  • SEARCH FOR TheCriticFan and find a channel of this show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I miss this show

  • we left kevin home alone....and he's only 23!

  • The difference between Family Guy and this show is that the jokes are actually relevant to the plot.

  • How did I miss this?!?!?!? I never heard of this show, but it looks great! Now I have to re-educate myself :)

  • sorry that's not Kosha OR ILL EAT YOU UP ILL EAT YOU ALL UP.

Acording to the Nostalia Critic omitor i give it ZERO (cold shivers)

  • Screw family guy... the Critic will not be disrespected like that!

  • IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS! IT STINKS!

  • @smittybang Yes Smittybang, everything stinks...

  • This show was waaaay ahead of its time!

  • The Critic had a very similar format and style to Family Guy - but the content was way way superior.

  • "Eat lead Rabbi!"

    "Sorry, that's not kosha!"

    *click-click BOOM*

    So freaking epic!

  • The only similarity to Family Guy is that they ripped off this show as well as the Simpsons. I'd say this is much more comparable to Animaniacs for adults.

  • JON LOVITZ WILL PLAY PENGIN! SEE DETAILS! NO BS! youtube.com/watch?v=XRvga8VejTE

  • "Hava Nagila...baby!!"

  • I would LOVE to see Rabbi, P.I.

  • the alien parody was stolen by the simpsons in that episode with sarah silverman. at least the critic managed to bow out gracefully before their show became shit (sorry, it happens to every show)

  • @roddersnextaccount this character was in the simpsons so it's ok lol

  • Al Jean was in my fantasy baseball league!

  • Oh, dradle, dradle, dradle. I made you out of clay XD!!!

  • This actually made me laugh... any one think the Nostalgia critic is aware of this show?

  • The Critic used an overbearing amount of pop-culture references but that's because the theme of the show was to poke fun at Hollywood's recycling of unoriginal ideas. It also did the cutaway gag thing way before Family Guy and did it while maintaining a better sense of coherence.

  • yeah its similar to family guy but the latter is much better..

  • Family guy started in 98', this started in 94'. Don't you DARE compare this godly made show to that pile of fart jokes.

  • @Gammerman12 Encore!

  • I need to see this Arnold movie!!!

  • I think the undercover rabbi would be an awesome movie.

  • awesome

  • DINA RIGBY IS FUCKIN' DEAD!!!

    amazon.com/Dish-Served-Tales-Revenge-ebook/dp/B004W82MCK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1311707526&sr=8-1

  • Back when TV and Movies were good AT THE SAME TIME

  • Man I miss this show. I remember they tried to make it into a web series at one point, but then that died too sadly...:(

  • ¡APESTA!

  • Loved this show, I guess too weird for the masses.

  • Rabbi PI...lol

  • dwadl dwadl dwadl i made u out of clay! lmao

  • One of my favorite lines goes as follows; "Jay: I want a peace of meat. Turkey: You want a piece of meat, fat boy? I'll spork your ass!" FUNNY!

  • @joshuabrooks21 OMG! I tell people "I'll spork your ass, man!" all the time. No one ever gets it. lol

  • 0:05 Hey, the Simpsons stole that joke!

  • worst character ever. the film festival episode was the crapist Simpson episode of classical Simpsons.

  • Does anybody know the episode where Cher curses out Jay? Thanks. :)

  • My cousins a movie critic and looks just like him.

  • @87kittygirl There was a teacher at my old high school that I still maintain to this day could have passed for a live action Jay as well. lol.

  • jay did it before seth

    love the crossover episode

  • This guy seems familiar, along with the voice.

  • I miss this damn show!

  • hahaha ! After Simpsons is the best comedy tv show.

  • I don't even know how people could compare this to Family Guy. For one, this came out years before the show was even fully realized in Seth's head, not to mention the complete difference in their styles. True, Critic had something like cutaways, but they were always the same topic (something movie related) where Family Guy will just throw whatever is amusing at the moment (or not, depending on how much you like their dark sense of humor).

While I do like Family Guy, Critic will always be best

  • these are the only scenes i remember from this show...

  • That looks like me when I was 23

  • A parody to Family Guy and not to mention they had an ep where The Critic was ON Simpsons.

  • Thumbs up if Simpsons led you here.

  • "Arnold's not coming, you made him cry"

  • Rabbi P.I coming February 2011

    I wish......

  • video was uploaded in '07. I believe he's comparing it to OLD family guy which was miles better than it is now.

  • lol eat lead rabi, sorry that not coshier. lol

  • OMG We left kevin home alone and he's only 23!! lol i laughed from that, awesome.

