  • Hi, I had a 1966 Cortina Mk 1. It was the first car I really got on the road, (GAF 178D), and have fond memories of it and the travels I put it through. I confess I was never happy with the steering box with it's drop arm and drag-link steering arrangement, the rack and pinion of the Mk2 being considerably superior. Er...I think that's correct.... Such a great car though. Enjoy!

  • sweet car.

  • Absolutely gorgeous. Saw this in Classic ford and just loved it. Now I got Graham coming round mine on friday to quote restoring my Anglia 105E. If it's half as nice as this "tina" when it's done ill never stop smilling.

    You must love driving it.

  • Thanks! Best of luck with your resto. Graham's work is impeccable! The Anglia 105E is my second dream car. I'm currently changing the engine on the 'tina for a more original spec pre-xflow. Maybe i'll have to get an Anglia to put the spare engine in :-)

  • can you please give me the paint code for the new paint that went on this car, or even the name of the colour please? I also have a MK1 2 door. Great resto by the way, looks amazing!

Thanks! Colour is either A5 PPG 44108, or A6 PPG 44338, according to which website you look at. To be sure, give Graham at Classic Car Restorations in Norwich a ring. He knows. Please note that colour can look more blue-ish on photos and film. It is green to the eye.

  • The Cortina is just awesome. Great resto there!!!!
