  • wow!

  • they dock pembrokes tails so they are more uniform.pems can be born anywhere from naturally docked to a full tail(also makes them easier to tell apart from cardigans)

  • The ears are not docked jeeesus!!!They are just so young that they aren't up yet. Our Pembroke was almost 5 months before both his ears was up AND pembrokes can be born without tail, a half tail or long tail. In Denmark we don't dock the tails. it's not legal, but in the old days it was neccessary for the working herding dogs otherwise they would get hurt with their long tails...

  • lol corgis look so much more proportionate when they're puppies than when they're older!

  • besides docking tails, many corgis (and dogs in general) come with short tail, or no tail AT ALL - so think twice before you start bitching around!

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I want one :(

  • They look like little cows >w<

  • i love the jumper!

  • OMG I CAN'T EVEN.

    -dies of cuteness-

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • omg the cuuuteness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Oh, It doesn't hurt the dogs" I don't care. Lets cut off half your ear and see how you like it. The practice of tail docking is completely pointless. "Lets cut a body part off of this helpless dog, just cause it looks cute"

  • @SheenaBrnai

actually it isn't pointless, long ears make it more likely to trap in moisture and get infections hence docking the ears. Docking the tails is more of a tradition from what I know for most work and guard dogs so that the tails don't get stepped on and broken.

if you're going to comment on a subject like this, you should at least look into it a bit.

  • i hate when people cut dogs tails its just wrong and i dont see how in any way it helps the aesthetic of a dog it ruins it

  • @estephstar Do you know what the word "opinion" means? Of course not, you're a moron.

  • @estephstar whether or not docking puppy's tails is ethical or not, is not what I'm going to argue. However the reasons behind docking a corgi's tail has nothing to do with the aesthetics of the dog. Corgis are a working breed, bred to herd cows. When the longer tail corgis would herd cows, their tails would be stepped on by cows and become shamed and broken. So the farmers would doc their tails for the safety of the dog. Docking is done when the puppies are very small and will not remember.

youtube: Dogs 101 Corgi part 1 and go to 2:02...BAM

  • I dont have a Tail!!!!! and last time I checked...I'm a corgi!!!!!!

  • A good number of Pembroke Welsh Corgis are born without tails, but the breed standard calls to dock the ones that do have tails. My puppy's litter had 3 with tails and 3 without naturally.

  • Fishing.

  • Ohh man I'd love to have one of them!

  • Oh man, I remember when our corgi puppies used to love chasing the mop. Now they fear it!

  • this is a good test to gauge the puppies' personalities and temperaments. I want the one that just sits there most of the time. :D

  • Do Corgis look like that when they're puppies? Because they totally don't look like how they do when they grow up.

  • @ladypyramidhead The do go through quite a transformation. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are born with long tails that are docked when they are still wee little things and they are born with floppy ears that perk up when they get older. Red and white PWCs look like all their red hairs are tipped with gray giving them an almost sable color but they eventually grow out of that as well.

  • THOSE ARE PUPPIES!

  • aaw

  • He owns who I am. fyl

  • Is that the Ugodog in the background?

I was thinking of getting one but not sure if it works.

    I have a 13-week Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

  • d..d... did you dock the cardigan corgi's tails?!?!? or are those rare coated pembroke corgis?

  • @mirioticdbsktvxq1321 maybe their a cross between a Cardi and a Pembroke and they just happened to get the Pembroke tail?

  • @wintermoons1215 All dogs are born with tails. They probably just decided to get them docked.

  • @mirioticdbsktvxq1321

some are bred to have no tails. no worries! :]

  • @mirioticdbsktvxq1321 Some Pembroke tri-colors actually are dual-colored (black and white).

  • @mirioticdbsktvxq1321 Docking isn't that big a deal imo.

  • @mirioticdbsktvxq1321

They're Pembroke Tricolor corgis. They're not rare, and many Pembroke puppies start with their ears down, and they'll perk up as they get older.

  • @mirioticdbsktvxq1321 those are definitely Pembrokes.

  • awwe!
