Man this fuckin rocks. Not only is track speed a hell of a lot faster out there than where I am on the corridor, but they don't give you shit for standing on the platforms with a tripod and a camcorder. I live by Bridgeport, and whenever I go out local fanning on the NEC, I literally get the cops called on me every other time just by being out on the plarforms shooting the rush hour action. its awesome that they don't care about railfans out east. I gotta get up there.

You are really lucky for where you live. I live in Bayside so all I get are the LIRR PW trains and a very very rare freight passing by. You can get friegt amtrak and commuter by just walking over to the station! I have to go into the city to get that kind of stuff.
