like those the reviewers always play and post on youtube

seriously, Dr.Jeckyll is as bad as they say it is

  • I very much agree with most things Jim has to say, including this. However, no matter how much shit was released back then, or even now, we can still avoid it. Don't play games like Fester's Quest or Bart vs the World; instead, play Kid Icarus or Mega Man. Today, avoid games like Rogue Warrior and Cooking Mama, play games like Red Dead Redemption and Tekken. Don't judge games by age, but by quality and, most importantly, FUN.

  • @StJimmy765 Cooking Mama isn't shit, you're shit.

  • the phrase you want is "The memory cheats."I hear where you're coming from,Jim.I'm older than you are & as a Gen Xer I'm not of the video gaming gen,but it was exactly the same with 1970s tv shows a while back.Remember how for a while every show like Scooby Doo or the Brady Bunch was made into a film? How the 70s were idealized? I lived through them and a lot of it was shit.Alas, there's money in nostalgia of any kind,& I'd imagine there's a market to sell old games thru the rosy tint of memory.

  • legend of zelda shit by todays standards, sure. LOZ at the time was a break through and a brilliant game at the time. Just because we have such good games today does not mean we have to hate the games of the past that were just as good as bioshock at the time! ALL I HAVE TO SAY TO YOU IS FUCK OFF YOU FAT MOTHER FUCKER! WHEN IS YOUR CHOLESTEROL RIDDEN HEART FINNALY GOING TO PACK IN ON YOU SO YOU CAN STOP SPREADING THESE SHIT OPINION ON THE INTERNET

  • @daws0on First, BioShock is not as good as System Shock 2. Second, many fat people are probably healthier than you. The amount of fat cells they hold under their skin is not a diagnosis for whatever the shit is on their blood. Or else we would just put EVERY. SINGLE. FAT PERSON on a hospital.

Third, Jim's ad even says "get angry". You ignore the fact that even by that time's standards, games were pretty much shit. Which led to the crash of the industry because of shitty shovelware.

  • As a 14 year old boy who is still growing up, I don't enjoy people insulting the games I'm pretty much growing up with. I've had way more fun playing Fallout New Vegas than I did playing Spyro and Crash Bandicoot when I was about 5. I went back and played them again recently, they still aren't amazing.

  • @iAmNobodyAndSoAreYou Ah, so you're one of those conspiracy theorists who thinks that just because reviews don't match your opinion, the reviewer has been paid-off. Well, Square did a damn fine job paying-off dozens of reviewers.

You're allowed to not like a game, you really are, but you can't accurately state that a well-functioning game with an enjoyable, if not by you, story is a bad quality game. Final Fantasy 3 isn't my favourite, either, but I'd take it over 8 in a heartbeat.

  • @iAmNobodyAndSoAreYou Again, from your perspective. There's at least ten reviews out there that gave it over an "eight". You don't need to insult somebody's intelligence based on what RPG they like to play.

  • @iAmNobodyAndSoAreYou In your opinion. It has plenty of positive reviews (the DS version, anyways), and other people enjoy it.

You're allowed to not like it, though.

  • You know, it's funny to talk about Final Fantasy like that, because Final Fantasy is one of the few series that I think gives legitimate ammunition to people who pound their chests over "The Good Ol' Days". I'd take (going by the Japanese numeration) Final Fantasy 3-6 over 8, 10, 11, or 13 onwards.

  • You just verbalized perfectly what I have known for years but have been unable to put into words.

  • Fat.jpg

  • So Jim you're going to selectively dismiss what you said in previous videos to make a point in this video. You sir are the Bill O'reilly of video game media.

  • my hero!

  • at the very least, there has been a dramatic decline in games that are made solely to push a product. hell the only ones i can even think of are those burger king games and even THOSE are about as much fun as a random indie game off of XBLA.

  • Jim, I like what you say and you make some decent points, but your episodes always end on an odd note. Not because your argument goes sour, but because the microphone make a funny noise when you drop it.

  • I dunno... I like games with little direction or pacing. It lets you as a player control where you go, and what you do. I suppose you could equate the Legend of Zelda with Minecraft. Games with good stories are nice, and I do play newer games as well. But there's something magical about getting dropped in a world that's almost completely blank and seemingly random. And then all of a sudden you find a temple, or something that was obviously manufactured. It's a feeling most new games don't have.

  • tis true big man, tis true.

  • Moviebob must've made 343 accounts to get all of these dislikes.

  • @CrazyCheeseMagee HA! That was good :)

  • What I personally think about this whole retro gaming vs modern gaming thing is basically this: Retro games made more of what they had than modern games do. Sure, they aren't BETTER than what we have today, but they made more from what scant resources they had. Basically, what I'm trying to say, is in the ol' days we had less potential, but made more of it, and nowadays we have more potential, but make less of it, though games are better than of old because of the total potential.

