I remember when I first read the part of the manga where Lin turned into Greed, I liked this series a lot, and it was one of the only two manga's that I did like. But I read the ending..... oh well.

Ling now has many souls inside of him, with the two most powerful being himself and Greed. When Greed was depressed after killing Bido he let his guard down and Ling was able to regain control since he is still alive in the body. In the fight you are talking about Ling overpowers greed (with diffivulty it seems) to warn ed about al. Then Greed let's him take over because Lin is a better sword fighter. I hope that helped :)

It is definitely a commercial. They showed it during the Japan airings of FMA Brotherhood when I watched it live to advertise for the manga. I'm not going to flag or anything because I like it, but I still think it should be noted in the credits.
