As for the appeal to victimology/sexism part, I'm from Canada. Our taxes pay for the abortion holocaust. That is extortion. I have the right as a taxpayer, citizen, father etc. to object to abortion. The fertilized egg is human, this is no longer debatable. The question is a philosophical one: "Is it a person?" That can't be proven by science, it's a purely theoretical question. hey, those books are peer reviewed science. "Human" is a scientific term. You must be mistaking it with "person." Those books aren't opinion books, they don't even touch on the issue of abortion. The books detaileach stage of human embryologic development. The texts include timelines which display the timing of the events described, and separate sections on clinical applications and experimental principles which relate embryologic development to clinical problems.

As for specific books, I would recommend "Langman's Medical Embryology" or "Human Embryology" by Larsen. Also, "Essentials of Human Embryology" by Larsen is good too. It will help you understand why humanity begins at conception.

As for the appeal to victimology/sexism part, I'm from Canada. Our taxes pay for the abortion holocaust. That is extortion. I have the right as a taxpayer, citizen, father etc. to object to abortion. The rights of a child is not in question. The rights of what some deem less then a developed thinking, pondering, questioning, being with memories or a conscience is the bitter debate.
I don't think death is that remarkable even in adults if a person dies of natural causes. I watched my mother suffer and die of cancer, which change everything I knew of death.
I'm not sure a fetus has the wherewithal to contemplate one's own life in utero nor has the capacity to "know its self exists."

Hey irishmaudibb, i never saw the original post asking for the citations. I would recommend any book by Langman or Larsen. They are known as world experts on the subject of embryology. The fertilized egg is human, this is no longer debatable. The question is a philosophical one: "Is it a person?" That can't be proven by science, it's a purely theoretical question. hey, those books are peer reviewed science. "Human" is a scientific term. You must be mistaking it with "person." Those books aren't opinion books, they don't even touch on the issue of abortion. The books detaileach stage of human embryologic development. The texts include timelines which display the timing of the events described, and separate sections on clinical applications and experimental principles which relate embryologic development to clinical problems.

As I said go to any wedding, college, public politician speech, graduation ceremony, canvasing meetings, you name it. People almost always have pre written, pre rehearsed, pre thought out speeches either on tele prompters when money allows, or on paper when it does not. That is just what people do.

However I did not ignore your answer. Fact is I looked up the names you gave and found most speech from those names WERE NOT with teleprompter.

Its called a joke. Humour is used often in politics. He was showing his awareness of the fact that the media are interested in Obamas use of said technology. By joking about it he also shows they think nothing of it as they, like me, think the content of speeches is more important than how they are given.
As I have said many times before, nearly all big speeches are pre-written. Teleprompters, paper, good old fashioned memorising, flash cards and more are then used to deliver them. Big deal.
