uhm 1 question does acohol as a ingrident in the shampoo such as cetyl acohol mess up your hair? i use treseme smooth and silky conditioner says x5 the silky ness and the shampoo is mouisteruzer of treseme is it good (i wish its good for your hair cuz i just bought it -__- )

u r so right about losing hair. i started using pantene and i have lost so much hair. now after i take a shower, so much hair falls that it all bundles up and doesn't even go down the drain. (sry about the disgusting description) but it's true!! thk u so much.
Hi,I was wondering that you know how you said that pantene shouldn't be used because it has ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate? well what if it has sodium laureth sulfate instead? can i still use it? thanks(:

Please HELP!!! - my hair has been shoulder length for over a year now (I got my hair cut a year ago and never sense) people keep saying my hair looks shorter but i don't get it cut and it has not grown, I straighten my hair everyday with a flat iron (trust me I need to) because my hair is so puffy, thick, and wavy after I shower and dry it. My hair brakes off and that's why It doesn't grow - I use suave shampoo and conditioner - is that good?? if not what should I use??

@sarahreaume ok! i think i wanna try sleeping with it in...i should use a shower cap though, right? :D also, do you use deep conditioner or regular conditioner? :D
@TheClutzyninja Salon products are much better as most drugstore and shop bought stuff have to much silicone in them which trys to make your hair look shiny though its actually just killing your hair i say if you have the money go salon!!!!!
@TheClutzyninja cheaper products tend to coat the hair to make it appear healthy and shiny, but really it's just covering up damage. Salon products have protein (keratin) which nourishes the hair. Basically, drugstore products (save a few) make hair "look" healthy while salon products make the hair truly healthy.
i dont get it do u put the deep conditner after the shower then the shower cap and eveything or put it as a condinter conditer like in the shower plzz anser asap
@tswiftz You can put it on after the shower and then put your hair in a shower cap. Or you can put it on in the shower, but just don't rinse it out yet.
Lol . If You Have Any Of The Products Like Pantene , Head And Shoulders , Or Herbal Essences , And If They Smell Good , Use Them As Body Washes . Works For Me . Lol . Really , It Does !
for people with damage hair use PANTENE INTENSE DAMAGE REPAIR ! they specificlly say its for people who dye their hair and flat iron it and curl it and put to much heat andd basiclly DAMAGED hair . It's like you can still do your styling but cut back on it ( i recomend ) and use the PANTENE INTESE DAMAGE REPAIR. but if i was you i would quit on burning your hair for a while and use the product. FOR EXAMPLE istopped straigting my hair and in about 2months and it grew about 5 1/2 inches :D<33
@trueblood22896 no that dries out your hair if you have dry brittle damaged hair and i hope that helped also try pantene thats a good brand ive been useing it and its awesom1 :D
I know conditioning is a "big step" in maintaning "healthy" hair. However, isn't sleeping with it in your hair overnight a bit much. I know too much conditioner isn't great either. -Shrugs-
@kunfussed213 I guess it just depends on how much you're willing to do. I find sleeping with it in does a great job at letting the conditioner soak into my hair folicle.
@Ms2010Jackie I'm glad you liked it. I actually just bought a ghd last month. I don't use it everyday though, because heat, no matter how much you protect your hair, will always damage. Ceramic and tourmaline are bought great options for straightners, but definitely use heat protectant on each strand you straighten, and also before you dry/blow dry :-) !! Thanks again!
Redken works very well. You can get good deals, depending on the time of year. After Christmas, many salons clear out their gift sets. I bought a package of Redken shampoo and conditioner, plus a bonus hair spray, for $10! That's cheaper than drug stores! Definitely look out for the deals! :-)
actually, people experienced hairloss from pantene because of build-up. its more important to buy a professional shampoo not conditioner because build up can cause scalp problems and hair loss. and ALS is not as harsh as SLS, which is why products containing these tend to build up
i find it funny how they said to avoid pantene, herbal essences, and head and shoulders...they're all made by the same company! but i've also had the worst of luck with these.
I have not used ANY styling crap on my hair or blow dried for 4yrs and no haircut for 2yrs. I home dye all over monthly nice n easy natural med brown. I used to use neutrogena color treated but they discontinued so a mad search began! Salons were out did Paul Mit and Joico and found them a money sucker by pushy hairdressers. I tried herbal natural crap and it dried me out and gave me hives! I then tried Pantene Smooth Vitality Shamp And Cond and Leave in Cond. Gives me amazing hair! 5 stars!
