Timing belt skipped a couple teeth. So my compression was in the 30's lol got a new timing belt and it fired right up.

LOL engine is turning so no the starter is not bad , sounds like a timing probleme or a blown engine :|

sounds like thae starter to me i just bought a 91' saab 900 turbo vert and it mskes the same noise but after like 3-4 times it starts easy fix tho so you can do it yourself