  • Totally agree with this. Die-hard retro gaming fans are almost as bad as those spotty 14 year olds who only listen to music from the 70s and 80s and go on about how all modern music is terrible. The case is exactly the same with music and games: There was shit back then too, but nobody remembers it because it was shit. But we do remember Mario and Led Zeppelin because they were awesome. Considering how much game design has moved on since the 80s, to avoid modern games is just ridiculous.

  • @ThePsychoToaster Most of the people complaining are usually around 11-16 years old, and it's as simple as copying and pasting highest rated comments.

  • @ThePsychoToaster But the difference is that the crappy games from back then were obscure shoveware. Now yes theres obscure shovelware now, but what people are getting on about is that a lot of the MAJOR AAA titles that everybody knows about suck as well...

  • @ThePsychoToaster Pretty much this. Every generation has its great games and every generation has its shit. It'll be the same when we're older. I think it's important to play older games to keep us from letting our nostalgia override what the games actually were. Helps keep us from getting "old (wo)man syndrome." :)

  • @ThePsychoToaster I don't think you're seeing the whole picture here.

Sure most old games were shitty, but most new games are shitty, too.

But there are some games that were great when they were released, and that are great games now.

My personal example is UFO - Enemy Unknown. I discovered this game only a few month before, i don't like it, because i liked it when i was younger, i like it because it is awesome.

  • I love Jim because he brings out the idiots in the comment section :3

  • I love how people actually take this way to seriously, grow up people

  • Lol song in the background is Jesters of the Moon from Final Fantasy IX, the one in the series that is the homage to the early games in the series. Nothing but trolling in these videos, move along folks.

  • totally agreed

  • GET RID OF THOSE FUCKING GLASSES

    LOSE SOME WEIGHT

    WASH YOUR HAIR

  • Stopped watching at 3:27. I'm not even someone who considers myself a retro gamer, but Zelda II was the greatest Zelda in the whole series. It was an Action/Adventure game that remembered to put the ACTION into it. It's solid, well built, and the only thing "shitty" about it are the people who complain because it's too hard for them.

  • The same guy who cried and gave The Witcher 2 a 6/10 for being too hard.

Old games aren't shitty, this man is just the biggest casual ever.

  • @SteamBetaAssistant I think he's talk about shitty retro games, and the classics we loved aren't really that to now. Like Mario and Zelda, are better now than before. That and everyone fucks up, he's not right... but he has good points.

  • @Superdouchebag1231 ok i'll give you that, I though you meant his talent

  • You're a very stupid person. If it wasnt for those retro games you wouldnt have your precious COD, Halo, Uncharted and Bioshock. You must suck at games if you only care about graphics. Rose tinted glasses? Hard to say that when your wear the most popular style of sunglasses now. Retro games had originality. Everything now is just a rehash of something we have seen before (COD, Halo, Madden) Its the same game everytime. I own consoles from odyssey to Wii but when you say retro games suck You fail

  • @LpJunior537 If it wasn't for rape, none of us would be here. It still doesn't justify rape. Don't you niggers ever bother to watch the videos before posting your nigger shit?

  • @bigniggurdick first off your argument just failed for your racism. second i did watch the whole video.

  • @LpJunior537 And yet you still fail, nostalgia fag.

  • @bigniggurdick I don't but ok ill just assume you're a fanboy to this guy and next gen games. Have fun

  • @LpJunior537 I am going to write what you said on an ear of corn. Then I'm going to eat the corn just so I can have the satisfaction of shitting out and seeing your message in the toilet tomorrow morning.

  • @bigniggurdick hahahahaha really? You must be like 12. If not then wow.

  • @LpJunior537 If I'm 12, then how is it that my spelling and grammar are better than your own? You do speak English, correct?

  • @bigniggurdick So your only defense to being immature is to point of my grammar mistakes? That is the sign of a troll and every comment you make is negative from what it shows on your recent activity.

  • @LpJunior537 When did trolling become synonymous with telling the truth? The reason I'm so nasty to failed abortions like yourself is because failed abortions like yourself don't deserve any goddamn courteousy. You accuse me of racism only to use an ageist attack against me? LOL Pot calling the kettle black.

  • @bigniggurdick You obviously need some anger management. I stated my opinion just like the ignorant guy did in the video, yet you defend him blindly. If you're not 12 then I'm sorry you act like you are. Every comment in your recent activity is rude. My comment was rude because Jim made his argument in a rude way.

  • @LpJunior537 Treat a bitch like a bitch and a ho like a ho. That's my philosophy, biotch nigga.

  • @bigniggurdick Good luck with that.

  • @bigniggurdick You suck dick at video games bitch. Keep whining how old games suck just cuz you suck at them.

  • Comment removed

  • @LpJunior537 Through out your comment you didn't bring up a single real point on why he fails. How is experience graphic related? He implied different game engines came out and different generes were developed.Look at the modern RTS and FPS games and compare to those back then. How is everything a reharsh?Half games add inovations and interesting features. The fact a game has it's sequel with better graphics and game engine doesn't make it a reharsh.