I get complements on my hair all the time. It really is beautiful. guess what I use?... Suave radiant brunette shampoo paired with pantene beautiful lengths conditioner. I've been using suave shampoo with Pantene conditioner for years. I then spray Dove moisture on my hair after I get out of the shower and I'm set. My husband uses the same stuff I use and his hair is pretty as well. Btw, you can't make you're hair healthy. It's dead cells, all you can do is make it appear healthy!
good deep conditioner is palm oil my hair used to b mega curly poofy frizzy damaged dry u name it ive been using palm oil once a week overnight n wash off in the mornin w/ a gentle shampoo n usin Infusium 23 Moisture Conditioner n i can literally wash n go! my hair is so shiny n soft NO FRIZ n it went 4rm poofy curly to defined waves plus easier to straighten so yeah :)
I can see clearly see the products you recommond for health but can you please let me know what is your opion on Dove being i never used it. Your thoughts are greatly appreachated.
@milkyone18 i have bleached hair, and dove heat therapy was a miracle for me! i use it every time im not deep conditioning and it works like a charm : D
Mane N Tail - I have never heard of this brand. Is it from Sally's or a drug store? I live in Canada, so some products that you have in the U.S. might not be the same as here. The olive oil, eggs, and avacado conditioning sounds great, though! I've done that before, too. It didn't work as well as the conditioners with Keratin in it (the protein that hair is made of), but it was a good treatment!
My bestfriend said "like wth.what language are u guys talking? so stupidd. Evryonee know that salon brands will damage more actually, overtime longterm.hope this video get sued for ruining the normal brands reputation. sorreeeeyyy:D"
A video won't get sued for "damaging reputation". This is the opion of the video creator - me! Take it or leave it. What I claim in this video has always been true for me. Once you use salon brands, you'll never go back! Trust me :-)
Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein and Hydrolyzed Silk are definitely good! Tresemme used to be a professional brand, so their reputation is pretty good. The only problem is that when products go to drug stores, a lot of times, there is more water content than content of the other ingredients. We have no way of knowing the amonth of water in these products. If you kept it on for a long time, it should be okay :-) !
I alternate between Redken All Soft and Redken Extreme -- I also use the Redken All Soft Heavy Cream as a deep conditioner once a week as well as the Redken Extreme Anti-Snap Leave in Treatment ... my hair has never been in better condition and I bleach my hair so that's gotta say something for the products, right :o)
Yeah, Redkin is definitely really good! I just got out of the shower and I washed my hair with the Extreme shampoo and conditioner today. It's definitely one of my favourites. I have naturally brown hair, but I highlight it, and it definitely wouldn't be in such great condition if I didn't use good products! Thanks for commenting :-)
I don't want to say it's bad, because a lot of people like it. I used to like it before I switched to salon brands. Now, though, I think if I were to use it, I'd hate it, since I don't like any non-professional shampoos/conditioners. Unless you compare it to professional shampoos, you probably won't notice anything. It does have a lot to do with personal preference, so if you like it, just keep buying it :) Thanks for watching!
My mom use to be so cheap and all she would get me were Sauve products lol. Professional do cost more, and it seems stuck up but once you use them you do see a biggg difference....I did hear a lot of those drug store brands justs coat the hair and don't actually improve it. However, remember teh drug store does have some great brands...salon brands..like paul mitchell there and nexus.
I've only used Nexus when it was sold professionally in salons. I wonder why they made it a drug store... I don't mean this to sound like I'm "too good" to use the product now, but I don't trust it anymore, you know? I don't know. You're right though -- some drug store brands aren't bad. Things like mousse and hairspray are places that you can sometimes cheap-out on, because they're not products to improve your hair, but they're for styling. Thanks for commenting! :-)
and what do u think about hair silk and shampoo for baby (yes, thats a little funny ;) but for me baby shampoos like johnsons baby is more more more better as the products like pantene, herbal essences etc. because my hair are not too dry and they are having a good colour - i dont paint my hairs.) what do u think about?
They're probably not bad to use, because it doesn't have as many of the harmful ingredients in it! Do you use professional conditioner, though? I definitely would!! :)
I cant find any of the prodcuts are good for my hair and if i do there all broken caps and been there for months and months trust me the slaon had a broken bottle and the prodcuts was sticking to the self.
omg? Im so glad I came upon your video here! Ive been using pantene for quite a while now and I have been loosing a lot of hair! Do you think head and shoulders is better or treseme?? Plz write back! Thanks again <3