  • the xenomorphs dont have eyes

  • Think about all the parodies they could do with TODAYS movies.

  • @TheCoalescent or u can watch the crap they make all the time........ scary movie, date movie, epic bullshit.... meet the Spartans....

  • @cradleofdeath123

That The Critic could make parodies off.

GOD there is a big difference

  • @SlipAllCityToy okay....

  • @TheCoalescent all the more reason the bring it back.

  • Never compare this to Family Guy ever again. It's better in every way.

  • @cubs2084

    You're right,

The Critic had actual characters, script, theme and shape of a show.

Family Guy has neither, so you're right, it's a insult to the The Critic even be compared with that sh-t.

Can't believe someone actually followed a entire clip-show for 9 seasons, that's what Family Guy is..

  • @cubs2084 wich one

  • @cubs2084 In your opinion...

  • Wow i havent watched this show in so long it is similar to Family guy's first 3 Seasons, but of course this show came first and family guy is now crap

  • It's scary how this tv show predicted Alien:Resurrection.

  • sry, thats not kosher

  • reminds me of robot chicken, actually :)

  • They should have made that Schwarzenegger movie...

  • wtf did i just watch!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ava Nagilla, Baby

  • @5dmc1 LOL, I'd see that!

  • If two shows were left on TV, and it was between The Critic and Family Guy, I'd kick Seth Mcfarlene in the nuts and watch The Critic.

  • @ChaosUnown Should get the kids from the school of preforming arts to do the nutcracker suite :D

  • I definitely see similarities to Family Guy in the movie parodies. The rest seems to be more like The Simpsons.

  • @Ajapam34 They used the main character of The Critic on the Simpsons, he made a full guest appearance and then at least one cameo after that. Matt Groening asked his name to be taken off the episode in question partly because he thought people might think he had something to do with the show.

  • LOL That's not Kosher! This is such a funny and original show, unlike many shows today. Lovitz did an awesome job with Shermans voice too\!

  • Hava nagila.. baby :D

  • You know what? They should keep this show! Or revive it! I mean, it could be about what's on TV or what movies are out, etc. I quote Siskel and Ebert "Focus on the movies!". I mean, the same company that made the Simpsons also made this show. I mean, think about it, two shows from the same company: One focusing on a dysfunctional family (Simpsons), and one focusing on the media (Critic). That would be nice! But Family Guy focuses on both, which doesn't seem right to me. =(

  • @SiLvRChaoS This was before Family Guy.

  • @SiLvRChaoS

The critic : first broadcast on ABC in 1994

Family Guy : MacFarlane initially conceived Family Guy in 1995

Family guy was not even conceived when the Critic was on TV.

    You're an idiot.

  • The Alien parody appeared again in a recent simpsons episode in that kissing montage

    great show

  • The funny thing about Arnold playing a jew is that he's German. XD

  • @slashermaster28 actually he's Austrian ;-)

  • 23! AHHH!

  • the draidel song made my day XD

  • why oh why was it cancelled T_T

  • The home alone scene was a great classical scene in my childhood.

  • That dradiel song is from South park, the movie!

  • @madcat789 Well, it's actually a real song, you know?

  • @madcat789 which came out in 1999....not 1994, plus thats a real song

  • @madcat789 are you so oblivious that you think southpark created the Dreidel Song?

  • I remember this show! I used to love this.

  • "On closer inspection... these are loafers"

  • @TheWorstMoviesEver No, I understood. How is that plagiarism?

  • Yes, Mr. Sherman, everything stinks.

  • @TheWorstMoviesEver

Two writers from The Simpsons also wrote for this show, so I wouldn't call it plagiarism but more of a collaboration of ideas.

  • I just found these clips and they are Awesome!

  • It's actually not the rabbis who circumcise children, but the mohels. Doesn't detract from this being one of the greatest moments in television history.

  • MY REVIEWS RANTS AND CRITICS ARE BETTER

  • lmao i miss the critic and john lovitz :(

  • u owe me 1:09 back

  • I would watch all of these movies.

  • Hotchie Motchie!

  • I'm so pissed this show was cancelled. Nowadays people wouldn't know great tv if it bit them in the ass!. All I can say is thank god for the dvd box set. The first time I watched this show I almost wet myself laughing.

  • I loved the episode in the simpsons where the critic guest starred.

  • oh DRADDEL DRADDEL DRADDEL OVE MEED JO AT OFF CLEEH!

  • Clicked the Soccer Ball at 1:00.

  • Oh dear god, this is awesome.

  • The Critic proves that you can be funny without insulting religion every 5 seconds.

  • @117ty It sure does!

