thanx for the great vid, couple of questions, how to center the picture in html/css, and how to make only this picture visible without any other backgrounds
complete newbie, sorry for asking such a silly question but i can slice the image fine but when i copy the html codes and put them online the images doesnt come up, the outline does but not the image. where am i going wrong? i know its somthing simple
i designed our company's website this way but my boss is comlaining about how the site loads, because they are all slices it looks kinda messy when the site loads.. does somebody know how i can make it load without seeing the slices? thanks in advance
@dantaz if you want to be really secure use 1024x768 but if you know that most of your visitors will be viewing your page from modern pcs (for example you are creating a page for a pc gaming community) try something bigger and possible widescreen
@dantaz Manually open a new file at 72dpi 800x600 (or whatever length you like), Many of the later photoshop editions have it in presets, ie, open photoshop-File-New--Presets-web. Here you can choose your size, however i wouldnt go above 800 pixel width as this width size is ideal for most screens especially the smaller screens and nobody likes to use the bottom slide scroll on a website!
Nice tutorial, but i was actualy looking for one that explains how i create a working template of al my slices for joomla... Hope youl be postin more video's soon. You are a great teacher :P
Amazing video! But I have two questions that maybe you or anyone else here could answer. First question: Say if I made a website and dedicated one of the slices I made to a "news section" well maybe a month later I wanted to change the wording of the news. For example it used to say "the company is brand new." Then a few months later I wanted it to say "The company has been around for 6 months." How would I do that? And my second question: How do you center the page in the middle of Internet ex