Thanks for watching! If you've read some of the other comments, you'll see that Pantene does that to a lot of people with their hair! People have told me that Head and Shoulders is one of the worst shampoos to use because of the amount of wax in it. If you're sticking with drug store brands, Tresemme would be a good choice, or even the got2b brand. I still would def suggest a salon product (3:08). You can get some pretty cheap at some places. Continued....
I still wouldn't suggest a drug store brand shampoo though, even though some are okay. I was staying some place last night and I had forgotten my hair shampoo and conditioner at home, so I had to use their Sunsilk. I used to like Sunsilk, but that was before I switched to professional brand shampoos. My hair litterally feels ratty, lacks shine, and is dull. I can't believe the difference that a salon brand shampoo makes. I will never use brands like that again. But I hope that I helped! Thanks!
I've never used Suave, but I wouldn't recommend it. If you don't colour, chemically straighten, flat iron, or blow-dry your hair, I don't really see the need to spend a fortune on good hair. If you do, then you might want to upgrade to some better product with more professional formulas. :-) Thanks for watching
I would probably agree with you there. You really do get what you pay for. Hair care is SO important, because if you severely damage it, you can't mend or replace breakage or split ends -- you just have to cut it. :-)
im with ya girl! i used herbal essences when i was little and it was sooo bad on my hair and it smelled great but it was so greasy and adds this gross coating on ur hair. what do u think about Nexxus?
I used Nexxus a long time ago, when my mother used it. I think I was 8 years old, at the time! I haven't used it since. I haven't done any research on it; I know that it's recently been added to a commercial line at drug stores. Have you tried it? Let me know how it is! :)
I used it for about a month and it was actually really good with no residue, it made my hair really healthy, and smelled great. I really like it! You should try it! :)
Thanks for the tip. I wonder why they made it a commercial line to sell in drug stores? Maybe they were losing money? That only scares me because, if they were losing money, they may have changed the formula to be more watered-down, you know? I'll have to get around to looking into it!
I am a HUGE environmentalist -- I major in an Honours Bachelor degree in Environmental Studies -- , but.... I don't like Lush. I have tried their shampoo, and it was completely drying, which is really unfortunate. I have also tried their hair mask, and I am very disappointed. :-(
Aveda is an environmental and salon brand, but I haven't tried it because it's always really expensive. Thanks for the comment!
Is it best to apply regular conditioner before or after you have used your deep conditioner??? ..
Because at my hairsalon they said that you need to use regular conditioner when you are using a deep conditioner. Cause' then it seals the deep conditioner into your hair and that will give the best result.
But i'm just not sure if i should use the regular conditioner before or after?? ;D
Btw: Can you recommend a good conditioner. I have blond middle length hair that is a bit oily. Thanks! :)
Hi! Sorry, I never got back to you! I usually apply reg conditioner before the deep conditioner -- in the shower. I rinse that, and when I'm out of the shower, I apply the deep conditioner and put my hair in a shower cap to seal in the heat from your head (the heat really allows the deep conditioner to penetrate into the strands). Since your hair is oily, you should use a protein-base deep condintioner, and not a moisture-based one. Continued...
I would definitely recommend Strong Sexy Hair Strengthing and Revitalizing Treatment. It's my absolute favourite! It's expensive, but you only need a little bit, and it works well. It's hard to find in my area, but the one salon that I buy it from charges $36 Canadian. You can probably find it online for cheaper, and in American dollars, it's cheaper anyway! Sorry missing your comment before!
Iv been using Redken products for about a month now and im loving them! I started with the Blonde Glam Shampoo conditioner and toner and i really liked them but my hair still need a pick me up. So i went for the Redken All Soft shampoo and conditioner this time and the Soft Ends Leave in Conditioner, and my hair which i thought i was gonna have to chop off looks better then ever. And Redkens products are pretty decently priced at my salon the shampoo is 14 dollars and the conditioner is 16.
Yes, Redken is great! I'm leaving for a field course as part of my undergrad tomorrow, and I'll be there for 11 days. I'm not sure how my hair is going to be, but I just bought some Redken for the trip, because they have a huge variety of products that aren't specific to how you're styling your hair. I bought the one for 'strength'. I'm not sure if it's at all WalMart salons, but the hair salon at my local WalMart had Redken for buy 1, get one 50% off. You should check if you live near one.