  • Family Guy is very underrated. The latter episodes provide some actual intelligent comedy. I wouldn't say its anywhere near as intelligent and brilliant as The Critic, because that is sheer idiocy, but show itself has improved itself, and to deny such is illogically going on the presumptions of others.

  • Don't even compare this show with shitty Family Guy.

  • Are there full episodes of this?

  • This kicks family guy straight in the balls

Even since its been cancelled since i was little.

  • Why do you guys even compare The Critic to Family Guy? The two shows have little in common, and you should appreciate The Critic for what it was by itself.

  • It's not a good Arnold impression but still:

    Rabbi P.I.

    Sorry, dat's not kosher!

    Hava negelia baby!

Family Guy hasn't even been close to that funny since its first 3 seasons.

  • Family Guy is shit, why do people mention it in relation to anything good

  • Alien has no eyes.

  • atleast his parents still look young

  • Sigh....why do all the great ones die?

  • larf

  • It's just similar to Family Guy in that it's a cartoon for adults and has satirical humor. I think that that's about it. They are two of my favorite shows.

  • LOL!!!

  • sorry, that's not koshaa!

  • Arnold's not coming. You made him cry.

  • Don't you mean Family Guy bares an incredible similarity to The Critic?

The real difference is Family Guy sucks.

  • i laughed so hard at this show..and this was only like, the first couple minutes

  • there's so many movies today that need this treatment. THIS SHOW MUST BE REVIVED!

  • "Because I love you people, i wont force you to watch the muscial number... well maybe just a little".

  • i was 3 when this came out. did they have any part in making Hey Arnold? the drawing looks similar

  • It Stinks! *cut to black*

  • Comment removed

  • Now that I'm older I notice they made Kevin look much older than 23. I'd say like 30 something.

  • The "musical number" is FUNNY!

  • HAVA NAGILA, BABY!

  • "HE'S ONLY 23!"

    *low-pitched scream*

I lol'd so much in one minute...

  • This show is classic if one minute made us laugh a whole episode is even better.

  • I think you meant "It's amazing how much Family Guy ripped this show off."

  • I don't think Family Guy ripped off this, I think its because all shows like this use so many pop culture references.

  • SORRY, THAT'S NOT KOSHER.

  • this show was hilarious

    why was it canceled?

  • Better than Family Guy on many levels..

  • @alpha5romeo agreed

  • @alpha5romeo Family Guy is squirmingly repulsive on so many levels and has none of the heart and wit of the Simpsons. Simpsons pushed their envelope too, but never as grotesquely.Loved The Critic, it had its great moments!

  • @alpha5romeo

Yeah, but then again, everything is...

  • @alpha5romeo Family Guy has no real point. It's all about being offensive and provocative. The stories are usually not very good or well developed, and they lack "the red thread".

  • I MADE YOU OUT OF CLA--

  • a very funny show. i don't know why it was cancelled.

  • And that man is now govonor of the most important state economically in America, which is in a financial crisis. The world is a strange strange place. What are people going to say 200 years from now when they read about that? How the hell do we elect an action star; strike that two action stars to be govonor of states - Minnesota included.

  • 'Hava nagila, baby."

    Lucky kid.

  • "It stinks!" XD

  • hava nagila baby

    lol!

  • Oh dreidel dreidel dreidel, I made you out of cla-

  • Btw, isn't that one in South Park too?

  • I use to love watching the critic! I loved when the critic and his son would see themselves as pandas at the zoo in the opening.

  • me too

  • hahah maaan i miss this show

  • Sorry...that's not kosher.

    Judaism just gained +5 awesome.

  • Habba nagila baby! Hahahahaha, funnny

  • I liked this show.

  • ....................

will people please stop compairing this show to South Park and Family Guy?!

  • @Turbosoaker41 Why? What else do we compare it to? You have to admit, it is MUCH better than Family Guy and South Park.

  • @Turbosoaker41 I know, this show is much more like the Simpsons.. the jokes are actually clever and not "stupid funny".

  • @Turbosoaker41 Agreed. Love this show!

  • @Turbosoaker41 thats no fuuuuun

  • @Turbosoaker41 Umm..... No.

  • hey! it's Jewish culture!

  • Yeah, damn circumcision. I think imma start my own country and force everyone to cut of a pinky finger until it's socially acceptable.

  • oh my god, i wish there was home alone 5 thats too funny lol

  • South Park? What are you people talking about? If anything it is more like the Simpsons! In fact two of the writers for this show did work for The Simpsons

  • The Critic takes place in the same world as the Simpsons. In one epsidoe of the Simpsons he guest star and came to vist Lisa and help her with a problem.
