hi dr. parsa,i really need your help,i kind of have the same problem with this patient.and you are right,i do feel alone.hopefully i could avail your expertise soon.i'm currently based in europe.
I was born with ptosis, but not severe however enough to affect my eyesight, I live in NYC though and not sure if I need to travel all the way to cali to find a perfect surgeon for my eyes, any suggestions?
Im 18years old and ten days ago I had ptosis surgery on my left eye. My droop was minor it was around 1mm. it is now perfect. Im over the moon, I never expected it to be so good, my confidence is back. I was really lucky to find a good surgeon who would touch me on the NHS. Words cant describe how Im feeling I cant believe I doubted getting this done before hand!
Just wanted to ask how old r u...nd again how does ur eyelids look? Also how was the feel of having the surgery, was it painful later, also how long did it take to heal?? And finally where did u get it done?
@lucky88shp sorry i took so long to reply... but i'm 15, and it was on my left eye, and it was really visible before, but now it looks so much better. it was painful and sore for about a week after, took about a month to fully heal, but i was back at school about 2 weeks after. i got it done at my local hospital, free on the nhs.
I have ptosis on my left eye and I always had troubles at school because of that and these videos just help a lot of people of taking conscience about how you can cure your eye when you think you're just damned to look yourself and not to like it.
I had my Ptosis surgery done today, on both eyes. The only part of the surgery that was unpleasant was the Local Anaesthetic being injected into the eyelids, otherwise I felt absolutely nothing. My eyes felt very gritty when the eye pads were taken off, and I feel a bit depressed, otherwise im now looking forward to them both healing over the coming weeks and seeing the results.
Hey, just wanted to ask how does ur eyelids look, nd how long did it take to heal nd also where did u get it done. Im seriously considering it nd need advice nd confidence. Please reply, thnx
My surgery is November 11th with Michael Warner.... I have ptosis in my left eye. I'm praying for a good result. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. I live in Southern CA.
im afraid to get it. but having 1 eyelid slightly lower than the other makes me extremely self-concious. looking people in the eye for example... any advice as far as get the surgery, not, or other solutions? please.
oh my gosh, me too, i know exactly how you feel. I have ptosis in my right eye and only recently have thought of correctional surgery. It's always been something I've wanted to have fixed but I'm afraid of the risks and don't know if it's worth it... But seeing the girl's surgery in this video turning out so wonderfully, it makes me wonder what it might be like. I live in Canada but would love some advice as well.
I too am in the exact same situation....very self conscious to look ppl in the eye bcoz of the ptosis i have in left eyelid. I just hate it nd i really am considering surgery, lemme know if u have any updates or any more info regarding surgery nd your thoughts, thnx
this video makes us hoping cause my daughter (aged by 3)have ptosis too since she was born - both eyes concerned, one eyelid a bit more than the other. Indeed the focus is is free enough to get developing right seeing, considered by conection of eyes and brain. The doctor said. Your video is the evidence for me and my wife that healing (in fact of look)is possible.I suppose it is a bit too soon having surgery.Thank you very much for put in this video by youtube. We are hopefull now!!!!
I think i have ptosis. but it only droops if i look straight. if i look up my levator muscles work fine. maybe theres too much skin on one lid. i was born that way. it sux