A lot of store brands are really waxy, so they're not the best products for your hair. If you don't straighten, blow-dry, or heat-style your hair, AND/OR if you don't dye it, then Garnier or any store brand won't be terrible. If you do heat-style or dye your hair, then the Garnier shampoo should be okay, but I would definitely invest in a good conditioner and a good heat protectant. :-)
Oh yeah, =) - the reason I ask is because a lot of the products are made expensive because they are sulfate-free, good for colored hair, etc. I still want to try them though :)
Hi! Sorry -- I don't think I ever got back to this comment! Probably the cheapest of the brands that I've mentioned is the Bedhead line. I haven't used Bedhead shampoo or conditioner, but i've used their deep conditioner, and it's pretty good. Or really, you can get those giant 1 litre bottles from any of those mentioned brands for pretty cheap, too. Or look for deals at salons -- usually they have some sales where if you buy one, you get another 50% off or something! I hope I helped!
i think ion should be on the list. its available at sally's beauty, howeveri s less expense than salon brands. the therapy masque i use everytime i wash my hair, it makes a huge difference! i recently got two of them for 12$, which is really quite cheap!i prefer it over joicos deep conditioner..
It's actually one of the better non-professional brands. It's not salon quality though, but if you're not doing any heat-styling at all, it shouldn't damage your hair. If you flat iron, blow dry, or heat style your hair daily, though, you should look into more professional brands. :-)
Thanks! I'm glad you liked the video! I know a lot of people who've had so many problems with Pantene. Pantene started a new advertising pitch now to try and get more people back (their campaign about how their products are "salon quality"). I would never ever use it. I had to in the summer -- I fell in a dirty lake and was at a friend's house, and all they had was Pantene, so I had to use it. It made my hair SO gross.
i definitely agree with drugstore brands being crap. the salon brands are the only sure thing to get better quality hair. don't forget to mention that once after dying (especially bleaching) your hair there is NOTHING that will make it as healthy as it naturally was. you can use products to make it softer and shinier, but there is no way you can reverse the damage done. i learned this the hard way, no matter what my hair suffers from breakage, nothing works and now i have to grow it all out
I used Pantene when it first came out and i noticed hair lose from it. when i tell people this who buy it or use it regularly they act like i am lying or something. i have not met anyone yet who says that there hair falls out. this is the first time i have read an agree. i should look up the reviews on it. i think they used to or still do use whale fat in there product.
WHALE FAT?! As a vegetarian, I am very opposed and shocked! I will have to look into that! I've read many reviews online about Pantene being too harsh on hair and causing it to fall out. Tell your friends to research it online; they'll find a lot of people with similar problems!
I really like CHI products, but I've never used a CHI straightener. I like the CHI Keratin Mist leave-in conditioner - it works well, and it's light, so it doesn't weigh the hair down. All of the CHI products work pretty well, I'd say. I've used the shampoo, conditioner, setting spray, iron guard, and leave-in conditioner, and they've all done what they'd promised! I've only never tried the "Silk Infusion", but I've only heard good things about it.
thank u so much for ur time! i have Silk Infusion and it works great but i wasnt shure if its good for my hair because i use to use biosilk silk therapy and my last hairdresser said its pretty bad so i swiched to CHI. oh and one more gue sorry:P my friend loves GARNIER FRUITIS leave in conditioner and i thought i should try it because my ends are really dry and she said that will help me but u said not to get durg store brands so what do u think of GARNIER FRUITIS?
Hey there. Thanks for watching my video! I'm not too sure about the products that are available in Germany. My guess would be to look for Schwarzkopf products, because I'm pretty sure that they are a German brand (or at least a European brand), so they should be available in Germany. They have really good products too! If you go to a salon for your hair, check there for other products -- all professional products are sold in salons.
Refer to 39 seconds in in the video. Buy an inexpensive shampoo, and a more expensive conditioner (that will protect your hair; it can save you money because you'll need less trims). There are some good at-home recipes you can make too that are relatively cheap. I've never tried them, but mayonnaise and egg have a lot of protein, which is good for the hair. Look up on YouTube some of those treatments. :)
actually salon products are the worst. they're packed with chemicals that make hair thinner and more brittle. instead opt for milder, organic hair products. :)

