Can you drive this on the street? I'm thinking about purchasing one of these to do things like go to work, transport small things, and do things around town.
I picked my 2012 up on Dec.31st. My two boys and myself have enjoyed how well it's built and all the safety features. It's a big mean machine coming through the woods.
ive had my ranger hd since 09 and have YET to have any problems. And there is a reason they are number 1 in the off road market. Check the stats, hondas are down longer due to repairs then polaris is.
Gotta disagree with you there. Not sure where you get your stats from, but any unbiased ATV owner will tell you that Hondas are far and away the most reliable atv on the market. Polaris has had problems with their belt based CVT transmission--go to any Polaris forum and many owners that have had both brands will say that Honda is more reliable. In wet conditions, the belt slippage sucks. Polaris makes bigger engines but honda's reliability is their bread and butter.
Polaris ranger came out longggggg before the big red. Can-am isnt bad. Ive seen alot of problems with the new commander they are trying to work out of it. But no matter the new polaris rzr 900 xps blows it out of the water. I find that hillarious.
Haha danthemanzizzle, polaris IS number one in the off-road division. Better and more reliable? Um honda cars are really not reliable compared to chevy and ford. Lets see here um john deere and grasshopper are number one in their divisions for mowers, motorcycles harley wins hands down, scooters, are kinda plain stupid. So in every division, honda might have something but they just cant compete. Your remarks are stupid and irrelevant
hmm funny, my polaris ranger hd has alota hours on it. And has never been in the shop. Only for oil changes. I think honda needs to stick to cars.....and self propelled lawn mowers. leave the sxs to the professionals
@Strasburg57812 do you know what i find funny honda was one of the first atv manufactures And i would never own a honda car i will stick to my old 69 toyota but thats a different story, polaris rangers are no better than the big red they are both utilitys but if you want a funny (lol) the canam is the best all around company except they dont make dirt bike thank you for reading this i love you lol
campared to kawasaki yamaha and polaris... i would not even drive that stupid looking thing lol... it just looks awkward. also honda should not of used a name from a old 3 wheeler... just ruins the big red name... yamaha rhino, honda hippo? something like that would be better.
@Spenlard But it's cheaper than a truck or jeep, better on fuel and in some cases could be more fun. It can get through tighter trails and could even do some light jumps. But I do think it's over priced!
if youre buying from a dealer or used from someone you could get one. and trucks have a bigger payload. i'd just buy a rhino/teryx/ranger instead of this. then i could have more fun after my work! but this wuld be better than a mule.

@Hotrodnickell Do not buy a Arctic Cat. Please I have a 07 700 LE and there is something constantly wrong with it.
