@JMRG2992 This was originally an arcade game like Super DBZ was and then both were ported to PS2. Also, like DBZ Budokai series was on PS2 prior to Super DBZ, so was Yu Yu Hakusho Forever for PS2 as well as the U.S. developed Yu Yu Hakusho Dark Tournament (though not that good). Finally, Dimps (developer) also made 2 Saint Seiya fighting games for PS2. And you might wanna check out Capcom's History's Greatest Disciple Kenichi for PS2 as well as Garouden Breakblow series for PS2 and Bleach Blade

Just buy both, I have YYH forever and this, they are both good games with different play style, YYH forever provides fast pace gameplay and flashy graphics with a little budokai treatment and this game revolves around pulling out combos and multiple move lists to excecute on opponents kinda like virtua fighter but they're both great and play them both

yeah me too, i cant beat the guy, cant count the number of times i lost against him. the closest method i ever got to lowering his life is to start it out with a grab damage, then the final attack, then another grab, and lastly button mash him to death.. it was close.. but i still havent beaten him yet. :(

I prefer yuyu hakusho forever coz this games lacks the intensity of power they have in the anime series, unlike in forever.just see how it made yusuke's raygun like a weak force wave. and it somehow rip a tekken style fighting concept.sure it has cool graphics for a credit but not the gameplay.

See now I know you dont know what you're talking about because if you did, you'd know that this game was modeled off the Virtua Fighter engine, not Tekken. Especially since it has the same 3 button layout and similar move sets.

Also whats cool about this game is some of the moves and combos you can pull off. Forever was more fan service like DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi is to DBZ Budokai series.

This game is better than Yu Yu Hakusho Forever. In Forever you only have a few attacks + special. But in this one you have more characters (although no three kings, Shura, Enki) like Gouki, Rando, Suzaku and Touya. I prefer this one.

I'm turning my PS2 into an importing machine now. This is the game that has sent me over the edge. Dimps has proven they can make good fighting games with Budokai 3.
