  • This has long been my favorite song of any genre of all time. This arrangement and performance is definitely my favorite one I have ever heard. Thank you for posting it.

  • awasome!

  • This song really helped me to get grips with my father's death(age 56). Rest in peace dad.

  • i came here because of Malcolm in the middle lol :D

  • Sehr Schönes Musik - it has such passion - its up there with Tschaikovsky's Pathetique Symphony for me, as far as classical music with such deep passion goes.

  • So where do i find more music like this? is there a genres that it is considered?

  • @c130che There is a double CD called 'Baroque Adagios' (available on Amazon) - I think you will love it if you like this :)

  • to think most ppl are listening to justin beaver rite now Rofl!!!!!! what a sad world

  • i got goosebumps ... yet they were good goosebumps ...love it

  • this video shouldn't have emo kids crying, it should be people rejoicing to the beauty of the music

  • @TeamShadowNY

    There aren't "emo kids" crying.

You don't know what I connect/ associate with this music...

    so think about your comment.

  • @Irrschnee well I thought about it...and i'm pretty sure 6:17 is a pic of pure crying emo kid action. lawlz

  • @Irrschnee Shut up Emo

  • @1990LIGHT lol... Erzähl das deinem Friseur.

  • @TeamShadowNY BITCH! you don't decide what other peoples emotions reflect with the beauty of this song so stfu

  • @Tiiestosensation yes i do.

  • @TeamShadowNY Beauty and crying go hand in hand. >.>

  • @TeamShadowNY

How depressed do you have to be when Albinoni Adagio is the piece of music that cheers you up?

  • @TeamShadowNY What? A load of people doing what? Bowing at a pipe organ? Dunno how you'd represent that. =P

Didn't think anyone actually watched these kinds of videos. Close your eyes, or have a read about Albinoni while listening. That's what I do, and I'm a pretentious musician with delusions of grandeur so, according to me, I probably know best.

  • If you want the best performance of this song.... buy the movie - Gallipoli. Which dealt with Australian's fighting in WW I and stars a young Mel Gibson. A very good (but sad) movie and a perfect redition (IMO) of this masterpiece.

  • beautiful

  • I'd like to know the info on who performed this recording.

  • @vibrashn

    Tomaso Albinoni

  • @Irrschnee

Hardly! He died in 1751 :) I asked who performed this particular recording...I know who composed it. But thanks for the reply

  • @Irrschnee Not bad for a bloke who has been dead for 260 years. I think the previous poster wanted to know who performed the recording, not who wrote the piece.

  • @Irrschnee Not bad for a bloke who has been dead for 260 years. I think the previous poster wanted to know who performed the recording, not who wrote the piece.

  • @Irrschnee Albinoni was alive from 1671 - 1751 so I really don't think he performed on this recording. What @vibrashn was wondering is what symphony orchestra performed this specific recording (note that every version of this song on YouTube is by a different orchestra). ;)

  • @Irrschnee -_-

  • @riggermortisify selber -_-

  • @vibrashn I've just listened to it on the wireless and the announcer said that although it is attributed to Albinoni it was actually written by a 20th Century Musicologist and Albinoni biographer named Remo Giazotto. There's also other information on Wikepedia under "Adagio in G Minor" Hope this is helpful.

  • @360ofdaylight

thanks, but again I wasn't asking who "wrote" it....I was asking who performed this particular recording that we listened to.

  • @vibrashn Baroque Ensemble of Vienna.

  • The most moving piece of music ever created... by far. I celebrate you, Tomaso!

  • Lovley music better then this crap we have today

  • Wow, the first video without thumbs down!

  • @mrjoeri YES!! I thought this is because the type of person that appreciates what is here cannot be negative.

  • When I fist heard it, was asked to say what I thought of it and without thinking I sed: Angels play!

  • There aren't really enough words in English to describe beautiful music.

  • the pic at 0:47 is sooo cooooool i also hate how people say classical for a piece of barque music. they are about 100 years to early to call it classical!

  • @musicallytalented2

So music from which times can be classified as classical?

  • @DictatorRoB its from 1750 to about 1810. the classical period is in between the baroque period (which this piece is from) and the romantic period :) x

  • @musicallytalented2

That piece is classified as neo-Baroque. It's only attributed to Albinoni but it's written by Remo Giazotto (apparently he had a tiny fragment of one of Albinoni's non published scores, he found in a library in Dresden; he never could prove that though).

That piece was written in 1945.

  • @musicallytalented2

Classical is from 1750 to 1810?

  • @musicallytalented2 Classical music (not capitalised in mid-sentence) is a valid term for describing Western art music in general. The Classical Period is a different, more specific term.

  • @johnalt16 ye ano. im a music student. lol wat i was sayin is that there is a specific period in time which where music was classical. its in between the baroque era and the romantic era. all i was sayin is that i dont like how the word classical is used to sum up all that music. no big deal really but really gets to me lol x

  • It soooo beautiful and cutiest classic music, I love it.

I Qualifyt this music with Five Stars.

    *****.

  • This is not sad music ... this is touching art. Uplifting brilliance.

The music that depresses me is the shit we hear on the radio every day.

  • @TrygviMurt Maybe. But that photo at the 2:00 mark isn't so peppy.

  • @ezekieloak

Robert Capa "The Falling Soldier" Spain Civil War 1936

  • Bellísima interpretación... Es todo lo que puedo decir... Insuperable... No sé por qué, me dio por recordar a mi hermano, mientras escuchaba la música... snifff...

  • This song is magnificent.

  • It's not from Albinoni. It's from Remo Giazotto. He fraudulously attributed this to Albinoni.

More info at Wikipedia: Adagio in G minor
