  • Love it

  • this video has the song in a lower key for some reason... i like it better though

  • well the moves r a bit weird but i see the poin of the choreography

  • Tellement beau, les décors, la choré, la musique, oh je m'en lasse pas

  • the music look like an arabic-orient song or music

  • ishq par zor nahi...hai yeh woh atish ghalib =)

  • not only does this song rock, but the picturization is awesome too

  • this is the stunning song manisha looks so attractive

  • this is the stunning song manisha looks so attractive

  • One of my all time hindi fav song, stunningly shot, terrific music by Rehman and romantic voice of Sonu nigam...

  • It's one of the best movies that we have had in times. The intensity of this movie lies in how it is so complex at times yet so simple. The darker side of love has never been so tempting like in this movie.

  • i.. freaking love is song....so damn much!!

  • Amazing song..reminds me of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khans mystical qawwalis.. perfectly complimented by the gorgeous Ladakh scenery in Jammu Kashmir. Perfect

  • Any one who doesnt understand the lyrics of the songs in this movie is missing a lot....subtitles just cannot do justice to the power of the words being used here...Hands down A r Rehmaan, gulzaar sahab, and farah khans best work..

  • There is an interesting interplay of the elements - earth, fire, wind and water. Beautiful choreography. I think this is Farah Khan's best work.

  • This not A R Rahman song

The song was sunf by Sonu Nigam

All he Rahman did was the soundtrack

people give him to much credit

he is not that gid but I agree he is very ugly. Only his soundtracks are good.

  • @Light48 uhmmm a r rehman did the music for the song and thats what people are saying. a r rehman is a legend of music

all sonu nigam has is a god given voice that is used to the fullest by rehman...rehma is a genius.

  • I personally think its A R Rahman best music. He shows his class at 3:04

  • Love the part at 4:45

  • good quality ....

  • I love how sensual and exotic this song is...has a touch of middle eastern influence to it (might have to do with the islamic culture in India)

  • Satanic Song

Type:Satrangi Re Subliminal message in hind song, bollywood

    plZ watch out

  • @NWOSayno You believe most things you see on the internet, don't you? This song is just a man talking about the woman he is attracted to.

  • @SundaraKapasalathi

Yeah? thats what I said its not just about lyrics but also about the video and dance

    When collaborated they are Satanic

  • @NWOSayno Howso? Explain.

  • @SundaraKapasalathi

I think the video is self explanotary

  • @NWOSayno Not very. I don't see any satanism. And it's spelled "explanatory".

  • Monisha koirala's dance at the beginning was pretty amazing....actually I really liked the way it was choreographed...

  • Sonu Nigam - FLAWLESS! No one else could have done Satrangi Re so amazingly!

  • I love this song....

  • TOUCHABLE

  • one of the best songs in the bollywood industry- music, singing, choreography and direction wise! amazing! one of my all time favs!

  • by the way, what's the meaning of 'satrangi'' ?

  • @JomaKi22 literal meaning in 7 colours. its symbolizes the 7 shades of love pointed out by unitedopinions in the highest rated comments section

  • SRK=MAGIC

  • love the music

  • I Like This Long

  • one of the best one out there...

  • Ishq per zor nahi hai ye woh aatish ghalib, jo lagaye na lagay aur bujhaye na bujhe..... its the most powerful phrase i have ever heard.

  • Dil se is the best bollywood soundtrack ever!

  • sonu nigam is the best.

  • I get goosebumps every time I hear the "ishq baar..." line from 1:26- 1:46.

    A.R REHMAN, you've done it again :)

  • Listening to this song sends shivers down my spine. There is so much pain, so much honesty in the vocals. The lyrics, the voice, the feel...everything about this song is absolutely matchless. One of the masterpieces to be created in Bollywood music industry. Three cheers for Sonu.

  • my favorite song....can watch many many times

  • She looks like Pakistani vj syra khan

  • This reminds me of a girl I know haha.

  • this song starts to rock at 4:00

  • The genius A.R. Rahman at one of his finests! Hats off to Sonu Nigam too.

  • maihsa ,never loved her but in this song...........superb!just no words.

  • 'Satrangi Re' and 'Suraj Hua Madham' are the most beautiful and touching song sequences ever done in Hindi cinema! They also both feature Shahrukh, what a coincidence!

  • Nepal's beauty- Manish koirala... super...she luks beautiful... not a fan of the video, love the song tho... n

  • Awesome quality!!!!!!!!!

  • Simply awesome !!!

  • wt a walk ! at 3:55 to 4:00

  • who's the choreographer? i guess farah khan, she did chhaiya chhaiya and jiya jale..... hats off 2 her sp 4 dis. this is 1 of my most fav songs the unbeatable 3 combined-rahman, sonu, srk-my most favs.

  • the genius AR Rehman recorded this Song 3 times by different singers Sonu, Sukhwinder n sum1 else....but offcourse Sonu Nigam's version he selected to be in the film.....SONU is obsolute genius the way he sung the song is unbeatable thts a challenge...

  • lovin it...lovin it...even without translation

  • ar rahman and sonu niggam the best combination

  • Teri Rahon Mein Uljha Uljha Hoon Teri Banhon Mein Uljha Uljha Suljhane De Hosh Mujhe Teri ''Chahon'' Mein Uljha Hoon

  • Where are they in the scene where she's in green? It looks like a Buddhist monastery. So beautiful.

