@Overhazard Plus, in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. Starting from episode 98 (or 99) is the WRGP, which stands for, World Riding Grand Prix. In other words, World Riding Duel Grand Prix. Team 5D's won!! Which is Akiza, Yusei, Jack, Crow, Luna and Leo, plus Bruno who is dead in episode 145 (or 144)!
wow u lasted 2/3 of the first race before even using an item. that was a definite downfall for you. and if im not mistaken, u only actuallly used 1 item!
Here's a tip that might help you out. If you ever get on the wrong escalator (the one that's descending) drive onto the red hand-rest thing that borders it.
You can drive straight onto the hand rests from the escalator? I didn't know that. (I knew they counted a sjumps though, as I've seen the Expert Ghost do it.)
Eh, you call yourself "unlucky", but you made mistakes that set you up to be "bashed around". I don't think that you were unlucky; only that you had some poor driving at parts, no offense.
On your last vid, you hit the Shy Guy crab, and didn't use your Rearview to see where the BB was coming from and what direction to go in order to avoid it.
End of Toads Factory - you trick off the small hills to bump into the wall setting you up to get hit by the last second BB.
Coconut Mall - you (almost) run into a car and have to slow down as a result, and you get starred. Also I noticed that you didn't BB through the sc. If you had, you would have been 1st instead of 2nd and hadn't been Redded by 3rd. Also, it's better to go around the plant than trick off of it right before the boost and turn where the cars are, and you shouldn't be tricking off of the fountain at the beginning either, both of those are for items only, not a faster line. :P
Heh, items are why I play Mario Kart. I try to go for as many items as possible for offense and defense. I'll keep that in mind when playing Time Trials, however.
I didn't even know a Bullet Bill was coming, and by the time I heard it, I couldn't react in time. Do people rapidly press the rearview button, or do people hold it down? If I keep looking back for too long, I fall off the course or get hit by something in front of me.
Oh, I took a look at the other video again. Heh, looks like it wasn't about reaction time as it was that I forgot you can look back.
I see what you mean though; these are just normal judgment errors for me. It happens with everything I do. It's a part of me that can't be fixed. (Kind of like how, no matter how advanced--or simple--a math test is, I'll always get about 85% on them.) Thanks for going through the trouble to point them out.
Of course, unless you've got polydactly on your left hand, this means you might have trouble holding an item behind you and looking backwards simultaneously.
Wow, I didn't realize so many people chose Sprinters and Honeycoupes. You, Christina, and Vivian all used the Sprinter while Katie, Henry, and I chose the Honeycoupe.
You definitely made up for your last place finish. During the first two races, you could already tell these would be close.
And just look at all that gold! We're quite a sparkly group. lol!
Yes, there were. I saw at least one Blue Shell in Delfino Square and one in Maple Treeway.
I'm usually finding myself ganged upon towards the end of races. People use up whatever items they've been holding onto, and I wind up as their collateral damage.
lol. It's fine. I should know by now to NEVER get comfortable during a race, no matter how close to the finish line I am. Watching this now, I am so shocked at how close everyone was at the very end of Toad's Factory.
one time my cousin was playing on my wii and she got hit by a blue koppa a bullit bill and a gy with an invincible

@AriEmeraldstar What, the Sprinter? I believe that comes after unlocking at least 8 fast staff ghosts.

@Overhazard THAT unlocks Baby Luigi. Sorry, I know. Hey that means you have the Tiny Titan unlocked.

To get star-ranks, you need to have at least a 1-star rank in every Mario GP cup.

is it me or does the screen have a red/ orange tint?
linksocarina 2 years ago
Some games have strange tints, though I don't think Mario Kart Wii has one. It's constantly in soft focus though, which is weird.

how do i enter these cups?

I just figured out that you could perform a stunt on the escalator rails a week ago...xD I'm slow.
CaramelldansenxD 2 years ago
Nah, it's not obvious. Coconut Mall is absolutely packed with trick opportunities.
Overhazard 2 years ago
You can also do it on these orange-yellow like rails on wario-gold mine.

That's how it usually is for close races like these where I'm behind: Everybody gets all the Item Boxes before I reach that spot.

Yes. You simply drive onto them like you would a ramp.
Azurekate 3 years ago
The red-set has the same material as the Coconut Mall short cut. It slows you down quite a bit.

The only disappointment is that I couldn't be there. Settling in at Uni and forgetting to bring a TV sure has it's downsides. :P

TemaShika24 3 years ago
I don't know. When everyone was arriving, it said that your location is Japan. Japanese games are udnerlined in red.

Hmmm, I have the Japanese version, so if that's the case...

Say, how can you look behind you with just the Wii Wheel anyways? I've been trying to figure that out ever since I've started practicing with it.
ShadowWolfTJC 3 years ago
Huh? You're using the Wii Wheel now? Are you planning the next weekend's races to be Wii Wheel only?
Anyway, to look backwards, you press the A button.
Overhazard 3 years ago
Thanks for the information. I'll try it out next time I practice.
Anyways, the Wii-Wheels only tournament won't be until next weekend. (The weekend after this upcoming weekend, which would host the Terra Cup.)

TemaShika24 3 years ago
A winning streak is something I know I can never keep up in Mario Kart Wii.
I was avoiding using the Jetsetter, since that's simply the kart I do the best with.
Overhazard 3 years ago
You did very well in Coconut mall. :D Nice Job

lol wow. you really got slammed in that first race. probably the 2nd most unluckiest race I've seen (the first is me, of course :)

Good job. I didn't realize you were pushed around so much. Much worse then me. :(
TemaShika24 3 years ago
From what I'm told, everyone who wasn't playing as a heavyweight got pushed around like crazy.
Overhazard 3 years ago
Well, there were some Dry Bowsers and Funky Kongs. I was pushed by item users. I was using Baby Daisy, so I got pushed like I was a feather.
The Bullet Bill at the end of Toad's Factory was mine...sorry...
TemaShika24 3 years ago
Oh, so you're [RP]James? You got 1st place in Toad's Factory, and you remained in 1st place overall on the first half of the races.
Overhazard 3 years ago
I wavered through 4th and 6th for the remainder of the cup. 1st was because of the Bullet Bill luck. :)
Yes, I was [RP]James, but I'm thinking about changing it to [RP]Tyler. James is getting a little old.
TemaShika24 3 years ago
You still had a strong showing in Coconut Mall, and you still placed ahead of me overall in the end, getting 5th place out of 9.
Overhazard 3 years ago
Meh, I guess I have to thank the speed boosting items. Or else, I'd be 9th every time.
I'm surprised how there wasn't a signal Blue Shell in this cup.
TemaShika24 3 years ago
Yes, there were. I saw at least one Blue Shell in Delfino Square and one in Maple Treeway.
I'm usually finding myself ganged upon towards the end of races. People use up whatever items they've been holding onto, and I wind up as their collateral damage.
Overhazard 3 years ago
Yeah, you were ganged up on a lot. :(
I didn't see them at least.
Christina and I battled it out on Delfino Plaza.
I hit her with a star, and then she came and whacked me with a Bullet Bill.
TemaShika24 3 years ago
Also, I was the only one without a star.
TemaShika24 3 years ago
Ugh! That was you who passed me at the very last second! Grr. I was so looking forward to coming in first. lol.

=P Oh well. If items were off, that position would have been yours.
TemaShika24 3 years ago
