Slightly left of a white paper, but it does pertain to foreign policy today. Castro now says that "Communisn doesnt work", Trump on the other hand says ,"Take it as payment , as too the victor belongs the spoils", for the war over non existant WMD. That is why voting here in the US so important ,not just to the US ,but to the world.... It might not be as simple to understand today, what is right, but it is certainly simple, to know what is wrong.

@BlackHeartRC Hate to break it to you buddy but that's not what Christianity is at all. Going to church is not a requirement, but rather a way to stay in touch with God when everything and everyone else in the world tells you God is Dead. Some other people who call themselves "Christians" may have polluted your view of Christianity by imposing their views on you, but it is so much more than submit and don't ask questions, or burn.

Wow, fascinating documentary for 1960. Dr. Burke's passion is palpable, but I don't think he really has a clue as to what the USA should have been doing. He seemed to understand why the Cuban revolution resonated universally, but couldn't connect the American experience to it.

ive been to the usa and cuba and I can tell you the yanks are nothing more than money grabbing ignorant people the worst ive personally met, ive been all over notth africa, europe and most of asia and ive never seen more poverty than ive seen in the usa, in cuba they have free school equally avaliable to all and a health system second to none and free to all, after huricane katrina cuba sent more aid to luisiana than their own government without looking for a good press. god bless cuba

This is actually a well thought out film looking at the reasons for the revolution and it's success, as for politics if the system in Cuba worked you wouldn't have had so many people jumping on boats to escape. Workers paradise... People don't want to escape paradise.

Communist or not, Castro just wanted to take all US affiliation out of Cuba. The president dictator Fulgencio Batista was backed by the US and used Cuba as tourist attraction for post-WW2 soldiers and sailors in the 50s. Castro threw out Batista so Cuba wouldn't wind up like Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is not an independent country, it's owned by the US.

Castro used USSR's help to get bigger guns in the "my gun is bigger than yours" argument with the US after Bay of Pigs.

@feelofairisgood Castro was foremost a land owning nationalist with a social conscience.He was driven into the arms of the Warsaw powers because they bought Cuban sugar etc etc. As a independent country he had to arm in order to defend the state from Invasion. from hostile neighbors. Everyone must be aware now what happened to a democratically elected President Allende . He and his Government were murdered by the CIA backed Fanatic Pinochet along side 1000s more tortured.

A revolution is only good if the its leaders create a contract demonstrating what system they have designed to replace that which currently exists.

Further, if those leaders promise the people the fruits of other people's labor the must be rejected on ethical grounds.

So far the only revolution in history which promised people a system which guarantees a freedom whereupon the recipients are free to benefit from the fruits of their own labor is the US rev. Rights cannot be material promises.
