All together it left us with room to explore many stories from the main line. The series gave a believable explanation of how we got here & the existence of other races beyond, kind of Star Trek like. Star Gate as a whole was, I thought, well written and well filmed. The fault of falling ratings - cutting short SGA, time slot switching & no way for "SyFy" to track viewer ship of DVR recordings. If it was about money MGM could have made more continuing the saga.. WE'RE WAITING MGM!!!!

I grew up watching ST TNG, DS9, Voyager then B5, Space above & Beyond, Fire Fly & BSG. SG beyond all above mentioned was the most believable/ plausable basis for a Sci Fi series. SG, fun & adventurous, the back drop explaining the state of the universe. SGA expanded our understanding of the powers at play combining elements of B5/ ST type large space battles. SGU they were filming more like BSG.. lone ship trying to find its way, with character developement & a feeling of empty space.

better to continue Stargate Atlantis, was the best from the best, but Stargate Universe,(...)was not like as it should be.Each episode was interesting in SG1 and Atlantis, but in Universe I expected something more...since they travel to other galaxies and vast Universe the story was too limited. I think everyone has figured all sorts of things to happen in such long journey. Ok..space battles in Universe was good, I don't complain because at this time exist resources to make it happen. Story!!!

SGU lost the wonder and inocense that made SG great !!! i know the writers and producers were trying to crawl out from one shadow into another, but this one being Lost, BSG and Jersey Shore combined...I don't like Jersey Shore...The last soap opera i like was ROBOTECH, now that is an 'Opera of the ages...imagine if someone dared to make ROBOTECH into a tattooed nose ring gangster rap t.v. reimagination with characters that cheat and steal and have no dignity, just to say "We are Raw"

well the alien is a "shadow" alien from babylon 5 just remastered the facebook page means nothing, the pics are from mirko and an hungarian fan group getting the rights from mgm for a cgi film thats fits in nowhere in the sg with a poor story line and 3 races that dont exist in the sg world lore.....and they probably got the money leaching off the brits beifit system hope this dies off and quick the only fan base thing right now is the Stargate Pegasus Chronicles that honors the show

@jayphat99 "fake" has stopped being a term cared about in stargate circles. SGRedemption is the third fan made stargate production. I beleive SGU: Season 3 is actually getting the original writers to give ideas/guidance. Stargate, now dead to mainstream tv, has become a universe for and of the fans. "Fake" and "real" are the same.

I always buy stream for as much money as I'm comfortable using and the rest I download. Since I live in a country where I can't get SyFy those are the only ways I can watch the shows.

SGU is in a completely different class than SG-1 and SGA. SG-1/SGA had a funny, comedy side to it, while SGU is completely opposite. That was VERY refreshing to the franchise. Such a shame it only lasted for 3 seasons, but I have no idea how a show with 1-2 million viewers could get cancelled.

It's a shame about Stargate, but it wasn't exactly unexpected. SG-1 was an original, exciting, classic Sci-Fi show. SGU is a dull, overacted, cliche SyFy show. Do you know the difference between the old Sci-FI and the new SyFy? Sci-Fi stood for "science fiction" and SyFy apparently stands for "soap operas that we're going to pawn off as science fiction because they take place on a dimly lighted spaceship". I question the use of the name "Stargate" because how many times did they use 1 in SGU?

@Edocsil6437 What I was gettin around to saying was, you can't blame the network for cutting off the show, when the show's ratings were going steadily downhill and it wasn't making them hardly any money. As opposed to Firefly, which has steadily gained popularity since it was cancelled, I think SGU is going to steadily lose popularity as new examples of real science fiction fill the gap that SG-1 left behind.

It broke storyline, too many new characters, too new plot, they fucked over hyperdrive, the "space battles" were a joke, they turned the entire franchise into a Real Housewives of StarGate show. Half of the series was "I have the bigger dick and I'm in charge" between the Civilians and the Military. They fucked over the Lucian Alliance, and made them too Tau'ri like, list goes on. srry
