I like watching his Street Fighter 3 matches, that stuff's just sick. After having finally gotten around to playing SF3: 3rd Strike and realising just how steep the learning curve was on it compared to the SF4 series (parries in particular) I found a whole new respect for him re-watching that miracle reversal where he was down to a final round pixel of health and parried Chun Li's super all the way to steal the win.

Im from Jamaica and my fact is that Daigo can play street fighter but in terms of skill, cant say much for that but still a good fighter. i have been playing street fighter from i was 12 and now i can say i would love to take him on just for the fun of it. The opponents he did battle with were low ranking players of SF overall. How can someone be World Champion and not visit other countries and do battle with the real demons of fighting games? like me...

I think you're right...i think Air plays more of a chess match type safer/patient Ryu. Its easier for the average Ryu player to emulate him, because you can see why he's doing what he's doing, but Daigo, he just owns people because of his ability to read people so well...Air will win, but Daigo will literally dominate an opponent with offensive pressure and mind games. Its like he plays with no fear sometimes.That's just IMO though.

i think alot of ppl get the meaning of "best player" wrong.its not the amount of combos he links in a match that makes him good.its skill and knowledge of how all the characters in the game are played which also includes pacing, reaction time and most important adaptability; ur not a pro if u can only win against ppl ur lvl or a little higher.and him losing a match or two some time, doesnt mean hes not champ.cus many ppl lose match for alot of reasons; off day, bad controller, wrong tactics...

If you really want to pronounce it right you kind of have to take your "Ree-you" and only say "R-you". Then you're pretty close
