Saw him top the bill at the Brighton Dome around 1968. Brilliant line up including The Nice and Pink Floyd. We were all deaf for nearly 30 mins after the concert! Last saw him at the first Isle of Wight Festival 1970....a very sad loss of an absolutely brilliant performer!

Always did play his best when he had an appreciative small audience rather than idiots merely there for a show. Not being given a second look by the sort of dullard who listens to Coldplay or modern shit or who thinks its a grand thing to see creaking old rockers like The Strolling Bones would suit Hendrix fine.

accomplished had he lived longer. And, for those of you who don't consider him great I

got to see him 11/68 from FRONT row seats. Trust me, he was GREAT. When he smashed his guitar & lit it on fire I was suddenly in the 20th row as everyone rushed the stage! It was the Jimi "Experience" with all the stops pulled out.
