May was the reason I now LOVE the anime alot!

If their's a Ruby and Sapphire remake for the DS/3DS due for next year, then May (And maybe her brother Max) might come back to join or visit Ash.

Anyways this song is beautiful and sad.

For the most part, I wasn't a fan of May. But this movie was one of the times I actually liked her. She made some tough choices and put Manaphy's needs ahead of her own.

@hhamor Those are the in story reasons, the real reason they left are:

Misty: The writers wanted to change the cast a bit to counter the decline in ratings and felt that Misty was, in their words, the character whose existence was the least justified (basically, she was just there to draw girls). Apparently, it either Misty or Team Rocket, and they thought that Team Rocket have to stay.

May: The new set of games came out, so there was no longer a need to promote R/S/E.

There is no doubt that this movie was designed for the Advanceshipper.

There is also no doubt that this is probably the strongest shipping with the most hints in the actual story, besides Pokeshipping. Those 2 are the most believable shipping pairs.
