A boat on water is a bit mysery.  Flying is so much nicer.

unlimited hydroplanes are built to fly just inches above the water. A well balanced boat with a good pilot has only half the prop touching the water and the rest of the boat only hits peaks in rough water. If the water were smooth,the prop would be the only thing touching.Sometimes that balance is disturbed and the boat either plows or flies.
