I just watched all the videos and it's all settled. I'm gardening on my balcony. I live in a high rise in Chicago and I have to try it out. When there is a will there is a way. Thank so much for the inspiring video. I am craving veggies for some reason. LOL Can't wait to see more videos. These were so much fun to watch. Thank you!!!!!!
I just watched all 22 parts...a very inspiring series. I can't wait until the second season. I've been thinking of using the SFG method for a garden in Maryland; I think I'll get the book.
I've also been thinking of adapting some of the cold frame/tunnel ideas in Four-Season Harvest by Eliot Coleman. It seems like a natural fit: mini-"greenhouses" that fit over the SFG boxes. Coleman gets all kinds of produce year round in Maine. You could probably do wonders in Florida.
I love to hear my videos have inspired others to garden! The book is wonderful! Square Foot Gardening has just been named one of the best ways to improve your life in 2009! Check it out at US news and World Report! Thanks so much for viewing!
And here in Nürnberg, Germany, we have fresh snow covering everything. My SFG is hibernating but under a couple of plastic cloches I have some tiny lettuce seedlings sticking their heads up, in spite of the extra horse manure which I mixed in. I was afraid there'd be too much nitrogen, but it appears I was wrong. What a relief. Thanks for the videos - they're a real inspiration, as ever.
Here in canada in the province of Alberta we have a blizzard. every thing is covered in snow and we are house bound. Some neighbourhoods have so much snow that you cant even get in to the area. It takes 3 hours for a cab to pick you up and our busses are all stuck in the snow. to make a long story short be thankful you have nice weather it could be worse you could be were I am.LOL (this weather is concided normal)
They will turn red, but they also lose much of their water and shrivel up. I like to keep them on the plant if possible. Thanks for watching!

Here in New England, everything is gray and bleak, whereas your little garden is a green oasis. Thanks for posting it.
