is this his peak time? wow wow wow he had a lot of wow factors esp. on jumping skills!!! if the jumping skills are at this level - overwhelming, it wouldn't be necessary to grade on artistry & still would win by huge margin! BTW, sorry for olympic 2010. it was my first time to watch his performance, but i couldn't say that was a gold performance. . this program is def. worth to the gold, yes yes yes!

@wCoffeeNTea It´s difficult to say when was Plushenko´s peak. In 2003-2004 his jumps were indeed overwhelming, he could have had the best program in the history of FS, it was impossible not to focus on his jumps. Orther aspects of his skating improved later, under the COP, but unfortunately due to injuries and surgeries he lost the amazing flexibility. Later, the age started to affect his skating, specially the footwork. I would say that his peak last until 2005 when he underwent surgery.

this performance is spectacular, as tribute of Nijinsky or the Godfather, I think they are so close, truth is Plushenko is the best skater ever, and each of his performances are absolutely incomparable.

Unfortunately you are right. That's why Lysacek won. It is just "wiser" today not to jump quads. No fight, just cold calculation. New score system was to be better but it just destroys figure skating, I mean REAL figure skating

I've watched this program since 2003 so many times but i still love it. This guy is spectacular, amazing, incomparable, top quality... simply the best. It's difficult to find enough words to describe such a talent. Figure skating is just not the same without him.

Man, almost every competition from 2003 to 2006 was like a cakewalk for him. No one in the field could even come close. If only he skated like this in Torino, maybe it would've been more interesting. This is one of my favorite Plushy performances, along with Once Upon a Time in America.

It's by Igor Korneliuk, the music is inspired by the show "Banditsky St. Pettersburg," or "Criminal of St. Petersburg" but it had actually been arranged specifically for this program so it can be used in skating, and now of course has different context, as a tribute to the city's history.