  • @Ceibhfhionn

The scene is shot in Ladakh which is one of the three regions of India's most Northernmost State of Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of the few remaining abodes of Buddhism in South Asia, hence the Buddhist monastery.

  • @tibichiklolo hehehehe, i think he does it on purpose!

  • I gush a lot about Manisha, but myself and others don't say enough about how great a dancer she is.

What style is she dancing in this song, does anyone know?

  • totally mesmeric n suufi .... luv all d songs in dis movie..

  • This song is so much about Cinematographer Santosh Sivan and Director Mani Ratnam that push the envelope every time they go out there. There is no other bollywood director that can make India look so beautiful. They w'd run away to switzerland or SFO or London or NY on the first opportunity.

  • music is just epic, right from the beginning till the end, I hope India would keep on developing their own music culture history and values, as most of the world today is becoming monotonic ie just westerner :( we need diversification and its only possible if we all keep on developing our own values, world would have more to learn and share then I guess

  • over all POWERFUL. the music, the lyrics, the grace of their moves...i love this movie, it blew my mind away

  • Yeah the quality is lost somewhere...

Haha, I sigh when I see songs with titles like "zara zara touch me touch me" come in top 20s in music. I sigh, I sigh, I sigh.

  • This song actually mentions the stages of love, which come from arabic...: hub, uns, ishq, aquidat, ibadaat, junoon, maut........BACK THEN, up till the 90s, the music actually had some meaning , and there was still symbolism alive...unlike today! where you get "o mere kajooooooooooooooor" lol

  • @spanishiscool the seven stages of love? its a dielectic the notion of stage is an introspective form without menaing is this not the very notion i.e love tat you look for?

  • I love the movie- and the songs are pretty symbolic to the message. I think that its my favorite bollywood film ;D

  • WOW hindi movies used to be so good! the music, the directing, the stories, everything! i miss movies like dil se, rangeela, bombay, and taal- shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit

  • Just Search Round the World you will never find Like A R Rahman (indian Musik Director) and Amir Jan Saboori ( Afghani Musik Director) and u will never find Suno Nigam (Indian Singer) and you Will never Find Farhad Darya (Afghan Siger)

  • Sorry but the directors of the golden age of Bollywood cinema - the likes of Shankar-Jaikishan, Naushad, OP Nayyar, etc. - blow today's music directors out of the water. They had talent and ability to compose some of the sweetest melodies, brought to life by the most talented singers like Mukesh, Rafi, Lata, etc.

No disrespect, I still love some of the likes of AR Rahman, singers like Nigam, so on, but they are below the aforementioned on my list.

  • Even though i literally learn of Sonu Nigam and AR Rahman, i tottally agree with you. . .although there are very few singers like Sonu Today. . .

  • 1:50 to 1:52 fabulous depiction of UNS great direction

  • Dil Se has some of the most stunning dance choreography and music I have ever seen in a film. It really is a work of art. Gorgeous and complex!

  • absolutely!! :)

  • Man, she changes outfits like nine times in this vid! Amarkanth only changes like twice, but his OCD persistence is dang impressive. Pretty good parallel to what happens in the movie.

  • oh the colorful one :]

    beautiful. the music is othbooth.

  • I love the poetry in this song. So beautiful.

  • yes a.r. rahman is really a genius! this song is amazing

  • hi not ar rahman but sonu nigam

  • Eshq par zor nahi hai yeh woh Atish Ghalib, Jo lagye nah lagay aur bujhaye nah bujhay!

    Love it.

  • bujhaye na bane!

  • gr8 lyrics ...

  • Sonu is superb

  • Dil se talks about 7 shades of love - Hub (Attraction), Uns (Infatuation), Ishq (Love), Aqidat (Reverence), Ibadat (Worship), Junoon (Obsession) and Maut (Death). I feel that this song and its video very prominently shows the death side of love very effectively.

  • @unitedopinions :- Hello Buddy, How do you know about this ?

  • @SatpalSingh0884

Hello mate. I'm a very keen follower of Rahman and quite a fan of Maniratnam too. Whenever these 2 have come together they've created magic. When 'Dil Se' had come out, I used to watch the promos again and again and I had even went through their official website at that time. Even now if you google '7 shades of love' you should find the material on some site.

  • @unitedopinions ,.....very true......excellently explained..........God bless u.....

  • @unitedopinions it also talks about JEHAD aka TERRORISM! fuck your crap!

  • @carolinaindian Really? :D You're funny.

  • Really? :D You're funny!

  • @unitedopinions what's the source for this?Is it some poet's poem?

  • @manimgoindowndown This is what the movie is all about. If you remember the initial promos of the movie, these words used to get displayed on the screen while the song 'Dil se re' was being played: Hub, Uns, Ishq, Aqidat, Ibadat, Junoon, Maut, Dil Se... I had read this back then on the official website of the movie. I think you can still find the same material on some other websites that must have taken it from the official website, if you search for '7 shades of love'.

  • sonu niigaam is awesome

  • that is Manisha Koiral :/

  • Stages of love: Hub, Uns, Ishq, Aquidat, Ibaadat, Junoon, and Maut (attraction, infatuation, love, reverence, worship, obsession, and death

  • LOVE THIS SONG!

I danced to at my school and people loved it!

It's music is amazing with a gloomy feeling.
