@KanadexAngel Sorry to say, but unfortunately no...

Disgaea DS is basically a remake of the PSP's "Afternoon of Darkness", with extra stuff thrown in. (e.g. unlocking and recruiting characters such as Plenair, Adell, and Rozalin)...I think Zetta too, but I'm not too sure on THAT one! =P

Anyway, while the DS got these sweet bonuses, the voice-acting pretty much got canned for a large portion of the game. =(

It IS still possible to fight Adell and Rozalin in the PSP version, you just can't recruit them. So even if the PSP has better graphics and more voice acting, I'd still most likely say that Disgaea DS is the better buy. =P (But, again...that's just MY opinion). xP

Mid-Boss cant be Laharls Father, mabye an uncle, but his father died imprisoning Baal, he wasnt powerful enough to beat him so he died, there is some relation, just not father-son

If you didn't already know you can unlock Zetta (book) at stellar graveyard only if the enemy rank is maxed(ive gotten him but its very hard everthings lvl 9999 on the map) you can also unlock Adell and Rozalin from disgaea 2 at the cave of ordeals, but they use monster only weapons(rozalin has a nemesis, so does Zetta)

You can get Pleinair as a free DLC in Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days for PSP (coming Sept. 22) shortly after it arrives in stores. There are more exclusive DLCs coming for the game (which are already available in Japan).

No. As soon as you lose, restart the game file, do the tutorial and should have Pleinair. You'll also still have all of your units from before, so no worrying there.
