I don't agree....I think tv was way better back then...yeah, we have more channels, but they are all the same thing, and getting more and more "r" rated...this was all classic, clean, family shows, with just enough hinting at dirty jokes to be funny. I miss it.
NBC was so bad in the late 1970's and early 80's that this was one of the network's better shows. I think it was a spinoff of "Diffrent Strokes" which was one of the few successful programs on NBC----and this was in the days when there was only three networks and PBS! Television is 1000% better now than it was back then.
Did he say he wuld give her his special wood if she wanted it at 0:50?