  • @Superdouchebag1231 dont ever say that

  • Hello Mr. Neanderthall! At what point did I say it wasn't fact? Games of today have more depth, they play better, look better and sound better than retro games. So it is a fact that games of today are better, the opinions of a delusional fool hooked on nostalgia don't change the fact that they are. My opinion that you people are insane is due to you willingness to ignore facts.

So far all you have said was " you are wrong because some people like it" and that's not a proper argument. Grow up.

  • Ye lets just ignore 25 years of videogame evolution and say pull out the subjectivity card just because some people are too stupid to see the difference between nostalgia and quality.

You are an absolute retard. It doesn't fucking matter if you said retro games are better than modern ones or not, you where the one who replied to my comment that was directed at those people that do think that and that's what the video is all about as well. You are way too thick even for the internet, shithead.

  • @charlielol15

''You are an absolute retard'' LOL irony

Remember that magical word I told you to remember?

Subjective. Plenty of people I know prefer SNES style side scrollers as opposed to full on 3D games.

That's their opinion. Is that too hard for your tiny brain to comprehend?

I got some free time later today, hit me up if you're in need of some more verbal ownage.

Fucking kids with down syndrome lawl

  • @jasamdomo

"Plenty of people I know prefer SNES style side scrollers as opposed to full on 3D games."

Can be achieved today with better graphics and better sound quality. Outland and Donkey Kong Country returns both offer you that same kind of gameplay while sporting much better visuals and sound that would have never been possible in the 16bit era.

Games should not stop evolving just because of Neanderthals like you that want everything to stagnate.

People like you are a bloody cancer.

  • @charlielol15

They don't care if it can be achieved with better this or better that.

    They just don't care moron.

Good thing you mention those two games, because those games some of them already own.

And again, you create a strawman by misrepresenting my points and falsely accuse me of saying something I didn't. :3

The little tool called me a cancer. Awww

  • @jasamdomo

Your stupidity knows no bounds. If they don't care about it then why do they keep bitching for games to go back to the way they where? Why don't they just stick to their retro games and live and let live instead of complaining and whining? Its not like game developers can go back to the 1990s and make more games for them there. Besides, I didn't misrepresent your points. I just pointed out how retarded they were. That's not a strawman. That's refuting a fallacious argument., imbecile.

  • @jasamdomo

Subjective opinion doesn't make people right. Some people think its cool to do drugs till they drop dead, some people think its fun to have sex with children, some people say women are inferior to men, some people hate Jews and some people like to claim retro games are better than modern games. And in my opinion all these people are insane. And who the fuck are you to tell me what I can or can't say? You are just an Ape who learned to type.

  • @charlielol15

And subjective opinion doesn't make them wrong either.

You started out by saying that what the guy above said was fact, it's so cute now that you basically did a 180 and confirmed my point. You poor misguided fool. You knew you were wrong all this time. :3

I love your gradeschool insults too. Send more my way plox.

  • @jasamdomo

Ahhh, the hardship of explaining the difference between a fact and an opinion to an utter imbecile on the internet. I feel your pain brah.

  • Comment removed

  • @Namco1707

The fact is that games of today are superior in every single aspect, from gameplay to length and anything in between. The existence of group of people that thinks otherwise doesn't change that. Some people think an old book written by ignorant desert nomads holds the answers to everything. Some people think they are superior to others just because of the color of their skin. These people are demented and ignore facts just to live in a fictional version of the world that they prefer.

  • @charlielol15 LMAO you sound like a little kid. You have the most ignorant inexperienced opinion on gaming EVER. I doubt you been gaming that long. Your opinion means SHIT you scrubby little casual. Shut your face n know your place.

  • @ContraCommando

You're just proving that retro gamers are silly little cunts. :)

  • @charlielol15 To you casuals of COOOURSE I am gonna appear that way ya fake ass gamer.

  • @Namco1707

He should continue doing what he is doing.

Giving me and everybody else lolz.

  • I like retro games too. I just don't go around saying they are better than the games of today. That's like saying cave paintings have more artistic value than renaissance paintings. People who argue that are plain stupid and/or delusional. Now go play some NES and fuck off the internet so that the collective IQ goes up a bit, Idiot.

  • @charlielol15

I never said that they were better than the games of today, retard.

Though, if someone prefers retro over modern that's their subjective opinion.

    Remember that word. Subjective.

LOL at the last sentence. Before you go off on a tangent about someone else's IQ, at least learn proper capitalization. :D

  • you can't say that all retro games are shit, sure most of them are but there's plenty of new games that fit this mold too. I think every generation of console is going to have a few gems on it but will be far outweighed by the vast amounts of shovelware

  • dude u have no idea what u are talking about classic games will always be better than todays games
