In Power Rangers, Tommy lost his powers as Green Ranger because in the original TV Show, Burai died and so Saban "was forced" to make Tommy as White Ranger since he couldn't use more Green Ranger footage.

@Hyalyago well thats not true considering they had already made their own Green Ranger footage (look at the Sentai series and the MMPR series and notice the difference in the Dragon Shield.) They could have continued it.

No, that was because they finaly purchased those suits and they could continue the TV show their own way, or so I thought.

By the time "The Green Candle" took place, they were using the Sentai footage, but since they decided to change the events allowing the Green Ranger just lose his powers instead of dying... and since they owned those suits later... yeah, maybe you're right, they could've kept the Green Ranger alive. BASTARDS!!!

their budget would let them keep making more green ranger footage, plus they had the idea to use dairanger's white ranger and progress the story along so that they could save money. I prefer they make an original story as oppose to just straight copying the sentai story line.
