  • I really like the little thing at 2:08, it jumped out at me, but resolved nicely. :)

  • my left ear likes the music

  • @CamoteMaster - Not sure what happened there. I only noticed when I just now listened through headphones.

  • @GBagley XD

  • Thats quite a tone!

  • why are you sooo freakin good!!!

    jealous

  • @footballXcrazyX2012 Cuz he doesn't play football!! Just kiddin' :(

  • @ickerolig - Although this is true...

  • woah totally deep sound bro

  • nice tree dude

  • It's only recording left. Which is making me spin circles in my chair tying to hear better...

  • @AnnaDahmer6666 Those are not frets, they're position markers inlaid into the wood in order to help the player know where he is playing.

  • @superstriker00 Well...except for the difference in sound and expression...doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose? lol

  • @AnnaDahmer666 - The fret-lines don't affect the sound/expression at all. It's just different colored wood inlaid into the spots where frets would be. It's only visual.

  • @GBagley *facepalms* oops, I meant as fretted vs. frettless...lol?

  • @AnnaDahmer666 I think you might not understand anything about fretless instruments.

  • @superstriker00 ...well that much would be obvious. It just seems like you're cheating if you get a fretless instrument with 'faux-frets'...I mean duh, you'd have the sound/expressive advantage. (i.e. warm-sounding slides without so much background noise). This one just seems odd to me is all.

Anyways I've been playing a 6-string bass for years now and wouldn't mind having one of this guy's acoustic 6-strings myself...fretted or 'faux-fretted'

  • @AnnaDahmer666 The point of the fretless instruments is really the tone and other technical advantages, why would you want an instrument you couldn't really use because you couldn't hit the notes?

  • @superstriker00 ...because if it were fretless then it would be the perfect oppurtunity to learn to play by ear - to have a feel for the music and not just an eye for it.

  • @AnnaDahmer666 The purpose of a fretless instrument is to get the tones and techniques you wouldn't be able to normally, whether or not it has fret markers is irrelevant. And there are PLENTY of fretted instrument players who can play by ear, so I'm not getting your point here.

  • It sounds fretless...but I'm confused when I see what looks like frets when I look at the headstock...care to explain?

  • @AnnaDahmer666 those are just lines where the frets would be, just to help those who arent used to fretless i guess

  • Oh my, that tone is wonderful. A million times better than my fretless, although admittedly it is homemade. I could never sell that, but it's fair enough if you didn't play it. Hopefully the current owner does.

  • Wonderful tone.

  • beautiful sustain! that tone! >:( but no ffffrets?

  • In your left ear!

  • was this acoustic ?!?!

  • @thtmusicloser - Plugged in direct to computer.

  • First!
