haha i went to the premeir in LA for this documentary and it was so good. After Youth Brigade, and 7 seconds played it was sick. I also met the guitarist from social distortion and singer from TSOL and bunch of other people. It was epic

he was totally sober and told me "WHy didn't you tell me he was a cop" him getting his ass kick probably saved Mikes set cuz it sobered him up..LOL. I worked at Godzillas which was a BYO club in the valley and the Sterns accually paid me good and I didn't have to go chase them down to get paid. they were straight up with me and all the bands the palyed there. So hats off to the Sterns keep carrying the torch. the "Someone got their head kicked off" tour shirt is still one of the best designs.

The Stern Bros are legit. BYO=Better Youth Organization was just that at a time whne alot of the punk bands were getting short changed but club owners the Sterns start doing shows. I worked for them as a bouncer at many shows including the Hollywood paladium with Social Distortion when Mike Ness got his ass kicked by the undercover policeman....it was funny as shit...he was so drunk and I kept telling him it was a undercover cop...but Mike would listen after he got his ass kicked

Youth Brigade was a big part of keeping the "punk/hardcore" scene(?) alive back in the early '80's. It seemed as though BYO was always involved in gigs, records, etc. Thank god for the Stern Bros
