gta is for 18+ i play it since im 8 , it didnt make me any violent til n ow that im 13 and gta has gang wars , lot of guns , blood and i modified it to become with better blood effects , til now im not any more violent cuz of the game.

There is a correlation between violent video games and violent behaviour.
We need greater restrictions on kids playing these games. For example: if a game is rated 18+ then implement a system where anyone under that age cannot play that game.
@Antipopularization I understand that idea of yours, but it truly will not work. Most of my games are 17+ and I'm only 15. The only people who can actually implement that idea would be parents. As parents do have final say on what things to buy for their childeren.

And I heard somewhere that scientists have done studies that have proven that violence in video games helps relieve stress in young teens and keeps them from going out and harming real people. Video games aren't causing violence. The constant glorification of violence in movies and shows are what promote violence. @Antipopularization I understand that idea of yours, but it truly will not work. Most of my games are 17+ and I'm only 15. The only people who can actually implement that idea would be parents. As parents do have final say on what things to buy for their childeren.

I agree that parents have a responsability towards their children, but children are not innocent. They may not be as intelligent a most adults, but they can be just as evil. If he likes violent games because he's attracted to violence, and he likes to use violence in reality, it is not the parents fault per se, the kid is just violent

And I heard somewhere that scientists have done studies that have proven that violence in video games helps relieve stress in young teens and keeps them from going out and harming real people. Video games aren't causing violence. The constant glorification of violence in movies and shows are what promote violence. And even then it isn't the show or the movies fault it's the parent's for letting their kid(s) watch it in the first place.

If a kid becomes violent because they play violent video games it's because of two things: One, the parents didn't teach them the difference between video games and reality. You can never do anything in real life that you could do on GTA. I've played violent video games since i was 4 and i'm not violent and i never got into a fight and never want to because i have common sense and my parents taught me from right and wrong. And two, the kid just doesn't have any common sense to begin with.