sarahreaume 1 year ago
for people with damage hair use PANTENE INTENSE DAMAGE REPAIR ! they specificlly say its for people who dye their hair and flat iron it and curl it and put to much heat andd basiclly DAMAGED hair . It's like you can still do your styling but cut back on it ( i recomend ) and use the PANTENE INTESE DAMAGE REPAIR. but if i was you i would quit on burning your hair for a while and use the product. FOR EXAMPLE istopped straigting my hair and in about 2months and it grew about 5 1/2 inches :D<33

trueblood22896 1 year ago
@trueblood22896 no that dries out your hair if you have dry brittle damaged hair and i hope that helped also try pantene thats a good brand ive been useing it and its awesom1 :D

I know conditioning is a "big step" in maintaning "healthy" hair. However, isn't sleeping with it in your hair overnight a bit much. I know too much conditioner isn't great either. -Shrugs-
kunfussed213 1 year ago
@kunfussed213 I guess it just depends on how much you're willing to do. I find sleeping with it in does a great job at letting the conditioner soak into my hair folicle.

thanks for posting this. i will leave the conditioner overnight to see what happens. is it good if i use a ceramic iron like ghd everyday???
Ms2010Jackie 1 year ago

HaniAliKhan 2 years ago
actually, people experienced hairloss from pantene because of build-up. its more important to buy a professional shampoo not conditioner because build up can cause scalp problems and hair loss. and ALS is not as harsh as SLS, which is why products containing these tend to build up
fnnygrndm 2 years ago
i find it funny how they said to avoid pantene, herbal essences, and head and shoulders...they're all made by the same company! but i've also had the worst of luck with these.
fnnygrndm 2 years ago

Hi, I have a question..what about Mane N Tail Shampoo and Conditioner. Is that ok to use?
I put olive oil, eggs, and avacodo on my hair once a week. I also don't blow dry it, use much heat, and I've never dyed it.
So would that shampoo and conditioner be ok to use? it has sodium lauryl sulfate, but thats the only harsh thing in there thats it.
holvana13 2 years ago 4
Mane N Tail - I have never heard of this brand. Is it from Sally's or a drug store? I live in Canada, so some products that you have in the U.S. might not be the same as here. The olive oil, eggs, and avacado conditioning sounds great, though! I've done that before, too. It didn't work as well as the conditioners with Keratin in it (the protein that hair is made of), but it was a good treatment!

so on the back of my tresseme conditioner for good things it hass
Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein , Hydrolyzed Silk ,
Hydrolyzed Wheat Starch , Soluble Collagen
r those things good? lol
BrianaBeBam 2 years ago
Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein and Hydrolyzed Silk are definitely good! Tresemme used to be a professional brand, so their reputation is pretty good. The only problem is that when products go to drug stores, a lot of times, there is more water content than content of the other ingredients. We have no way of knowing the amonth of water in these products. If you kept it on for a long time, it should be okay :-) !

I alternate between Redken All Soft and Redken Extreme -- I also use the Redken All Soft Heavy Cream as a deep conditioner once a week as well as the Redken Extreme Anti-Snap Leave in Treatment ... my hair has never been in better condition and I bleach my hair so that's gotta say something for the products, right :o)
xoLUVxoMYxoFIMOxo 2 years ago
Yeah, Redkin is definitely really good! I just got out of the shower and I washed my hair with the Extreme shampoo and conditioner today. It's definitely one of my favourites. I have naturally brown hair, but I highlight it, and it definitely wouldn't be in such great condition if I didn't use good products! Thanks for commenting :-)
sarahreaume 2 years ago
so that means fructis is not good??
babyvnp 2 years ago
I don't want to say it's bad, because a lot of people like it. I used to like it before I switched to salon brands. Now, though, I think if I were to use it, I'd hate it, since I don't like any non-professional shampoos/conditioners. Unless you compare it to professional shampoos, you probably won't notice anything. It does have a lot to do with personal preference, so if you like it, just keep buying it :) Thanks for watching!
sarahreaume 2 years ago
My mom use to be so cheap and all she would get me were Sauve products lol. Professional do cost more, and it seems stuck up but once you use them you do see a biggg difference....I did hear a lot of those drug store brands justs coat the hair and don't actually improve it. However, remember teh drug store does have some great brands...salon brands..like paul mitchell there and nexus.
queenofspades84 2 years ago

