Well I really enjoyed the book, having first read it when I was around 14. About ten years later I still like it, and reread it a couple of times a year. I am a big fan of Madeleine L'Engle's writing. If you haven't read the other books about the Austin family you should check them out: Meet the Austins, The Moon by Night, The Young Unicorns and Troubling a Star. The last book, Troubling a Star, takes place after A Ring of Endless Light.

I know. The book was great and the movie had amazing potential to be great too but...it wasn't! John is such a great character, in all of the Austin books by L'Engle. Adam is also a great character. If you read "A Severed Wasp" (also by L'Engle), you get to see what Suzy is like when she's grown up and married. You should read all of L'Engle's books about the Austins, and the Murrys/O'Keefes too! =D
