  • thank you so much... this was a very helpful video. You did an excellent job on explaining how to use the formula. Thanks again

  • Thank you!

  • thats great

  • Thanks,

really helped for a better understanding!

  • Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong...... I calculate the SD for 4.7=2.17 (2.167948) and the SD for 79.9=8.94. The SD is the square root right????

  • @f4everinyagrill Nope, SD is Standard Deviation. Google it. :)

  • @f4everinyagrill The formula for standard deviation takes some work when done by hand (see my basic stats videos). In any case, the SD for Y is 11.5706 because we take the square root of [1/9 X (65045-63840.1) or square root of 133.8778.

  • make your video more intersting..

  • Good explanation

  • can some1 tell why is 47 x 799 = 37 5553 and when u add add x and y is = to 3939.

    i was thinking want sum = xy? since x times y = xy . so why cant u times 47 by 799 ?

p.s i knoe they noting wrong with the vedio .

  • @ka10kk The reason we have 3755.3 is because we multiply 10 X 47 X 799 (not just the latter two). We don't multiple sum of x and sum of y to get the sum of xy, but we add up all the xy's listed above it. Thus 340+48+.... = 3939.

  • Thank you very, very much!

  • piece of cake! thank you so much :D

  • Thank you so much for all your videos. They are among the best especially for stats! Thanks so much for the help!

  • Very nice! Well explained. More people should watch this video for those who are confused with this.

  • can you create a video for the least squares method and how it is used for predictions? PLEASE......

  • Thank you soooo much. This was the BEST video I found for these kinds of problems.

  • That was VERY well explained. I was able to follow through completely with my homework!!! Thanks

  • Wow! I...am....so screwed! I'm in Statistics right now, and we just started on this. I've watched tons of videos, browsed my notes, etc. and it's still lost on me.

  • Thank you for posting this video you don't know much this helps. I will show this to my other friends who need help with this.

    This is much apreciated.