ClarinetistViolinist 2 years ago
They're probably not bad to use, because it doesn't have as many of the harmful ingredients in it! Do you use professional conditioner, though? I definitely would!! :)

omg? Im so glad I came upon your video here! Ive been using pantene for quite a while now and I have been loosing a lot of hair! Do you think head and shoulders is better or treseme?? Plz write back! Thanks again <3
P0iz0nxR0z3 2 years ago
Thanks for watching! If you've read some of the other comments, you'll see that Pantene does that to a lot of people with their hair! People have told me that Head and Shoulders is one of the worst shampoos to use because of the amount of wax in it. If you're sticking with drug store brands, Tresemme would be a good choice, or even the got2b brand. I still would def suggest a salon product (3:08). You can get some pretty cheap at some places. Continued....
sarahreaume 2 years ago
I still wouldn't suggest a drug store brand shampoo though, even though some are okay. I was staying some place last night and I had forgotten my hair shampoo and conditioner at home, so I had to use their Sunsilk. I used to like Sunsilk, but that was before I switched to professional brand shampoos. My hair litterally feels ratty, lacks shine, and is dull. I can't believe the difference that a salon brand shampoo makes. I will never use brands like that again. But I hope that I helped! Thanks!

MissTrendyTeen 2 years ago
I've never used Suave, but I wouldn't recommend it. If you don't colour, chemically straighten, flat iron, or blow-dry your hair, I don't really see the need to spend a fortune on good hair. If you do, then you might want to upgrade to some better product with more professional formulas. :-) Thanks for watching
sarahreaume 2 years ago
suave is cheap but its one of the worst ones to buy ever.
marianneroxurworld 2 years ago
I would probably agree with you there. You really do get what you pay for. Hair care is SO important, because if you severely damage it, you can't mend or replace breakage or split ends -- you just have to cut it. :-)

im with ya girl! i used herbal essences when i was little and it was sooo bad on my hair and it smelled great but it was so greasy and adds this gross coating on ur hair. what do u think about Nexxus?
MereMere32 2 years ago
I used Nexxus a long time ago, when my mother used it. I think I was 8 years old, at the time! I haven't used it since. I haven't done any research on it; I know that it's recently been added to a commercial line at drug stores. Have you tried it? Let me know how it is! :)
sarahreaume 2 years ago
I used it for about a month and it was actually really good with no residue, it made my hair really healthy, and smelled great. I really like it! You should try it! :)
MereMere32 2 years ago
Thanks for the tip. I wonder why they made it a commercial line to sell in drug stores? Maybe they were losing money? That only scares me because, if they were losing money, they may have changed the formula to be more watered-down, you know? I'll have to get around to looking into it!

Thanks! :)
Kirstine123 2 years ago
Continued...
sarahreaume 2 years ago
I would definitely recommend Strong Sexy Hair Strengthing and Revitalizing Treatment. It's my absolute favourite! It's expensive, but you only need a little bit, and it works well. It's hard to find in my area, but the one salon that I buy it from charges $36 Canadian. You can probably find it online for cheaper, and in American dollars, it's cheaper anyway! Sorry missing your comment before!
sarahreaume 2 years ago
Iv been using Redken products for about a month now and im loving them! I started with the Blonde Glam Shampoo conditioner and toner and i really liked them but my hair still need a pick me up. So i went for the Redken All Soft shampoo and conditioner this time and the Soft Ends Leave in Conditioner, and my hair which i thought i was gonna have to chop off looks better then ever. And Redkens products are pretty decently priced at my salon the shampoo is 14 dollars and the conditioner is 16.
canadianskaterskick 2 years ago
Yes, Redken is great! I'm leaving for a field course as part of my undergrad tomorrow, and I'll be there for 11 days. I'm not sure how my hair is going to be, but I just bought some Redken for the trip, because they have a huge variety of products that aren't specific to how you're styling your hair. I bought the one for 'strength'. I'm not sure if it's at all WalMart salons, but the hair salon at my local WalMart had Redken for buy 1, get one 50% off. You should check if you live near one.
sarahreaume 2 years ago
ah, really?
I don't wanna beleive half the stufff.
is garnier okay?
AllegraaaXD 2 years ago
A lot of store brands are really waxy, so they're not the best products for your hair. If you don't straighten, blow-dry, or heat-style your hair, AND/OR if you don't dye it, then Garnier or any store brand won't be terrible. If you do heat-style or dye your hair, then the Garnier shampoo should be okay, but I would definitely invest in a good conditioner and a good heat protectant. :-)
sarahreaume 2 years ago
Oh yeah, =) - the reason I ask is because a lot of the products are made expensive because they are sulfate-free, good for colored hair, etc. I still want to try them though :)
SourCandy24x 2 years ago
Hey =] Great Video! 5 stars!
I don't really put put any damaging products in my hair. I never colored it. I don't have some extreme heat applied to it.
Would you really recommend tresemme products for me?
or
Which one do you think is of best value? (of the products you mention) Which ones do you think is just fine for uncolored/untreated hair?
Thanks!
SourCandy24x 2 years ago
I hope I helped!
sarahreaume 2 years ago
i think ion should be on the list. its available at sally's beauty, howeveri s less expense than salon brands. the therapy masque i use everytime i wash my hair, it makes a huge difference! i recently got two of them for 12$, which is really quite cheap!i prefer it over joicos deep conditioner..
Darkshadow5156 3 years ago
I've never tried it, but thanks for the tip :-)
sarahreaume 3 years ago
It's actually one of the better non-professional brands. It's not salon quality though, but if you're not doing any heat-styling at all, it shouldn't damage your hair. If you flat iron, blow dry, or heat style your hair daily, though, you should look into more professional brands. :-)

