how come at schools abroad even with former thai nationals who were champions them self , fail to teach the full array -ensemble of very needed and valuable techniques .. why are we being cheated out of these superior and advanced neck fighting moves ?
its time for the greco roman wrestlers to step forwared and lead the way and learn the most.
G-R has and advantage that is very similar to thai clench and g-r now needs to excell and lead the way . yes
@manberry it's instructional,we do it with sparring gloves and MMA gloves also.I really believe slow and steady is the way to start a drill before you bring in power and velocity.
Setting up the clinch with pushing and different knees. Grappling with knees and elbows. Basic straight punches and low kicks are good too. Footwork is important too, as well as increasing the tempo and keeping it.
Great clinching style, I would have threw a few more things in, this guy knows his stuff. Wouldn't like to get in a fight with him. If you get someone in a clinch and you know what you're doing and they don't, you can seriously mess them up.
@Carnuss Thankyou:) I beleive that clinching is the most ignored part of modern muay thai training,as most schools practice half plum and full plum without all the details of upperbody wrestling. While in Thailand,i was amzed at how many rounds the thai's would just wrestle.
whats the easiest way to drop someone in clinching
