I've got G.A.S. bad also. Or should i say U.A.S. Ukulele Aquisition Syndrome. I have 3 Mele Uke's now. 8 string double hole tenor, 4 string Tenor & Concert. I think I have 7 ukes and can't stop buying. I tend to switch ukes for different songs i like to play. I like my syndrome and do not want to be cured anytime soon.
Hey Kenrg-did you get your Mele yet? If not, maybe we can make a deal. Can we get a DV copy of this so we can add a voice-over and run it on cable? JD for Mele

The last attack of G.A.S. I had involved a Mitchell ukulele. It's a beautiful uke but I really hadn't used it much. Symptom of acute(or is it obtuse?) GAS.
Actually, maybe it was a tenor, not a baritone. But, yeah, they do have 6 and 8 string models, and can put in some pretty cool electronics if you like.
Ditto me all strings. I like the plinky-plinky sound of a ukulele. One of my subscriptions - keonepax - plays and will do a pop or rock song once in awhile on ukulele. The sound adds a kind of innocence to certain songs, imho -- =)