GREAT VIDEO!
I ve had problems with my hair using pantene also ( breaking and falling out )
Yet i have friends whom love the staff and havent had problems.
Im investing in hair products from hair salons now. I once had beautiful hair. SAD to see it in such bad shape.
I think its worth investing in same great hair products. Besides your hair says alot about a person.
KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING! GREAT JOB
RatherDevine08 3 years ago
It made my hair SO gross.
sarahreaume 3 years ago
i definitely agree with drugstore brands being crap. the salon brands are the only sure thing to get better quality hair. don't forget to mention that once after dying (especially bleaching) your hair there is NOTHING that will make it as healthy as it naturally was. you can use products to make it softer and shinier, but there is no way you can reverse the damage done. i learned this the hard way, no matter what my hair suffers from breakage, nothing works and now i have to grow it all out
firstchoicekiller 3 years ago
so panteen shampoo is bad?
musicindisguise 3 years ago
I used Pantene when it first came out and i noticed hair lose from it. when i tell people this who buy it or use it regularly they act like i am lying or something. i have not met anyone yet who says that there hair falls out. this is the first time i have read an agree. i should look up the reviews on it. i think they used to or still do use whale fat in there product.
tomssunshine2007 3 years ago
WHALE FAT?! As a vegetarian, I am very opposed and shocked! I will have to look into that! I've read many reviews online about Pantene being too harsh on hair and causing it to fall out. Tell your friends to research it online; they'll find a lot of people with similar problems!

what do u think about CHI?
wwagniww 3 years ago
I really like CHI products, but I've never used a CHI straightener. I like the CHI Keratin Mist leave-in conditioner - it works well, and it's light, so it doesn't weigh the hair down. All of the CHI products work pretty well, I'd say. I've used the shampoo, conditioner, setting spray, iron guard, and leave-in conditioner, and they've all done what they'd promised! I've only never tried the "Silk Infusion", but I've only heard good things about it.
sarahreaume 3 years ago

great vid..could u show more prof. products? cos most of the prods u showed r not available in germany...thx :)
greendruidess 3 years ago
Hey there. Thanks for watching my video! I'm not too sure about the products that are available in Germany. My guess would be to look for Schwarzkopf products, because I'm pretty sure that they are a German brand (or at least a European brand), so they should be available in Germany. They have really good products too! If you go to a salon for your hair, check there for other products -- all professional products are sold in salons.
sarahreaume 3 years ago
what about those of us who can't afford those expensive products?
sunkisdblondie13 3 years ago
Refer to 39 seconds in in the video. Buy an inexpensive shampoo, and a more expensive conditioner (that will protect your hair; it can save you money because you'll need less trims). There are some good at-home recipes you can make too that are relatively cheap. I've never tried them, but mayonnaise and egg have a lot of protein, which is good for the hair. Look up on YouTube some of those treatments. :)
