  • Im getting my pointe shoes Monday!!! ITS FRIDAY!! :DDDDDDDD <333333333

  • yo those shoes are perfect on her its crazy! nice feet lolz

  • Her feet are gorgeous. I'm a little jealous- mine are short and fat. :p

  • AHHHHHH IM GETTING MY SHOES TOM. IM SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!

  • Ohemgee!!! I cant wait im getting impatient...

  • I only have to wait till Saturday!

  • all of you are lucky i have to wait until fall

  • My pinky toe naturally curls under the toe next to it and my feet are really narrow. Would I need soemthing like a toe separater to fix it?

  • @crabbycakes9000 yes, spacers/separators would fix your over lapping toe

  • Pointe shoes are SO erotic.....

  • i'm beginning pointe soon and i dont think im gonna need padding. should i get them though?

  • if you don't think you should get padding, you should get some cheap padding, just incase you need it. you could even opt out of padding, and just use cotton balls, or paper towels

  • you should get it if you are just beginning....

  • Probably; it will help in the beginning to get used to being en pointe and maintaining balance. It all depends on what your teacher thinks though :)

  • yes you will or else your feet will rub on the box and you will have a lot of pressure on your toes and things poking u

  • my pads are cloth on the outside and gel on the inside its pretty effing cool!!!!!!! lol

  • my dance teacher comes with us to get pointe

  • me 2

  • gel pads are so kewl!

    i love my purple ones!

  • are they comftorble?

  • yes they are:)

  • if i were trying on shoes and i didn't have socks what would happen

  • i dont think u try them on with socks..they give u this nylon sock.

  • and do you have to wear them

  • to try on the shoe yea.

  • one more thing do you have to wear them on both feet

  • also do you put them on yourself or does some one put them on for you

  • yea u have to wear them on both feet and u put it on urself i've never tried on pointe shoes but i had to try my dance slippers for dance and its just like a really thin nylon sock

  • do you think you can make a video of you trying on dance slippers so i get the idea of the nylon sock

  • well i can take a picture of the sock for u cuz i think i still have them

  • make a small video of you jus puttin them on can ya do that

  • yup.i'll put it on my profile tommorow

  • did you put the video up yet

  • This video is too blurry and over-exposed to really see anything, and no ballet terminology is used - the lady just says "here and here" which isn't very helpful.

  • it took me 2 hours to find the correct pointe shoes. i got the bloch european balance! I love them to death!

  • i'm getting new ones tomarrow and i am SOOOOO FREAKING EXITED!!!!

  • information - 10/10

    quality of picture - 2/10

    it wasnt really clear

  • It's important for the dancer to actually go up in the shoes, not just pointe with one foot while standing flat on the other.

  • I'm sure they didn't have time to do everything in the video.

  • mine took like 45 minute and most of that was me chosing between to different shoes. and the ones that i bought were the first pair the lady chose for me first.

  • Yes, some fitters are amazing and can just look at your foot and see what will fit. :)

  • Mine was exactly like that! Sadly the correct size has to be ordered so I didn't walk out with them immediately!

  • There's more out there for padding than thick gel or nothing.

  • i took 4 hours to buy a pointe shoes!

  • Do you think they really have 4 hrs for a video? I'm sure the shoe was found beforehand so they didn't have to go through the entire process on video. You people need to think.

  • Point shoe fittings will vary for each individual.

  • a pionte shoe fitting doesnt take just 5 minutes mine took like 3 hours

  • Clearly they don't have 3 hrs for a video- I'm sure they found one that fit ahead of time so they didn't have to go through the whole process due to video time. Duh, think about it.

  • Thanks Melanie!

  • They make special thread now, u can get it in most dance supply stores, its made for pointe shoes so its really strong. (and watch lisahowell2 video's they are really useful)

  • Veronicapurple-

Many people do prefer to use dental floss due to it being stronger than regular thread. It is personal preference though. The best thing is to ask your teacher what they suggest.

    Mel

  • @PamposDance I have never heard that before. I just buy the little kit thing with the pink thread. That thread comes in handy for EVERYTHING.

  • Thanks so much! Very helpful! I was told to sew the ribbons on with dental floss.. do you recommend that??

    Thanks again!

  • I love it

  • Cool, Some what helpful.
