Back in the day, Eastie residents were promised they wouldn't have to pay tolls just to get around or in or out of downtown Boston. That was a humongous lie from the government. This is the only neighborhood in Boston that is treated so shabbily, what with Massport stealing all the land, Wood Island Park, Neptune Road, etc. EAST BOSTON IS NOT AN AIRPORT!!!!!!
