The move in date for the new high school has been set for January 19, 2011. Nearly 5 years after it was destroyed. Can we expect to see Topix return to showcase the new school? The town could use your support!
I live like 5 minutes from Caruthersville. They had to use our football field for their home games. They are finally beginning to rebuild the high school. They are still using the Fema trailers. And they pronouced Pemiscot wrong in the video!
Yep, I go to the trailers right now.. will return Monday. Ha. It's not as bad now, we're kinda used to it.. but we are also looking forward to (hopefully) having a new school next year. (:
I know what these kids are going through i was in caruthersville three days after the tornado to help my aunt, uncles, and their kids salvage what was left of there homes. I walked through the streets in the aftermath and all i can really say to describe it is.... hellish. this video is right on the money, the students are still doing classes in the fema trailers to this day.
