He's d real African Lion,in d Dangerous Gov't Jungle,,,,,,,i miss d King Big time, Shango Olukoso Fire & Thunder human incarnate, hes not dead he lives in us all.....
fela represent love, care for the black race,i classify him as macolm x,martins lutar king, bob marley, those that fough for the blacks freedom and liberty with power, music and life all over the entire globe,
BTW, I believe this song is called Sorrow, Tears, and Blood. If not, that is the chorus part of the lyrics. I had the album. FYI: Paul McCartney said in an interview that the best concert he'd seen in his life was Fela in Lagos.
If that is Jack Bruce on keyboards, he is doing a lousy job. He doesn't get Fela's music at all. He's playing cliched blues licks like someone from some hack rock band imitating blues. Anderson sounds good here though.
Clearly this amazing Afro-Groove isn't an easy groove to keep up with. The underlining subtle complexities of the groove glides smootly and seems to accomodate & sustain everyone's instrumental talents.
Ian Anderson and Jack Bruce together!!!! YEAH!!!!
